Christ did not change any law of the old testament, Christ came to fulfill that law.
Marr. 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
God is spirit, Christ gave us the spiritual meaning of the fleshly law of the OT., giving law in symbols.
“Christ did not change any law of the old testament, Christ came to fulfill that law. “
“For
the priesthood being changed,
there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made,
not after the law of a carnal commandment,
but
after the power of an endless life.
For he testifieth,
Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchisedec. ( different preisthood is a different law )
For
there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect,
but
the bringing in of a better hope did; ( God brought a better word to us ) by the which we draw nigh unto God.”( a word calls us near )
Hebrews 7:12, 15-19 KJV
The Old Testament
“and not as
Moses, which put a vail over his face, that
the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but
their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament;
which
vail is done away in Christ.
But
even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless
when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.”
2 Corinthians 3:13-16 KJV
you have this word
“And it came to pass
on the third day in the morning, that
there were thunders and lightnings, and a
thick cloud upon the mount, and
the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that
all the people that was in the camp trembled.
And
Moses ( not Jesus but Moses is leading the people and mediating the relationship )
brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and
they stood at the nether part of the mount.
And
mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and
the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
And when
the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
And
the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and
the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down,
charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
So
Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.”
Exodus 19:16-21, 25
so you have that view of God because sin hasn’t yet been stoned for by Jesus blood he’s dealing with them with this dispostion
“
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
Exodus 23:20-21
So when you read the law consider okay that’s why it’s like this
There are many laws against pre marital sex and then There’s this if you read this whole part not only what I quoted , it’s about a girl who marries and it’s discovered that she isn’t a virgin by her husband when they marry and go to consummate , she’s had pre marital sex if this is proven against her then you have this judgement
“then
they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.”
Deuteronomy 22:21 KJV
That’s not Jesus and the gospel , it’s the ordination of that angel , and Moses jidgement As mediator between God and the people of Israel in the desert
“ thou shalt not kill “ God said this indeed Thats always going to be true and God will always agree that killing someone is a great sin
This part though
“And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.”
Numbers 15:32, 35-36 KJV
Is because of this
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
We know that’s just simply not true of Jesus the Lord he pardons transgressions
“
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
Hebrews 13:8 KJV
Jesus has never changed he’s always been full of grace and forgivness he’s always been like this
The law of Moses says this
“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife,
the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
Leviticus 20:10 KJV
Jesus when confronted with Moses law and an adulterer
“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him
a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned that’s true he said adulterers had to be surely put to death )
but what sayest thou?
This they said,
tempting him, that they might have
to accuse him.( will he agree to Moses word ? ) But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground,
as though he heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and
said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. ( if that’s what we’re doing all sinners need to be executed straight way )
And
they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and
Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman,
where are those thine accusers? ( if they would have followed Moses clear directive in the law to kill the adulterers he could never have been saved )
hath
no man condemned thee? ( because he didn’t allow Moses judgement to pass upon her the adulterer )
She said, No man, Lord. And
Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: ( Moses law does indeed many times over condemn any adulterer there is no place to repent and be saved )
go, and sin no more.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ( Jesus is the one to follow his word is the light God promised it saves people like the adulterer there )
The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself;
thy record is not true.”
John 8:3, 5-7, 9-13 KJV
the difference dear sister is this part is real when you investigate it in tbe ot
“Wherefore then serveth
the law? It was added because of transgressions,
till the seed ( Jesus ) should come to whom the promise was made;
and
it was ordained by angels
in
the hand of a mediator.( Moses )
Now a
mediator is not a mediator of one, but
God is one.”
Galatians 3:19-20 KJV
god is one the New Testament is
God the father, annointing The son of God , with the holy spirit of God so God is ordaining it , he is mediating it , and he’s giving his spirit to empower us in it
the law is an angels ordination given to him by God , and Moses intercession on Sinai when they worshipped the calf he saved them from destruction by offering his life and soul to die for them and with them moses Became mediator and he was given by God authority to make judgements himself , the angel is not going to be forgiving it’s clearly said that explains why the law is different it won’t forgive sins it demands a death penalty of most any serious transgression just once
It’s like that because of the ordination and mediation of Moses and the angels it’s not the father son and holy ghost like the gospel God is one “ fs her son and Holy Ghost “
Its just a new and better testament
a Thou shalt have no other gods “ God said that
then the people made an idol and they worshipped the idol
“
No one could change Moses word
Jesus mediated a new covenant when he fulfilled the prophecies in the law he spoke Gods words of life in the gospel
