It would seem that by and large it it not. But there is one church out there that is claiming that the Gospel is exclusively about the Kingdom of God, and NOT about faith in Christ and His finished work of redemption. THIS IS FALSE TEACHING. But this church is promoting Herbert W. Armstrong as the only man who preached the true Gospel: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end [of this age] come” (Matthew 24:14). Only one man fulfilled this prophecy in this end-time: Herbert W. Armstrong. He died in 1986. No other religious figure on this globe has preached the true gospel worldwide. As a matter of fact Armstrong was a very subtle and very powerful false teacher, who influenced many. And here is his "gospel": "The gospel is the good news of the coming Kingdom of God and the all-powerful God family which will rule the earth. It includes the details of salvation and of how one can be born into that glorious Kingdom. How inspiring!" Yes, it is inspiring but it won't save you from Hell.

First of all Christians need to understand that the Gospel is the ultimate Good News from God, and has many designations, but it is still ONLY ONE GOSPEL -- "the everlasting Gospel". It is God who get's to decide what it should be called, depending on the context. When Christ preached, it was "the Gospel of the Kingdom" because it was the King who was preaching it, and directing men to see and enter into the Kingdom of God through the New Birth. See John chapter 3. But Mark calls his Gospel "the beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ" since the entire focus is on Christ Himself. Paul calls it "the Gospel of the Grace of God" because the very foundation of the Gospel is the grace, mercy, and loving kindness of God. He also calls it "the Gospel of God" because God is the ultimate source of the Gospel. It was designed by God and implemented by God through the Lord Jesus Christ. That is also why it is "the Gospel of His Son". And since He is Christ ("the Anointed One") it is also "the Gospel of Christ". And because Christ made peace between mankind and God at the cross, it is called "the Gospel of Peace" (hence peace and goodwill towards men).

So we come to the heart of the matter, "the Gospel of Your Salvation". No person can be saved without believing the full and true Gospel. How that Christ died for our since according to the Scriptures, and rose again for our justification according to the Scriptures. So that we might have the gift of eternal life and the gift of the Holy Spirit. These are God's free gifts of grace to the one who repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ.

And this is where many stumble. Why would God give undeserving sinners these precious gifts? And the answer is found in the heart of God. See John chapter 3.

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
[Note: "water" = Word of God = Gospel]
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master
[teacher] of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

That is dangerous when a person believes the Gospel is the kingdom of God, and not faith in Christ, and His redemption plan.

For they could say we are establishing the kingdom of God on earth without Christ being the master.

It is like the stance the Pope, and Vatican, are taking that if a person does the will of God they are right with God without accepting Christ, which Pope John II said that Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, all have salvation because Abraham is their father.

It is like the hegetsus movement saying Jesus identifies with all people but they reduce His status and is dangerous for they can unite the people with Jesus' love and forgiveness but it will be a different Jesus.

A Jesus that is of the occult, and a good teacher in spiritual enlightenment, and they can evolve like him to be spiritual.

Which some people believe Jesus was born a woman and transgendered to be a man which the LGBTQ community will like that.

It is a deception to give them a new perspective of Jesus that is not true and the Pope and Vatican will eventually accept that position in the future.

It's folly to preach a gospel of salvation without answering the reason for our salvation: representation.

Jesus said "As my Father sent Me, so I send you."

"As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

He did not send us as a sacrifice for all men. No. That role fell exclusively to Jesus Christ.

He send us to represent the Father so that the world may see the Father in us.

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

The gospel of salvation-only creates a bunch of baby believers: just born again. The gospel of the Kingdom (a way of life in Christ leading to maturity) includes salvation and the subsequent care to raise sons who can represent the Father in the earth.

And just to be clear: this is not that ugly "7 Mountains Mandate" garbage. No. We are of a kingdom that is not of this world.

Herbert Armstrong had "another gospel". One does not hear about him much today since his church split up.

They're Judaizers. If the questions is do Judaizers teach the true gospel, the answer is a resounding no.
  • We believe that from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, the seventh day of the week, is God’s Sabbath (Exodus 20:8-11). On this day we must rest from our labors, following the commands and example of the Apostle Paul, the New Testament Church and Jesus. The Sabbath is a sign between God and His people (Exodus 31:13).
  • We believe the seven annual holy days, as given to ancient Israel by God through Moses (Leviticus 23)—kept by Christ, the Apostle Paul and the New Testament Church—are to be kept today. These festivals picture God’s plan and purpose for mankind. The Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread occur every spring; Pentecost is observed in early summer. In the fall, we observe the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day. The sacrifices, which were added and later superseded by Christ’s sacrifice (Hebrews 9:22-10:10), are no longer to be kept on those days nor at any other time.

The reason for our salvation is given in John 3:16, 17. "The love of God" covers it all. What more could one ask? Of course God has a plan for His children, but that is a separate issue.

I doubt you’ll disagree that many pew-sitters simply want a “get out of Hell” card. That’s the inevitable conclusion of a “salvation-only” gospel.

If repentance is fully preached from Scripture (Acts 2:38) then repentance is the other side of believing. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" is what Christ said.

When someone actually puts HIS THUMB DOWN on the true Gospel, look out. Another Herbert W. Armstrong is getting ready to make war with the saints!

But there is no question that along the way the literal future Kingdom of God on earth under Christ must also be proclaimed along with the Gospel of Your Salvation.

Thanks Nehemiah6 for mentioning the gospel. I do not know anything about the first part of your post in reference to a public figure. What I would like to respond to, instead, is your realization that the gospel is one gospel. I agree that the gospel is one gospel and I enjoyed that part of your statement very much. It seems like to me that the Bible is just emphasizing various aspects of the one gospel. I have noticed this same sort of pattern in the Bible's treatment of other phenomenon, for example: salvation. For example, concerning salvation, one verse might say that belief is necessary. Another verse might say that baptism is necessary. Another verse might say that being forgiven is necessary. Another verse might say that the Holy Spirit is necessary. Another that confession is necessary, and faith, and so forth. Then a group of humans will read one verse or two that emphasize one part of the thing and just dwell on that as one of the only things necessary. Really, to me, it just seems like salvation is just one ball of wax that happens pretty much all together at the same time. Similarly, the gospel, to me, seems like one gospel that has a number of ways of describing it.

Amen! Repentance and believing/faith are two sides to the same coin.

Matthew 21:32 - For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

Mark 1:15 - And saying: The time is accomplished, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent and believe the gospel.

Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 11:17 - if therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?” 18 When they heard these things, they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance unto life.”

Acts 20:21 - testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The true gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

The true gospel is being preached today by genuine Christians/believers.
A false gospel is being preached today by "nominal-pseudo" Christians/make believers.

Unfortunately, NO. A good example of the gospel being preached can be found in Acts 8 in the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch. Read the account carefully. In it you'll see, Jesus preached, verbal confession of belief by the eunuch, the need for baptism, and finally, the baptism (water immersion) of the eunuch by Philip. Is this what's being preached by the majority of so-called Christian organizations as the means of saving souls? NO.

The gospel is found in John 3 in its simplist form.

John 3: 10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man [b]who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [c]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

notice. No water baptism. No works. Just looking to Jesus. the author and finisher of our faith.

John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
