Saying 30 -- Who knows what calamities they can bring?
21 Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with rebellious officials, 22 for those two will send sudden destruction on them, and who knows what calamities they can bring?
Who knows what calamities they can bring? Think about that, maybe you can think of some terrible calamities but surely you can think that the king can think of things you never even thought of. Now if that is true of the king, how about the Lord? Read the Old Testament and the Lord toyed with evil men regardless of what they tried. Read the book of Revelation. The amount and variety of sudden destruction is astounding. Right now we have rebellious officials involved in voter fraud, they don’t fear the Lord. But let’s consider that for a moment. Trump instituted the “space force” which is in charge of monitoring all communications worldwide that travel via satellite. He had access to the NSA which is able to monitor all communications via computer and phone. Also, Trump put in place very strict regulations concerning anyone involved in election fraud. You might think “hey, if he was going to do anything he would have already done it”. That is reasonable except for one thing, after January 20th anyone involved in rebellion would be emboldened. It will be easier to piece together everyone that is guilty and the extent of their involvement. You can also monitor all financial transactions, who is paying who and for what. All I am saying is this word “who knows what calamities they can bring” is a very scary thing when talking about the President of the US and who is he compared to the Lord?

A. Decline of Judah; fall of Jerusalem; Daniel taken captive to Babylon; his decision to be true to God, Chapter 1
Jerusalem fell in 70AD, the Jews were scattered all over the earth. I consider the current version of Babylon to be the US and it was at the time of the Mayflower that genuine believers were brought to Babylon (US).
B. Dream of Nebuchadnezzar about a multimetallic image; interpretation by Daniel concerning the four kingdoms of “the times of the Gentiles,” Chapter 2
This dream is of "one world government". We don't really see this until 1920 with the league of nations. Many have tried to relate one world government to the Roman Empire and without a doubt we can see influences from the Roman Empire, Greek Empire, even Babylonian empire. But this vision, this dream, really took shape after 1920.
C. Decree of Nebuchadnezzar to enforce universal idolatry; three Hebrews cast into the furnace for refusal to bow to image of gold, Chapter 3
What happens immediately after the league of nations is formed is that we have the great depression. It was the worship of idols that led to WW2, gold was paid to Germany to build up their army as a protection against communism. It was also during this time that the Jews were thrown into "the furnace of fire", the "holocaust" which refers to a burnt offering. Many have assumed that they depict the tribulation saints and that is because WW2 was like the tribulation, a seven year war with a genocide of those who worship God and it ends with the nuclear bomb.
D. Dream of Nebuchadnezzar about a great tree hewn down to a stump; fulfilled in subsequent period of madness of the king, Chapter 4
Many expositors say that Nebuchadnezzar is a type of the Antichrist and this dream is about that. I don't disagree but I also think this has to do with the US. After WW2 the US was the preeminent power on earth, they were the golden head. The world's gold was sent to the US to buy weapons to fight WW2. After the war the US had the gold reserves and created the world's reserve currency backed by gold. That is the golden head. Initially the US was a great Christian nation, known for our charitable giving. We helped Europe rebuild and we helped Japan rebuild. We were the envy of the world. Then you had the downfall. The US got off the reserve currency and moved to a fiat currency. They shipped their manufacturing abroad. Their education system that was the standard for the world soon became the butt of jokes around the world. They became proud and arrogant, having never lost a war. Soon all the wars were being lost. Vietnam began the downfall and Afghanistan exposed how far the US had fallen. We became like a beast of the field eating grass. Cities like Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, San Francisco and Oakland all began to look like overgrown jungles. The US appeared to be run by madmen.
E. Downfall of Babylon foretold by Daniel as he read the handwriting on the wall at the feast of Belshazzar, Chapter 5
The downfall of Babylon takes place overnight, similar to what we see in Revelation 18 with Babylon being destroyed in one hour. This is where we are at right now. Joe Biden would be our modern day Belshazzar and the description in chapter 5 of a profligate government that is utterly corrupt is what we see today in the US.
F. Decree of Darius, the Median, to enforce worship of himself; Daniel cast into den of lions for praying to the God of heaven, Chapter 6
This would then be a prophecy of the "harpazo" being snatched out of certain destruction (Daniel is lifted up out of the Lion's den).

The conclusion
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
Luke 15 & 16 have parables that are unique to the book of Luke. The parable of the lost sheep, the woman and the lost coin, the prodigal son, and the unjust steward. This is the conclusion to those accounts! This gives a whole new viewpoint on these stories.
If the shepherd does not go and find the lost sheep then he is unrighteous and unfaithful shepherd. If the woman does not sweep the house to find that lost coin she is unjust and unfaithful. If the father is not praying and seeking for the prodigal son then he is unjust and unfaithful, and if the steward doesn't figure out a way to sell his master's goods then he is unjust and unfaithful. This is a warning to the believers, if you are unjust or unfaithful you won't be raptured prior to the tribulation. It is pointless to say this in Mark, they can see why they weren't raptured, they were not faithful with the unrighteous mammon, hence the Lord did not entrust them with the true riches.
If you have been entrusted with 100 sheep to care for then you better care for them. When I was a teacher I would be held to account, not for the kids getting 90s or 100s, but I had to make an account for every kid failing the class. They wanted to see what actions I had taken to help that particular kid. Had I been calling the child's parents to let them know? Did I make accommodations, did I allow this child to make up missing work, retake tests, etc.
What about that missing teaching, like a gold coin? What about the rapture, everyone misplaced that one, let's find out what that is all about. Did you shrug that off or did you sweep the house?
Can you imagine the father would be judged for losing the prodigal son? Based on the context that is what is meant when he says "32 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found."
Everything about this story makes it seem that the Father is a good guy and the prodigal son is profligate. But the context and this conclusion tells us that the children have been entrusted to you by God, if you lose a son or a daughter will anyone entrust true riches to you?
Then you have the unrighteous steward. We need to get this message out, we need to get this word out. It does no good if it sits on the shelf. If you need to put it on sale do so!

The Dead in Christ rise first
After looking at the 9th of Av discussion I realized this verse may have another meaning. Although I still think our general understanding of this meaning the dead in the graves will rise up first at the time of the rapture, I also think there could be a second meaning to this as well.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Believers need to planted together in the likeness of His death before we can also be in the likeness of His resurrection. Those who are living a life with the old man crucified with Him and who are not serving sin, they will be the ones to rise in the first rapture.
What do you think it means to be left behind? It means you are not in the likeness of His death, you haven't put the old man to death, you are serving sin.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
You need to humble yourself to become obedient to the death of the cross. It is a shameful death.
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
The "dead in Christ" are those who have been made conformable to the Lord's death.
What hit me was that this curse on the 9th of Av was on those who were rebellious, the ones who were faithless, the ones who were idolatrous. That is the reason that we have the curse. But you have those who are obedient, each year they dig a grave and sleep in it. Their bodies were not strewn about the wilderness. Then after 38 years of this training we see them sleep in the graves for one whole week. They are conformed to the death of Christ. They are abiding in the crucified Christ.
Then in the 15th of Av they awake and realize that the curse is over. That is all part of the 9th of Av. You have the curse for unbelief, you have the testing of 40 years, and then you have the end of the curse on a day of rejoicing.
Jesus said that when the rapture comes they will be eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. We realized that would fit the feast of Pentecost, the feast of New wine, because they would be eating and drinking on that day. We thought that would be the 8th of Av. But even though you can get married on the 8th of Av I doubt it is a very popular day for marriage. The 9th of Av is supposed to be a day of mourning. Who wants to begin a honeymoon with a day of mourning? However, the 15th of Av is the most popular day for a wedding.
The church age is supposed to be our period of mourning.
Luke 6:25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
Jesus was asked why the disciples don't fast and He said that when the Bridegroom is taken from them then they would fast. Jesus was taken from us on Passover, that should have begun our period of fasting and mourning.
Luke 5:34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
The rapture should not be followed by mourning, on the contrary the mourning because we are being conformed to the Lord's death should be followed by the rapture.
Therefore I would let people know this 9th of Av is not over until the 15th of Av. It is a big event, the Lord, or the temple is taken away from us at the beginning of the week because of sin, and at the end of the week the dead in Christ rise first.

The Full Moon Prophecy
He makes a case that the sixth seal will be opened on a full moon. I am in agreement with him.
This is significant because many of us think that the opening of the sixth seal is the rapture before the tribulation begins.
[I would also point out that there have been a number of prophecies of giant tidal waves hitting the US and that there is a Biblical basis to say that the Great Babylon (the US) will be destroyed by tidal waves (Jeremiah 50-51) or will sink beneath the sea (Matthew 18 and Revelation 18). We also know that Russia has a poseidon torpedo which is designed to use a nuclear explosion to set off a tidal wave 500 feet high. I bring this up because the difference between high tide on a Full Moon and low tide on the 9th of Av is about 10 feet. If you wanted to make a destructive tidal wave why would you do it on a low tide instead of timing this for a high tide on a Full Moon?]
Also I would point out that there is one very interesting interpretation of the seven seals. In this interpretation Jesus, the lamb of God who was just recently slain, opens the seals. Not prior to the tribulation but right after being crucified and then resurrected. Yes, the church, the lampstand is in heaven with Him, but Paul told us these mysteries were opened and the church was in heaven with Jesus in the book of Ephesians.
Then at the start of the tribulation we have the Antichrist, the counterfeit Christ, with the false prophets, opening a counterfeit seven seals. Many have interpreted the first seal as referring to the gospel or referring to the AntiChrist. In this interpretation it is both. Also many have referred to "the great delusion" as the UFO story for the rapture, but in this interpretation it is much bigger than that. Includes false prophets, changing the laws, writing a new Bible with AI, and a false gospel which is not another gospel but a perversion of the gospel.

I am now telling this to the church
In Matthew 17 Jesus says that He will build His church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it indicating a spiritual warfare that is going on. In Matthew 18 the Lord gives us a master class on spiritual warfare.
Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
If we are in a warfare offenses will come. We talk about this as "friendly fire". Here we have two brothers but one is offended by another. We are not talking about trivial matters having to do with earthly things like money, Paul asked the Corinthians why they would sue another brother and why not simply suffer wrong. These are not issues you would go to a civil court with a worldly judge over. These are two brothers engaged in spiritual warfare, one is a victim of friendly fire and so you are to talk to the offending brother. Just the two of you.
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
It is quite stunning to me that you have a brother who has wronged another brother but refuses to hear you about that. But it is quite common and I am about to share an example of this.
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
And this is where we are right now and why I am posting this. I have posted many links to Pastor Sandy Armstrong's messages on this blog and I have also posted many links to Dr. Barry Awe's messages on this blog. Every link I shared I listed to from beginning to end. So in that sense I have given my seal of approval on these messages.
Then a few months ago Pastor Sandy Armstrong began to accuse Dr. Barry Awe of being a false teacher or perhaps of embracing a false doctrine of "once saved always saved". Armstrong equates Calvinism with Freemasons and the influence of Satanists on the Evangelical community. He also believes that he is commissioned to expose Freemasons and false prophets and false pastors in his ministry.
I have no issue with him doing this if he presents the evidence, which in most cases he did. However, he made some very serious accusations against Dr. Barry Awe. Since I post links from Dr. Barry Awe I wanted the evidence for that. He also asked that if anyone could get in touch with Dr. Barry Awe to send him a message he shared accusing Dr. Barry of being a false teacher. I had the email of someone who could get in touch with him and who, like myself, would be equally concerned about this accusation. As a result I began a three way communication between Pastor Sandy Armstrong and this other person who knew how to contact Dr. Barry Awe.
In the first email Pastor Sandy accused me of embracing FreeMasons and their teachings. I pointed out that I had never once referenced any of the people he mentioned, never shared their links, and never heard Dr. Barry reference them, so that is not relevant to my request. I had requested evidence to support the accusation he made against Dr. Barry Awe. I pointed out that I was making this request according to Matthew 18 and not according to the defense of any Freemasons. (As to my doctrinal understanding concerning "Once saved always saved" I'll have to address that in a post that follows as that is not a simple topic).
In his second email he accused me of trying to get him to be quiet about the Freemason pastors and false prophets. I pointed out that made no sense since Matthew 18 does not tell you to be quiet, rather it tells you the proper procedure to follow. Based on that procedure he should have had contact with Dr. Barry and should have evidence for his claim, either a video to watch or an email. Personally I had heard Dr. Barry's salvation testimony which I believe he gave in response to these accusations. I have heard him talk quite a bit about salvation and do not detect a Freemason influence.

So then what does it mean to that he is to be a "heathen or publican"? I don't go around slandering or attacking heathens or publicans. Neither do I post their videos on a blog that is focused on the Bible. We are in a spiritual warfare and it is crucial to be balanced.
We have the shield of faith. The way I use the shield of faith is to put up the Bible verses first, as a shield. Then when I speak like I am doing now, I hide behind that shield. I am not attacking Sandy Armstrong, I am being faithful to the Lord's word in Matthew 18. If you have a problem with this, take it up with Jesus. This is what it means to have your head covered. I am posting this update because the Lord says to "tell it to the church" or "tell it to the assembly of the called out ones". Don't go beyond what the scripture says and no one will be able to take a shot at you.
I have heard many "watchmen" complain mention that they receive a lot of pushback on their messages. But ask yourself, how much of that pushback was because you went beyond what the Bible said?
In Matthew 17 Jesus says that He will build His church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it indicating a spiritual warfare that is going on. In Matthew 18 the Lord gives us a master class on spiritual warfare.
Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
If we are in a warfare offenses will come. We talk about this as "friendly fire". Here we have two brothers but one is offended by another. We are not talking about trivial matters having to do with earthly things like money, Paul asked the Corinthians why they would sue another brother and why not simply suffer wrong. These are not issues you would go to a civil court with a worldly judge over. These are two brothers engaged in spiritual warfare, one is a victim of friendly fire and so you are to talk to the offending brother. Just the two of you.
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
It is quite stunning to me that you have a brother who has wronged another brother but refuses to hear you about that. But it is quite common and I am about to share an example of this.
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
And this is where we are right now and why I am posting this. I have posted many links to Pastor Sandy Armstrong's messages on this blog and I have also posted many links to Dr. Barry Awe's messages on this blog. Every link I shared I listed to from beginning to end. So in that sense I have given my seal of approval on these messages.
Then a few months ago Pastor Sandy Armstrong began to accuse Dr. Barry Awe of being a false teacher or perhaps of embracing a false doctrine of "once saved always saved". Armstrong equates Calvinism with Freemasons and the influence of Satanists on the Evangelical community. He also believes that he is commissioned to expose Freemasons and false prophets and false pastors in his ministry.
I have no issue with him doing this if he presents the evidence, which in most cases he did. However, he made some very serious accusations against Dr. Barry Awe. Since I post links from Dr. Barry Awe I wanted the evidence for that. He also asked that if anyone could get in touch with Dr. Barry Awe to send him a message he shared accusing Dr. Barry of being a false teacher. I had the email of someone who could get in touch with him and who, like myself, would be equally concerned about this accusation. As a result I began a three way communication between Pastor Sandy Armstrong and this other person who knew how to contact Dr. Barry Awe.
In the first email Pastor Sandy accused me of embracing FreeMasons and their teachings. I pointed out that I had never once referenced any of the people he mentioned, never shared their links, and never heard Dr. Barry reference them, so that is not relevant to my request. My thoughts about salvation
I believe it is possible to have the full assurance concerning salvation.

I also believe it is possible for a Christian to fall short of the promised rest.
Hebrews 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
I believe that many believers will be cast into outer darkness

I believe there are Christians that do not wear a wedding garment, that signifies the "righteousnesses" of the saints. This is different from being washed by the blood of Jesus and forgiven of our sins. We need to have experiences where we obey the Lord even if it means putting to death our natural man.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I believe there are Christians who call Jesus Lord, they know He is coming again, and yet they beat their fellow servants, calling them false prophets and mocking and ridiculing them.
Matthew 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I believe we need to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
I believe the gospel shows us the way of salvation
Acts 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
I believe the gospel is the power unto salvation for everyone that believes.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
I believe that salvation is a two step process, you must believe in your heart in order to be right with God and you must confess with your mouth in order to be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I believe that every time we believe a word from the Bible we receive the sealing of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
That is like a coat of shellac that will help protect us from unbelief. However, most people who do finish carpentry will tell you they would never just put down one coat and think the furniture is sealed. You put down a coat, then you sand it down. After that you put down another coat and again sand it down. This is our experience, we believe in a word and then we get tested on that word, then we believe on another word, get tested, and this process goes on and on and until you have a beautiful piece of furniture. You can put five coats of lacquer on a piece of fine furniture. After each coat you sand it with a finer sandpaper and can finish up with a polish.
1Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
This is a great summary of what I believe concerning salvation. If you have believed on the Lord and been washed in His blood I believe you have been appointed to obtain salvation. But you have to do your part. This would be like a girl who is engaged to get married. That is a legally binding contract as long as she does her part. Obviously there are things that this girl could do that would change that so that she is appointed to wrath instead. All you have to do is read the Old Testament to realize God is able to break that marriage contract just like Moses broke the ten commandments.
2Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Again, I think we have been chosen to salvation and this salvation is through a process of sanctification of the Spirit (like I described with the Spirit sealing us similar to putting one coat after another of lacquer on us). We are also sanctified by the truth. It is important to see they are two things. The truth is the word of God, it is the expression of the word of God. But the Spirit can also work through hymns, worship, prayers, fellowship, etc.
2Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
You have to mix the word of God with faith. Simply studying the word like a theologian may not result in salvation, and simply being so spiritual and filled with faith yet devoid of the word of God will also not result in salvation.
1Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Accordingly, I believe that when you receive the word of God by faith it goes into your spirit. However, if you are immersed into the word of God on a daily basis it will spread into your soul. That is how you can receive the salvation of your soul as well as your spirit.

Jesus ministry began in this way:
1. He was baptized and the Spirit descended bodily on Him as a dove.
I believe this is when the fallen angels are kicked out of heaven to earth at the time of the rapture. The "restrainer" stepping aside is this Spirit taking the spirit filled believers to heaven in the rapture. It is also when the Antichrist gets baptized.
2. Then he is thrust into the wilderness to fast and pray for 40 days. However, unlike Jesus the Antichrist will completely embrace Satans temptations.
3. Then he goes into the synagogue on Feast of Trumpets which was also the day of atonement as it was a year of jubilee and declares the jubilee.
I think this is where the Antichrist proclaims Peace and security.
Now I believe that we can see 42 days here but that doesn't mean it can't be longer. Jesus appeared 40 times to the disciples before His ascension but I believe that was on the day after seven complete sabbaths, so not 40 days after his resurrection. In the same way I think it may be about 50 days from the rapture event to the start of the 70th week. Jesus was gone for a week after the resurrection before being seen a second time, I think Antichrist will experience a week of darkness after the rapture before starting that 40 days of fasting and prayer.
50 days from the 15th of Av takes us to the 19th of September. That is the day that Agenda 2030 it supposed to be confirmed at the UN.

Ephraim here represents the ten tribes, what we generally consider “Organized Christianity”. They have been trained to keep the law (trained to use the yoke of the law) but they love to thresh instead. According to the law you don’t muzzle the ox as it threshes the corn, so organized religion gets to eat as they thresh, hence they love to thresh. Organized religion has turned into a big, beautiful, worldwide organization. So God is going to humble them, they will be forced not simply to “plow” but to be driven by a hard task master. Judah will have a slightly easier job of plowing even though not as intensely as being driven.
12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
When we get involved in ministry we discover we have unplowed ground. Seeking the Lord involves breaking up this unplowed ground so that seeds can germinate and grow. The rain is like a blessing, a shower of righteousness. When we are right with the Lord we are seeking Him, breaking up the unplowed ground of our heart and we will receive a blessing from God. We are right with God and man.
13 But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors, 14 the roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your fortresses will be devastated—as Shalman devastated Beth Arbel on the day of battle, when mothers were dashed to the ground with their children.
What the church is supposed to do and what they have done are two completely different things, though they are comparable. They have a ministry, they plant seeds, but they are seeds of wickedness. They depend on their own strength. You could have the best teaching in the world but if you are depending on financial backers, hiring experts in all kinds of areas to promote and distribute your ministry, but it is all based on your own strength. Then you are not walking by faith. It is as though you have hired soldiers from the world to fight your spiritual battles. You will be dashed to pieces. The fire will test each man’s work whether it is wood, hay and stubble or if it is gold and precious stones from God.
15 So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great.
Bethel means house of God. The church is being warned that if they are not walking by faith, obedient to the Lord then when He returns they will suffer loss.
When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

The Lord is telling us that many of those who lead us mislead us. That there are many hypocrites in organized religion and when the Day of the Lord comes they will be completely destroyed. "When the day dawns" refers to the first rapture. Many in the church will be sleeping and not watching when He comes, so it is like "day dawns". The first rapture will wake them up.

No one likes to be stopped by the police, no one likes to get a ticket, no one likes to get arrested and go to jail.
