We know in Genesis, when Adam sinned, God cursed the ground/earth.
Peter tells us the Earth will be purified of all Sins and curses by Fire before New Jerusalem arrives.

How do you know you are not dating the Effects of Sin, not an Earth, had Adam not sinned, would be as it was the day it was Spoken into Existence?

well I thought it was a good suggestion.

God created the earth on the first day. But there must have been building blocks already in place.

It's like me creating a boat tomorrow.

I could create one in a day but the true age will not be known because I won't really know how old the wood was.

Or I could build a house out of stone that's been on the earth for thousands of years.

I could say I've built a new house but the true age of the house would be how old the rocks where.

Personaly speaking I would of thought the earth was created the same way.
With rocks that could be billions of years old.

I Think it's common for Christians who are not builders to automaticy think the lord created the earth out of thin air. forgetting the building blocks.

but when you speak of the earth being cleansed of sin are we talking about the rocks too
or are we refering to parts of the earth that formed us ?.

I'll tell you a secret to building material lasting thousands of years.

So say I buy a load of wood when I build the boat the next thing I would do is coat the wood in oil to preserve the wood.

but the oil will only sink into the wood 1 mm. A tiny little bit.

So the wood will only soak up a tiny bit of oil because all tho the wood has been dried out it still has some moisture in it. And the boat may last 10 years befor you see problems

If I dry the wood out first in a kiln for 3 days, totally getting rid of all moisture then apply the oil the wood oil will soak right through the wood and actually come out the other side of the wood, it will soak right through even with really thick wood. The boat will be as good as new a thousand years later ?.

Now think of the same thing for the earth God may well have prepared the rocks first for billions of years befor he created the earth. So that it would last as long as it has 🙂

The Bible says God is in within throughout the Universe. God, is the Source for all things living, including the Expanded Universe He created from word Go. And yes, the Laws of Physics and Measurements still apply the same. So, Speed of light and distance is exactly that.

Scripture tells us of 6,000 years of our world that God wants us to know and understand, but God does not explain to us just what was here when God created the world as we know it.

Whatever we need to know is explained in scripture and we are given understanding through the spirit, but there are mysteries that are beyond our ability to fully understand. God's time, and just how God creates are mysteries.

Foundations are merely part of the process. They would be made of the same substance as what the foundation is supporting. It's not as if foreign materials are added anywhere within this process. It's all structurally pure and thorough in complete same substance.
