Lots of Christians adjust the Word of God to make it sound better to them.
Meanwhile, others think God is responsible for the installation of vicious dictators who make peoples' lives miserable.

You have to look critically at the actions of those in office.

I've seen extremely liberal ideologies enacted with conservative presidents and vice versa. Meaning not a one of them is doing what they said they were going to do when elected. The hypocrisy is over the top with all of them.
Sure, Trump was the first one in a long time that actually did as he said he was gonna but the other stuff that went along with that was over the top nuts. I knew of him long before he ran for president...and he never wavered from his identity. He has always been a pig of a man long before he hit the WH....

Financially the Republicans used to be OK....not anymore but once upon a time they were.

Morally? neither has been great....both have horrible things going on.

So....
I've washed my hands of the lot of them and just let God set up the rulers we need vx the ones we deserve.
So then I would assume that you don't vote but the question I was wondering about Is ,Is MAGA a cult?

Yes....of course. They have a leader, a set of beliefs, isolation of those not in the cult, and all the hallmarks of a cult.

That's part of the very strict definition of a cult....
Of course nobody likes it when I say Christianity is a cult...but Christianity is a beneficial cult instead of destructive or worthless like political cults.

All you ever talk about is yourself and how much power you have and how God is using you to do great and marvelous thing, etc., etc., blah, blah.

People don't want to hear it, seriously. You're making yourself look like a joke. If you had a fraction of the power you claim to have, you wouldn't feel the need to be on here proclaiming your greatness to anyone who will listen. No one here is looking for a guru. Do yourself and us a favor: put your money where your mouth is and go start working some miracles for people in the real world and leave us alone.
Actually go ahead and look at all my posts yes I do speak and testify of the things he has shown and taught me but what do I also keep saying? Does the kingdom ring a bell? do I not keep talking about working for him planting the seeds of the kingdom? You think this is about me? I am just the spark a quick small spark the ignighting fire is the desired result and for all your remarks have you even tried to see in scripture about the things I speak about?

Even the things that Jesus taught it was the same way he had the kingdom he was and had the truth but make no mistake he was a rebel in every sense of the word people who didn't understand what he was saying because of their conditioning they called him a false prophet they called attempted to kill him and throw stones at him he went against the normal flow and preached the things the father gave him speaking of himself but to testify to reveal he called himself many things he spoke many mysteries to people but not all recieved it he just kept going planting the seeds.

And look what happened? Because they didn't listen look at the history that followed it isn't as if he didn't warn everyone ahead of time it is not as if he didn't speak to everyone who would hear even if they didn't listen.

The power of God is not what you consider power

No worries, it's just a forum section that doesn't get all of the excessive debate like the Bible forum. I don't even read 99% of the Bible discussion forum for all of the heresy that I have to sift through.
I understand completely how you feel it has been a burden on me for years there is even if you didn't know a group of people who have a hidden forum that is invite only who were scared away from here who were damaged or who fell from their spark of faith.

Everywhere I go no matter what happens in my life even when I have been in the hospital I encounter such people who don't speak good of Christians even my nurse who comes for two hours twice a week was very hurt by such Christians and there are so many stories I could tell about how effective we are as followers of Christ the results aren't good.

So when we come online like this as I have said forr so many years now there is power in words the world sees us as liars judgmental hypocrites the world is like a mirror of our so called faith ect.

This is why I had enough and said to God if no one else is going to step up to the plate then use me. Can you imagine the kind of leap of faith it takes for that? he will use you if your serious but things will never be the same he shows you the path he himself sends you with a small talent a first mission test so to speak as if saying well if your serious here you go lets see what you can do.

This requires utter trust in him I knew what would come at me from the moment I knew what my first mission was but I also knew this was going to be his kingdom it is going to spark in peoples spirits I saw Christian chat when I came on here and I saw that spark and a eventually a fire started and you know when wind comes how that works with fire right?

A spiritual wind is on the horizon but we need to be the ones to say enough is enough and starting saying to him if no one else will step up to the plate send me.

Just like in Jesus time, most of the teachers were false prophets who claimed to represent the Lord. The Lord Himself rebuked them the same as His forerunner John the Baptist. I woke up a little while ago with this thought. Many people who claim to follow Christ would call Him unChristlike for the way He rebuked those Pharisees, Saducess, scribes, hypocrites. John called them harsh names too as did the OT prophets.

The wicked false prophet you quoted sounds like he was trying to get the congregation to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. Do you remember his name?
That is exactly what he was doing and no I don't but I can try to find the video again just be warned this stuff it is disturbing offensive disturbing so hopefully you have thicker skin than me:LOL:

See,
Looking at your language....
You are trying to offer me God's power as if it was yours to give. I don't desire power. I desire God...
Subtle but huge difference.
If I can be God's friend that is MORE than enough for me. And I do mean more than enough.
Just to kick back drinking something and hanging out with God? Like a dream come true.

I don't want anything from him except for the relationship....I know that it's difficult for most to understand the concept. But that friendship is sufficient for me. Anything else is extra that I'm not really after....not a "give to get" type thing whatsoever. Just to hang out....go fishing, or bake cookies or whatever. Netflix and chill day.....

You can treat God how you like...each of us is an individual. I have no delusions of my grandeur or want any for knowing Him....how is it that you can't understand that?
Firstly No I am not offering you power I am trying to get you to what he is trying to get all of us to but it isn't something I can give you I can only plant the seed and try to reason with you he is the gardener.

God's power by the way is ours to give or do you not believe?
What did Jesus say? what was all those letters in the nt talking about the kingdom who we are in Christ the authority he placed us in more than overcomers and so many more things for then?

The power of God is the kingdom and when we plant the seeds of the kingdom we spread his power not power as the human mind considers.

Amen..
So often we choose to live in the past dwelling on our hurts and pain. We can become so self absorbed we crowd God out of our space and dont even realize it. We try to fill the void wiht this and that .. TIs 'teachers' made me feel so good etc. There are creeps 'out there' looking for empty people ready to include them in their circle. As Christians we should understand Christ is to fill that void. Learned folks study the real we are blessed to have His Word. That is what we should listen to study and follow.
Here are a couple quotes that said to me this is not good. The whole of the context is up there to read...
Doing God's work does not always make sense and we have been conditioned to instinctively look for red flags first. This isn't discernemnt this is doubt faith would cause us to first search for the fruits of the spirit the essence behind the words.
Jesus said we would be like the wind the holy spirit does not oblige to mans ways or their constructs.

The spirit speaks to the spirit

Also that of yours I recommend you follow it, he often times if not almost always leaves clues hints breadcrubs to follow and there is always a reason for it.

Christianity is not a cult.

No one likes it because you are wrong.

The term cult in its original sense implies worship and the performance of religious rites.
If some groups have mangled Christianity to a system of religious rites then they have made it into a cult and it is no longer Christianity.

Yea Maybe but generally cults don't think there cults, like witchcraft in buda or any religion or religious person that uses the beliefs to curse, like say voodoo or Budda or even any religious person.

Christianity is not a cult.
Cults are never cults to people who are in them... :)

In the gospels, Jesus was thought to be a cult leader by the Pharisees, who said he was "speaking against Moses."
In Acts, Christianity was thought to be a cult, or sect, by the religious establishment of the day.
