Any suggestions on good scriptures to help me get worrie and stress off my shoulders and just have some peacefulness
If you'll notice in the verses I shared you will see that what we focus on is important. As a Christian, you now possess the mind of Christ and we are called to renew our minds. The easiest way for me to do that is to start a conversation with God when I wake up and just keep it going until I fall asleep.

Many of us worry and are stressed at certain times for certain reasons. Not all of it has to do with Sin or mistrust. It can just be that some things in life are extremely Stressful. Im losing my mind right now, but I know Im in the will of God. But Im going to pray for you right now. Some times that is what does it. telling some, sharing your burden. I think I have room for another one. So...."Father In Jesus Name, give rest and peace to this Child of yours or Grace and Strength if it is your will......In Jesus Name. and everybody said.....

There's a couple different types of ruminating. Taking worry hostage and not letting it fill your brain rent free.

That's when I usually find something else to do and focus on. There's usually plenty of chores to do. And then there's bread to make, cookies to bake, or whatever.
Landscaping/gardening will usually take some focus and leave you exhausted enough to take a nap afterwards. Sewing and knitting works too.
Jigsaw Puzzles are also fun.

Wife and I got all kinds of things like this to do and if you got too much worry you ain't got enough motion in your day. Exercise by being productive is usually the best cure for these things.

Hmm... When you get a cancer diagnosis, lemme know how that motion thing works out for you.

Shoot, even an appointment to get a wisdom tooth extracted makes too much worry for that motion stuff to drown it out. :P (Guess who has an appointment August 2nd at 9am...)

For what it may be worth:

The words are simple and the meaning is clear. It serves as a reminder of Who is in control and "looking out for us" - so that we "need not worry"...

Matthew 6:25-34

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

I like the Psalms app that the other poster posted. Listening to the Psalms while lying in bed ought to bring comfort to your soul and help you to fall asleep peacefully. I listen to the Psalms often myself while lying in bed. I also sometimes listen to instrumental Christian music while lying in bed. That helps to soothe my soul as well.

Amen

An attitude of gratitude for what God has provided is a good focus during our losses.

Having friends to talk to and fellowship with also definitely helps, but, for some unknown reason, that has never really been the case with me, so I just have to find my solace in God.

Psalm 73:25-26

"Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."

yes! 1st, are you a born again Christian? that's always the 1st issue to straiten out. if you are, read Psalms 51:10,12 90:14, 55:22, 118:24, 119:165. (for starters). all christians can cast out any evil wicked negative thought in the name of Jesus Christ. as soon as you recognize yourself being worried, bring that worry to the front of your mind & forsake it. as i always say, create comedy like rhyming phrases to heal yourself. "in the name of Jesus, devil, you and all your ABOUT get OUT. "to seal the deal, i will heal"! "hurry worry, no doubt you"re out"! still, people don't realize how much the state of mind you are in effects the present & future action & reaction. smile all day in thought, speaking & action!!!!! blessings to you Rach77.

There are times that I identified with that verse too.

18:24 Comes to mind.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

The Lord is that Friend.

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
(Psalm 4:8 NIV)

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
(Proverbs 3:24 NIV)

If you get a cancer diagnosis, just stop by the Natural Health Forum and you'll be all set.
