Didn't attack the "person". Just demonstrated that his arguments imply he lacks even a basic understanding of science. I want to argue science, scripture and logic - if he wants to argue unprovable hypotheses, won't accept that God is more than able to communicate truthfully and adequately to man via scripture, and doesn't adhere to the basics of logic but rather practices ad hominem - there's no point debating, 'cause it's not a debate.
The question raised earlier by a Heliocentrist was "If Earth is flat, why do pilots not observe it?" or something similar. The point is, pilots do observe a Flat Earth, and at least 19 are not afraid to say so.
You know this is a distraction, or if not, you need to study up on scientifically legitimate methods for scaling up and scaling down an experiment.
So you can't provide a single example of gravity holding water to the underside of a spherical object. Unless you're talking at the micro-level, where molecular attractive forces come into play, which are insignificant to explain forces of attraction at the macro level (e.g. when talking about Heliocentricity and water sticking to the underside of a globe). Ergo, your belief about water sticking to the underside of the globe is not testable and repeatable, and therefore is not science.
It was valid the first time. Ignoring a valid argument the first time (resulting in someone repeating it) doesn't mean the argument was invalid.
You make a claim that is easily refuted, I will happily refute it. As you earlier claimed, one counter-example ruins your whole argument. I guess you don't really believe that.
Yawn. Science includes the application of theories to cases where direct examination is not possible.
Flat-Earthers believe that the Earth is flat, but they seem to have come to the consensus that the sun and moon are spherical objects. Some flat-Earthers think that while Earth is flat, the moon and sun are spheres. Earth's day and night cycle is explained by positing that the sun and moon are spheres that move in circles above the plane of the Earth.
Eric Dubay was one of the few people that almost seemed real and wasn't a shill. But he is probably a shill none the less.
This is a very good comment, as I have also found out in the last several years that there are way more shills out there than even I expected.
Garbage. Even surveyors at ground level have to account for the curvature of the earth. It's written in to the various codes of practice. You can demonstrate the earth's curvature very simply. You won't try it because deep down you know that you are wrong.
Get two laser theodolites. Mount them at exactly the same height either side of a lake, you know, the water that must be flat. They will need to be a km or so apart. Make them parallel to the water on either side. The beams should shine directly into the opposing theodolite. In practice (it's been tried) they will not. The curvature of the earth prevents it. Water follows the curvature of the earth. Even the definition of "level" means in relation to the curvature of the earth.
This is not from NASA or some spooky secret organisation. It is from surveyors, people who have to deal with the real world as it is, not according to the fantasy land of FE.
Given the potential for experimental error in what you describe, a better experiment would be to mount the laser theodolites at a distance whereby the curvature of the Earth would hide one laser theodolite from the other, were Earth a ball. Similar experiments have been done with lasers, and surprise, surprise, time and again, the laser can still be seen from beyond where it would be blocked by the Earth's curvature, were Earth a ball. Ergo, Earth is not a ball.
I don't think he's a shill - at least not with regards to Flat Earth. He's a new ager, though. So when the sheeple discover that Earth really is flat, they will sadly flock to people like Eric for his religious beliefs, as he understood and was correct about Earthly things. So sad that Christians couldn't simply read the bible and defend the Earth's shape based on what God told us, to be proven right when the people finally realise the truth.
Like Jesus said to Nicodemus, "You are Israel's teacher, and you don't understand these things?" Christians should at least have an understanding of the Earthly things God explains to us in His inspired, infallible word.
Haven't you ever heard about tree refraction? Tree refraction happens when someone can see the back side of a tree just by looking up into that tree; As far as I know, this only works for globe-earthers.
