You already said there is no third person of the trinity (Holy Spirit). In your opinion the Holy Spirit is merely "God's power." There ya go. That's enough to make you a trinity denier. If you believe in the trinity, please explain your understanding of what it is. Don't be vague, be specific.

I said:

Let me ask you something. Do you believe the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct person, or is He merely "God's power?"
You replied:

I believe that The Holy Spirit is GOD's Power.
You had another exchange with Nehemiah6. He said:

The Holy Spirit is a DISTINCT divine person, who certainly manifests the power of God. But He is not merely "God's power". How do you lie to a mere inanimate power? But Ananias and Sapphira lied to God (a person). But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? (Acts 5:3)
You replied:

You are saying this because of your belief, and I said what I believe.
A little further along, Nehemiah6 said to you:

Of course God the Father is a Spirit (with a Spirit body). But God the Holy Spirit is also Spirit -- without any body. They are two distinct divine persons. I have shown in other posts that the Father is presented as having a Spirit body in several passages. But that does not limit the Father in any way. Neither are we supposed to "explain" these mysteries.
To which you replied:

Yes, I'm aware, but I will try to change your belief.

Any of this jog your memory? If you think I'm misrepresenting you then by all means correct the record. Just state plainly your understanding of the trinity.

This is what you should be discussing.
You have the floor. You want to clear up any misunderstandings about where you stand on the trinity? Here's your golden opportunity. But you won't; and it's not hard to figure out why.

I found that Christians would have to search the scriptures for themselves because there is only one true doctrine.
Yes, Precious friend Walter, Very True. I believe I have done my due diligence, and
the original list still increases the More I search:

160 Scriptural Reasons The LORD Jesus Christ Is Almighty God!

Amen.
Hello Grace_ambassador, I do not see any other scripture besides When Jesus said Himself that GOD Is A SPIRIT.
Precious Walter, you do realize of course that "trying to build 'Sound Doctrine' with
only one lone verse" of Scripture would violate God's Bible Rules of study, yes?:
i.e.:

(5) Build Sound Doctrine, God’s Way! :

(5a) “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little!”
(
Isaiah 28:10 KJB!)
(5b) Find ALL Related Scriptures For A Specific doctrine! :

ALL Scripture Is Given By Inspiration Of God, And Is
Profitable For Doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness : that the man of God may
be perfect, throughly furnished unto ALL good works!”
(
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB!)
(5c) Compare ALL Related Scriptures to learn and know a
Specific doctrine! :

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s
wisdom teacheth, but Which The Holy Ghost Teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual!”
(
1 Corinthians 2:13 KJB!)
{Comparing Scripture With Scripture!}
Simplicity” in CHRIST! (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJB!) Amen?

+

(6) The Best "Interpretive" Commentary On The Bible Is :
The BIBLE Itself!

NEVER ever interpret The Many Plain Scriptures
by the "few" difficult verses, But, ALWAYS Always
Interpret
the few Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses
By ALL Of The MANY Plain and Clear Passages Of
God’s Pure And Holy Word!

Amen.

I didn't ask for the dictionary definition but your definition. I know you're not going to answer; you're going to weasel out of it like you do every time when confronted with direct questions. But you've already said enough to make it obvious where you stand. Your refusal to clarify your position says all that needs to be said.

Hi, Grace_ambassador I see, But why is it that it is clear to me and others in John 4:24 why He made that statement that GOD is a Spirit? but I do realize that sometimes it is hard to answer a question with a question.

You're a trinity denier; that's what I've been saying all along. Yes, "some Christians" believe in the trinity, including the Administrator of this forum. Denying the trinity is considered heresy here and can get you banned.

Since this thread is about Jehovah's Witnesses (and by extension other cults) the two key questions to distinguish cultists from genuine Christians are: (1) Do you believe that Jesus of Nazareth is fully God? and (2) do you believe in the Holy Trinity without any reservations?

It then follows that there will be a whole raft of false doctrines taught by these false teachers because they have rejected the truth abut God and Christ. Indeed the apostle John says that those who do not have the doctrine of Christ are ANTICHRISTS and should not even be bidden Godspeed.

Now when it comes to the Mormon cult, it is a bit more subtle. They do not outright deny those truths but they twist and pervert them. They have "another Jesus" and "another God the Father".

No problem, Precious friend, as Controversy usually leads to The Truth. So, let's
research this way: Why Did Jesus Say?:

Joh_1:18 "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten SON,
Which is in the bosom of The Father, He Hath Declared Him."
+
Joh_4:24 "God is a Spirit: and they that Worship Him must worship
Him in spirit and In Truth."
Now, if "The Father" is the only Person of The 'GodHead' then there is no problem
at all - these two lone verses would teach the 'doctrine' you are proposing to us,
Correct?

However, Since The Totality of Scriptures Teach One Triune GodHead, Then
we need to keep searching For The Truthful Bible Answer, Else we Cannot:

"worship Him In spirit, AND 'In TRUTH!' Correct?

Bible Answer?:

First, come to God, On His Terms: 'Grace Through faith' - see God's Simple Will!

Then, after Receiving The Third Person of The Triune GodHead, The Holy Spirit,
and He Baptizes
you Into The Body Of Christ, And 'Becomes your Blessed Teacher'
( Rule 5c of ) Bible study rules!:

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s
wisdom teacheth, but Which The Holy Ghost Teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual!”
(1 Corinthians 2:13 KJB!)

Then With His Precious Help 'Comparing Scripture With Scripture!' you will
understand All 160 Passages, like these few, Without any Contradictions!:

Joh 6:46 "Not that any man hath seen The Father, save
He which is of God, He hath seen The Father."
+
Abraham Must have 'seen God, The SON' Correct?:

Gen 18:1 "And The LORD Appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre:..."
Confirmed By "the end of the above story about Abraham/Sodom and Gomorrah":

Gen 19:24 "Then The LORD [ God, The SON ] rained upon Sodom and upon
Gomorrah brimstone and fire from The LORD [ God, The Father ] out of heaven;"
+
The Third Person? A 'power' only? [ side note: the "electric power lines" taught
me Very Well not to "mess with them" but ] that is Totally Different From God,
The 'Teacher With A Personality,' Who Is The Blessed Holy Spirit, Who can be
"lied to and destroy people" (Acts 5:1-11), Correct?

Finally, Scripturally 'Confirmed' By:

1Jn 5:7 "For There Are Three That Bear Record in heaven, The Father,
The WORD, and The Holy Ghost: and These Three Are One."
Precious friend, Walter, praying and hoping you and Debbie will, as God Wills:

"Who will have all men to be Saved, and to come Unto
The Knowledge Of [ All ] The TRUTH." (1 Timothy 2:4)

Amen.

Yes, I'm aware, but I will try to change your belief
Walter, you have been trying to change the beliefs of Bible-believing Christians by introducing all kinds of strange notions on this forum, and flooding it with your posts. So the very least you can do now is clearly state what you believe.

Nehemiah, I'm sorry Sir, that was supposed to read:

We once owned one,

Yes, I'm aware, but I will not try to change your belief.
