My daughter and her aunt and their two dogs have just returned from their more-than-two-weeks-long vacation. Yay! My house and cat sitting days are over, for now. I just bought a new car today also and the agent is on his way over to switch out the plates (actually no plates on new car, just temp. insurance for two days) and take away the old car. I have been wanting to add a relevant story to this thread, but may have to do it after getting home...

Add away when you have the time to, and congrats on the new car.

Turning this thread back to its original purpose, I have seen the banned scammer's username listed among the "CC Members Online" twice since the banning. Once yesterday, and once right now as I type, so maybe this fiasco is not over yet. God's will be done.

A banned person can return to the site but they cannot post or send messages, just read the boards basically...

Thank you very much, gee but it's great to be back home! My story has to do with somebody who joined this site claiming to be a woman, inviting men only to private message her to talk about her relationship issues. Myself and another woman thought there was something fishy about this, thinking her desire to speak to men only raised red flags, but there were guys here who took umbrage with us saying there was a problem with her wanting to speak only to men about her sexuality. Two of those men, for months after that, harassed and harangued me endlessly... every chance they got. It was rather bizarre! They eventually got banned, not because of their behavior toward me > that I know of > but for other things. One of those 2 in many of his posts would go on and on about love this and love that and then he would post to me and be just nasty. The other one of the 2 did have doctrinal issues that I would address with him... I don't really remember what they were, and it's not important now. Although it's possible that is why that particular guy got banned. I just think it was odd that they were so adamant that nothing was wrong with a woman wanting only to talk to men about her sexual issues, and how much they resented having anyone' even so much as suggest that there was more than potentially something very wrong with it. Posted from my phone cuz I have not set up my laptop yet...

They will still show as active because their profile has not been deleted, (even though it is not viewable), which is what happens when a person asks to have their account deleted, in which case they then become a guest and everything connected with their account, except for the posts they've made, disappear. With a banned person still having a profile page, you can search out their posts, so that's probably a good idea. Someone who is a guest after having their profile deleted, there is no way to search their history unless you just happen to come across their posts or you know exactly where to look for them.

Example:
I was here once before under a similar name (I needed a break, don't ask...long story)
that name was slightly different than my current one (Godsgirl83)
When I left I asked for the account to be deleted.
Now when I try to search my old stuff by member name it show:

And when I do happen to scroll back and find my old post the name shows:

It does seem odd that a woman would want to discuss her sexuality with men, and only privately at that, but nothing surprises me anymore. I have spent a lot of time on different social media sites over the years, and I think that I could honestly say that I have dealt with dozens and dozens of catfish accounts, and all sorts of other sinful behaviors. It kind of goes with the territory. I am just happy when I get the opportunity to minister to someone who is truly seeking to know Christ or to grow in their Christian walk. I haven't had too many of those opportunities, but the hope of the same is why I even bother with online sites to begin with.

Well, welcome back.

You seem nice, but you are still in trouble with Mom.

so.....
I'll just go to granny about this :p
I did not want to have to be the one to tell you this, but brace yourself.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer.
However,
they did make that song into an animated movie.
And so in Grandma's honor/memory and in keeping with he theme of this thread, I do believe this is what dear Granny would say to he telemarketers and catfishers who pull their sob stories on her:

my husband and i are laughing our heads off! this is EXACTLY what it's like!

when our first grandchild was born, i told his parents unless he was in danger, i wasn't ever going to tell him no.
i said i had had more than 3 decades of telling kids no, and i was done with it. our daughter just smiled, but our son-in-law (the engineer) thought for a moment and replied, that sounds quite reasonable. lol

My sincere apologies, as I didn't mean to derail this very informative thread...
I always love your posts, Seoulsearch. You have interesting stories, and a great way of showing different perspectives which others (including myself) don't always see. Things are often not as black and white as some would believe. No apology needed on my account!

You have no idea how much I appreciate this, Moses. Thank you so much.

One of the reasons I haven't posted as much is because I'm at a point of retelling old stories and didn't feel there was a point in telling them anymore.

Thank you again.

This is one of the best threads I've seen in the forum in a long time. It makes the site fun again!

What I like most is that this thread shows Christians really CAN fellowship in a way that uses MANY God-given talents at the same time, like education, compassion, Scriptural discussion, and even, gasp, humor. 😁

What a blessing!!

I hope we have more threads like this in the future. 🌹

Bob Dylan - The Times They Are A-Changin' (Official Audio)
He did understand the times in which he lived, albeit through a secular mind. So he had no real answers. Too bad He never came to faith. Had he understood from God's point of view, he could have offered hope.
