Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

“One man esteemeth one day above another:
another esteemeth every day alike.
Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.”
Romans 14:5-6, 9
The ot sabbath is about this world and Gods work in the beginning creating it
It was meant that all would honor the seventh day and remember our creator and source of our existance one earth but we broke that covenant long ago and the earth is doomed . We have a new creation now that begins and ends with Jesus and the gospel even our rest in him is now not about honoring a day per week but honoring the day we are in resting our souls on the gospel
to rest one day per week is a good principle and to do it honoring God is even better but we find our spiritual rest in a whole different way we have a new covenant a new beginning new creation to honor
“but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
2 Peter 3:7, 13 KJV
