Actually, I believe "OP" is actually the abbreviation for, "Original Post", in a thread, and the author of a thread is also known by that abbreviation too ("OP" that is) as the "Original Poster" of a thread.

Isn't it great that you were rescued from that nightmare?
The foster program sure has some people who should not be foster parents. Sometimes it's the other kids too. Thank God for His offer of safety in the midst of that mess.

I ran across this site yesterday and like the audio clarity and speaker. It's the best IMHO, Alexander Scourby reading the Bible Christians trusted since 1611 and for good reason. If you bookmark it, it will be available to bless when things get rough, and even every day. I would start with the Book of John.

Was that Genesis that confused you? Genesis is actually a fascinating book full of a lot of weird wild and wonderful stories, some of which are my favourites, like everything from Jacob on down to his son Joseph, and on to Moses freeing his people (the Hebrews) from pharaoh and all the plagues that were visited upon the Egyptians. You may have heard of Joseph, because he is the one who had dreams and was able to interpret other people's dreams, and his father made him a coat of many colours that made his brothers jealous. Don't worry if you don't understand everything right away, because even people who have been Christians for many years and have studied the Bible a LOT still learn new things and deepen their understanding over time. There are layers and layers to some of the stories that are not usually revealed right away. Learning about all these things can actually be a lot of fun and quite an adventure! Do you pray at all?

I hope it was this one you watched:

There may have been other movies on the same gospel that were not word-for-word.

There are also movies for the other gospels, or at least for Luke, which is one I saw long before
becoming a believer. I went to a neighbourhood church to view it over two successive Saturday
evenings (it is a very long movie also LOL) around Easter/Passover of that year, and had a very
profound experience of God's love and forgiveness. That is one of the reasons why I asked if
you prayed. You can humbly ask God to reveal Himself to you in ways you can understand
and accept. Some start each day by asking God, please, and end the day by thanking Him.
In all things we should seek His will for our lives, and not our own will.
Jesus instructed us in how to pray by giving us what is known as the Lord's prayer.
Another reason I asked is because many find it helpful to request help in understanding
before reading any portions of the Bible. Please do not be shy in asking others to help
you understand things you may not, and also be aware that there are varying views on
almost everything Biblical.

I wanted to ask you, too, which parts of the movie made you think a lot and even cry a little?

I am glad you found it so thought provoking and touching! His love for us is truly amazing.

The problem with the computer came from the virus protection software. It is working good now.

The Bible I started reading is a really big one and it does say King James on it. I found it on a shelf in the living room and I asked my new foster mom if I could borrow it. She said yes with a big smile so I think she really wants me to read it. I started at the beginning with Genesis and really made myself confused with it. I am very sleep deprived so that must account for some of the confusion and the really old english it is written in does not help either. People have suggested I start with other parts of the Bible first. It seemed logical to me to start at the beginning.

Hello Honey, I am very happy to see you back again! Yes, starting at the beginning is good for some, and definitely how most books are read, but the Bible is not most books, and is in fact a collection of books, sixty six actually, 39 of which are the old testament and 27 the new. Perhaps starting with the new would be less confusing? The gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. You have seen the movie on the gospel of John. Perhaps reading the same gospel in the KJV would be a good idea. I have to go out for a short while but will be back again later. Please keep us informed of how you are doing with your reading, and don't be shy about asking any questions you may have about anything you read.

Yes, I am still here. I am hurting and trying to work through so many things and talking in a public place seems impossible right now. So, I have gone quiet. I am still reading, still learning about God as much as I can. Thank you for caring.

I am aware of the song. Other people have told me about it :) I wonder if that is where my name came from. Did you know there is a woman in the Bible whose name means "wild honey bee"?

Her name was Deborah and she was a judge. Deborah means "wild honey bee" in Hebrew.

Hello again, Honey. I designed a panel for you today .:)





The main font is called Honeydrink, which I don't think I have never used before,
and I have also used a few other elements/ephemera for the first time also.
It is a collage, so I collect various bits and pieces, some of which I use repeatedly,
like the extreme outer border is one I use a LOT. There are actually six frames on
this panel, but one is probably completely hidden under all the others. There are
two different ones because I could not decide which eyes I liked better, and I thought
I would let you choose which one you prefer. Then I was messaging my daughter and
I showed her both, and she said she liked the darker eyes better, so then I added more
to that one (some honeycomb in the extreme background, and also two honey bees, one
in each lower corner). The woman's face originally started out looking like this:

Very beautiful :) I am an artist too - just a different medium... I paint. At Least I did. I had to leave my last home very suddenly and had to abandon all my supplies. They were not worth enough to me to ever return there again. Eventually I will replace them.

I am having a really hard time right now. Please pray for me.

Good morning Honey. I hope you are well, and continuing in your reading of and looking into Scripture. How are things for you in your new home? Are you getting to know the congregants at your church better? I do not mean to pry or be nosy; just letting you know I think of you from time to time, and hoping you let us know a little bit more of what you are dealing with if you feel safe doing that.
