whatever magenta you sure like being picky

I wonder why so many divorced and widowed people are on the SINGLES forum looking for someone -pickings?

Paul just wrote you will have trouble in the flesh....if you are looking for trouble sure you'll find it.
I do have a preference for accuracy. Perhaps someday you will develop a taste for it yourself .:)

NEVER! Accuracy would interfere terribly with some of her favorite criticisms of Americans.

The modern single Christian question….

Are we stepping out of God’s will and timing by trying to do things our own way?

(FYI I’m not online dating.)

What is your opinion on this?
let God do his work in you first. then when your ready, he will put the right person in your life. who knows you better than the one who made you, and the other person,

I also advocate for searching. You don't get employed, generally, by waiting for a job to come to you. Isaac's wife was brought to him after an active search.

It rarly works like that and those who think it does are likely in for a disappointing wait.

the perfect person in your life should be Jesus, if you have Jesus you have everything.

nope
I prefer creativity and being original, it shows you are willing to risk and make mistakes. And to be forgiven.

Pefectionists arent my bag.

scammers are more prelavent online though, its just opened up a bigger world thanks to globalization.

I remember when internet was new, and people back then did have concerns about porn and bad stuff online. And that has all happened as predicted. But there are good things online too. People dont stop sinning when they go online though.

They still have things like swingers dating clubs etc and places where you go to have affairs for marrieds and pretend you are single. Just like newspapers have alway had ads for 'adult entertainment'. They never did away with that cos it makes them money.

Handling Scripture accurately should be "your bag." I'm sorry it's not.

what?
Magenta, what are you implying?
There are lots of men here who are divorced and widowed looking for a wife. But they be not following what Paul wrote/advised.
1 corinthians 7:27 ...you can read it in any translation, I read the KJV

Does not say anything about looking for husbands though

Jesus DID talk about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom five foolish and five wise. I dont know why there were ten. It does not say they set dates and went round looking for him. But they wise ones had oil in their lamps and the foolish ones didnt.

see Matthew 25:1-15

Were men allowed to marry ten virgins back in the day?
