Yeah, the change takes away all context for WHY she was courageous.
I think Florida is being sooo careful of CRT that they're becoming ridiculous.
Okay but they're leaving out the part where black people weren't allowed to sit in front of the bus because of racism so they're just making her look like a Karen who didn't want to move on the bus

I question it because I know that liberal reporting really struggle to give a truthful analysis of a story …not just on this ….but on everything. If it is something that goes against their left-wing agenda ….and they can’t find a biased slant …they just don’t report it.

But if it is something that can paint a conservative or the right-wing in a bad light, even though it is not the full story ….they will run with it…. because it’s not in the story it’s in the accusation ….the truth be danged. ……That is what they did with this deal on Rosa Parks. Are the headlines accurate …Yes….. is it the full truth of the story ….NO.

Exactly.
I agree with you that this is wrong. Without the context of skin color, her story just sounds like a Karen. Like, why would kids care about this history unless they knew the backstory of how black people were treated? This is throwing out history just to try to avoid CRT and it's completely ridiculous and wrong. 1984 coming to life in front of our eyes.

i saw that Snopes article a few days ago. did you happen to see the date on it? :D
the CNN piece was also from March of '23. makes you wonder what all the brouhaha is about now.

and in typical Snopes fashion, they say it was the publisher's misunderstanding, and it has been corrected, but it ALMOST happened! lol

This is also part of Florida school curriculum now. They're talking about the "benefits" of slavery

From the desk of Desantis, so to speak...

https://www.flgov.com/2021/12/15/go...ical-race-theory-in-schools-and-corporations/

Here are the things he is trying to avoid;

A Philadelphia elementary school forced fifth-graders to celebrate “Black communism” and simulated a Black Power rally to “free Angela Davis” from prison. At this school, 87 percent of students will fail to achieve basic literacy by graduation.

Seattle Public Schools told teachers that the education system is guilty of “spirit murder” against black children and that white teachers must “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgement of [their] thieved inheritance.”

San Diego Public Schools accused white teachers of being colonizers on stolen Native American land and told them “you are racist” and “you are upholding racist ideas, structures, and policies.” They recommended that the teachers undergo “antiracist therapy.”

An elementary school in Cupertino, California forced third-graders to deconstruct their racial identities, then rank themselves according to their “power and privilege.”

A middle school in Springfield, Missouri, forced teachers to locate themselves on an “oppression matrix,” claiming that white heterosexual Protestant males are inherently oppressors and must atone for their “covert white supremacy.”

Buffalo Public Schools taught students that “all white people” perpetuate systemic racism and forced kindergarteners to watch a video of dead black children warning them about “racist police and state-sanctioned violence” who might kill them at any time.

The Arizona Department of Education created an “equity” toolkit claiming that babies show the first signs of racism at three months old and that white children become ”strongly biased in favor of whiteness” by age five.

This is what he is trying to avoid being taught in schools. It may need some fine tuning, but I do understand why he is doing what he's doing.

Okay we can keep Angela Davis in prison but let's also criminally prosecuted every person who trespassed on the capital on January 6th

Sorry to break the news to you but the Capitol is public property and it was also open to the public for a public ceremony on Jan 6th.

And everyone during the summer of love, with the same sentences. I think you do agree there.

There's been a concerted effort to derail DeSantis' prospects for Presidential candidacy. Hence all of these hit pieces.

In other news, the Earth rotated.

No they didn't , the ones who told you that are just brainwashed with their own hate of the rightwingers, they went there to protest a rigged election or else they were curious onlookers.

I disagree to this too I was also at the Summer of Love just like I was at Jan 6th. The two events are actually very similar. Both are rightful protests, the triggers to the protests, the brutality done unto George Floyd and black American citizens by the police and the rigging of the 2020 elections (and especially the egregious way the Justice Department act like total godless Soviets, no better than Wicked Russia in taking political prisoners for the first time in US history) are heinous acts that are worthy of protest. Both events were large scale, both events had tens of thousands of people and the vast majority of the people at both events were largely peaceful I certify, and indeed there were of course some small groups of super activists doing petty crimes at both events like vandalism and theft, but by and large what the media and the biased pundits who were not there say about both these events are bullshit to put it mildly that they made up for their own hatred of eachother, I certify as an eye witness to both, PRAISE JESUS!

No evidence that the election was rigged. You're just drinking the right wing kool-aid.
There's a reason why the proud boys guy got 18 years for sedition
Because it was literally sedition
Also, it's kind of funny how the proud boys hate gay people but have the gayest sounding name ever

Ummm, it is the centrist kool aid

https://rumble.com/v329xuo-mark-mit...mation-on-how-many-americans-believe-bid.html

Rasmussen poll

62% of voters think it is likely that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 election.

65% of voters think it is likely that cheating is going to affect the outcome of the 2024 election.

Only Left Wing kool aid drinkers think there is no evidence of election fraud in 2020.
