He did understand the times in which he lived, albeit through a secular mind. So he had no real answers. Too bad He never came to faith. Had he understood from God's point of view, he could have offered hope.
I though Bob did come to faith? "Slow Train Coming" and "Saved" and all that...

A quick search reveals:

In a Rolling Stone interview from 1969, Dylan said that he had been “going through some changes”
and had been “thinking about Jesus”. In the early 1970s, Dylan became friends with singer-songwriter
Ronnie Hawkins, who introduced him to the teachings of Jesus. In the late 1970s, he became a born-
again Christian and released a series of albums of contemporary gospel music before returning to
his more familiar rock-based idiom in the early 1980s. Dylan has admitted to being a Christian
because of the way music aids in his faith. Nonetheless, Dylan's return to Judaism did not appear to
undermine his Christian faith, and he also stated that his conversion did not invalidate his Christian
faith. Dylan's view is that both the Old and New Testaments apply to him.

Well, I'm not his judge. Hopefully, he did come to faith.

Maybe I'm getting mixed up with someone else, but I read an account that Bob Dylan did become a Christian before his death. It was hidden from the public because the controllers didn't want that to be know, though. Was he the Rastafarian dude?

The Rastafarian dude was Bob Marley, not Bob Dylan. As far as I know, Bob Dylan is still alive.

Ha, ha. Yes. Thanks. My apologies. I am not a close follower of celebrities. The account was that Bob Marley became a Christian some months before his death, but that this was deliberately hidden from the world. I didn't look into it further, but it wouldn't surprise me to learn it was the truth.

There is a famous race car driver (I cannot remember his name at the moment) who claims that he led George Harrison, one of the Beatles, to Christ before he died. I hope that is the case.

He wasn't Rasta. Magenta gave some history on him above.

Btw, this is what I was referring to in relation to George Harrison being saved:

It is an encouraging video, if you have the time to watch it.
