If John were to go out in the field and sow seed, it would be another who reaps like scriptures says.
It relates to the water and the blood. Why would a man who was created in the image of the water spill his seed like Onan did and not lay with his wife?(blood)
Even if he is thinking of her,he is still spilling his seed on the ground.Onan's sin led to his death.
Onan's sin was NOT simply "spilling his seed" . His sin was disobedience to the law that said he was to lay with his brother's wife to make her pregnant, so his brother would have an heir.
His sin was disobedience, not spilling his seed on the ground.

edit: @Dino246 beat me to it....

Growing up, I was told all masturbation was a sin.

Matthew 5:28 says "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

To me, this means Porn/Masturbation is a sin.

My question is, is it a sin to masturbate while thinking or looking at your wife? (not at porn)

I mean, when my wife is not willing or able to be intimate with you (For example; time of the month), is it ok?
Am I allowed to lust over my wife?
brother consider this type of thinking now that you have received Gods holy spirit

“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:17-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we believe the gospel we believe that gods holy spirit is present in our minds and hearts like when he entered the Old Testament man made temple and his spirit filled the temple . Gods presence is always with a Christian when we wake and walk and talk and sleep and wake and do good or do wrong when we’re imagining good and wholesome things of God and also when we’re watching a pornography film and imagining in our minds these things everything we do and say and think is being done in Gods holy presence now , if we really believe what is in the gospel we’re made aware of this truth

The place where God dwells with us is in our mind and heart our thoughts and the inner places our dreams and hopes and desires . There is power like no other in Christ to realize Godnis always there with us and everything we do the holt spirit is right there witnessing it all whether it is a good wholesome marriage and the design of God for sexual intimacy between spouses , or if we let lust and sexual desire constantly fill our minds and imaginations because we sit and fill up on all that stuff that we know the holt spirit doesn’t want and doesn’t approve of

Im saying this because in my own time I’ve also done many things that I know God doesn’t want in his sight and doesn’t want me doing because I belong to him now , a porn is just one design of how Satan puts evil knowledge and desire into our minds and hearts and causes this in Gods temple purchased his blood

“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭7:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And then this type of a battle plan always will lead us to freedom where that same old lustful desire doesn’t have us shared and trapped

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”( the lord is here now within )
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭

“(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our thought life is important we can pre empty a lot of temptations by knowing whatever we are looking at and imagining the lord is also

Married.. to think of anyone else but your spouse with sexual things is a sin. So any believer lusts, thinking about sexual things with anyone else is a sin

What a man and woman do in their bed room is between them. No if only thinking of your spouse.. yeah not a sin. Hello man+woman = babies. And I agree self control would help. The more we intertain the flesh which loves to sin... that will only go one direction...more sin

It is impossible to lust over your own wife, just as it is impossible to steal what already belongs to you.
Lust is divorced from seeing the person as whole so it is actually possible.

Lust and desire are not the same.
Lust and love are not the same.

Makes sense. I guess I used the wrong wording. I should have said desire?
Its just our post modern world, language is a mess, I do think "desire" which is about the entire person, mind, body and soul is the better word.

Martin Buber wrote an amazing book about seeing the "whole person" probably the second most impactful book in my life after the Bible.
The difference between an I and Thou relationships and an I and It relationship.

Most people in this culture have I -it relationships and this is how this culture now views sex, transactional, as well, unfortunately it has seeped into Christianity.

As long as your wife is aware of and truly accepting of your actions, it's nobody else's business.
You do realize that this behaviour has an impact on the brain?

I'm aware of the dangers. I'm also aware that the fruit of the Holy Spirit does not show up fully formed when it might be convenient.

Where does it say that Adam was made in the image of water and Eve the Blood?
Genesis 1:26
Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.

We are created in the image of the Spirit, water, and the blood.Jesus is all these things. When I say that God spoke things into existence and his Words were Spirit that manifested in the flesh,we should see these things not only in the flesh, but in the Spirit.
God revealed these things to me in Spiritual truths. Why? because his Words are Spirit.None of this would have been known to me if I wasn't born again of the Spirit, water, and the blood. So if he revealed to me a Spiritual truth of the Spirit,Water, and the Blood.I should be able to see it in both the physical, and the Spirit.

I'm not saying God revealed things to me to back up what I say as truth, but because I don't want to be ashamed of the Word.People can correct/test me based on their Biblical knowledge. But sometimes it's best not to say anything.Because you are preaching from the Temple.I don't know everything on the Spirit, water, and the blood. It's nice to get together and talk about scripture.

Adam came first like the water comes first.Eve came from the rib of Adam, because they're one like the Covenants. It would be one of the right ribs since Eve is created in the image of the Blood, and it would also be where Jesus was pierced.
There's a lot to go on here but I don't want to get into that. But the woman who crushes the head of the serpent with her heel is the Church. All who make up the Church are made in the image of the Spirit,Water, and the Blood. It's no coincidence that Eve coming from Adams rib and Jesus getting pierced in the rib are connected to life.
Man(water) lays with his wife(blood) and conceive a child. We inherit 50% of our DNA from each of our parents and it cleaves unto each other, becomes one, and creates life, the same way a man cleaves unto his wife and becomes one.
In the same way the Two Olives trees come together creating the branch and becomes one.Jesus is the branch,he is the Water, and the blood. In him is life.

See it?In the physical world, the Water and the blood bring life. And so it is in the Spiritual.

Your entire post is speculation and huge stretches of imagination.

Aren’t you the guy that tried to say that all God’s original chosen people were black until they mingled with Gentiles?

You are not given authority to stretch Scripture to your own interpretation and imagination.

I'm not stretching Scripture to my own interpretation with an imagination I don't even have.I'm unveiling it.
Is it wrong to think that God's Word's are Spirit and that when he spoke them into physical existence,we should be able to 'see' it?

Lust is divorced from seeing the person as whole so it is actually possible.

Lust and desire are not the same.
Lust and love are not the same.
So you also believe it is possible to steal from yourself, or to covet your own possessions?

Lust is wanting another man's wife, which is not related to seeing a woman as a whole or in parts. A husband not seeing his wife as a whole might be selfish (debatable also), but it's not lust (she belongs to him already - not another man).

I'll keep going whats related to the thread. When a man lays with his wife,it is like a offering on the alter. If a man or woman masturbates while thinking of their significant other, it is still a sin.Masturbation is a sin.
It is almost like you are Cain and you are offering crops because there is no blood/life in your offering.

Now I know this will get people mad from what I just said. But in Scripture God said in the Old Testament "all first borns are mine"
You put that first born on the alter as a offering unto the Lord. The water and the blood are the Two Cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant where the offerings to the Lord were made.A man, and a woman, are made in the image of the water, and the blood, and when they get together, offerings are made.
If you were going solo, what are you offering?

And when God said "all first borns are mine" he is coming for what's his.He says it in Scripture.
Luke 5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

All first borns must be born again.
