LGTBQ and trans kids should be confident that they are fully protected by the law. And they are. There is no rights violations crisis in that regard, nor is their any persecution that is evident. Personally, I have nothing but Christian love for all peoples races tongues and nations and that certainly includes trans and LGBTQ people.
Having said that, it is obvious that the problem lies with sex education in schools. This is where the friction and controversy has reached a flash-point. IMO, there should be NO SEX ED whatsoever in public schools. This task should be left to the parents. Problem solved.
But as always, the political actors CREATED yet another crisis to divide (and conquer) the citizenry. The plan is to diminish, dilute and destroy rights and freedoms with yet even more draconian laws.
Pretty much another See-Eye-Aye psy-op more or less. They are relentless.
The fact that this movie seems to be getting so much praise from right-wing conspiracy theorists and Christian nationalists should give any thinking person pause.

We don't agree a lot, but if I can render you speechless I've done my job. Joking. I don't think most people will look much deeper than the topic of the movie. We have wide open borders that welcomes this evil. Great to do a movie on it, but what can the average person who watches the movie do?! Not much.

Where Mel Gibson is not exactly Saint or lives a lifestyle that anyone should completely copy...the man makes an effort. He isn't perfect by a long shot...but Mel is trying after finding out how empty a hedonistic lifestyle is. However he is constantly paying for his earlier choices in life.
Mel Gibson movies of course embellish the truth with dramatic flair. That's just "poetic license " at work....the movie is intended to inform and be watchable and entertaining without being too preachey.
I'd dare say that the core elements of the movie are true...
