You don't need to know scripture or have precision theology to understand what The Chosen, Inc. is doing is wrong. That's what's so maddening. It's not loving to tell people that wrong is right or to tell them only what they want to hear; but that seems to be what people have come to expect these days. If you don't accommodate them you're a hateful Pharisee.

My comments a few pages ago were about what the man Dallas had said.
I have not watched the program but a couple times. I did not care for the what i saw but none of my objection were Biblical . My objection were to the drabness and dim light filming. What is it in your opinion the show has wrong?

sounds like something you might need to take to God in prayer and just check yourself. Keeping in mind “I am a sinner, first then sinned against.” I don’t personally know you to speak further. But I’d just ask God in prayer . “Lord. If You are the narrow road and the road is defined by two ditches that we can fall off into - Carnal Christianity giving license to sin and the opposite side being stiff necked, cold, formal and full of religious pride? God where am I on this road? “ Ask Him and He will reveal that to you in His time and ways.

Yes I see you point.

On social media it is not really possible to tailor your comments to suit all the different types of people that might be listening. Those who have staying power and success are those who stick to their view with good reasoning rather than pandering to the audience.
I agree with @ResidentAlien, ultimately there cannot be love without truth and sometimes the issue is the hearer not the messenger.
The promo video was reviewed and they made a decision to leave the flag in it, they did not have to.
Can you really watch a show when two of the actors are on Twitter speaking their contempt towards Christians?

How ironic the actors despise their own audience for believing in the authentic Jesus. Can the western society become any more messed up, and people on here still defend the show.

That is not at all what I read in @ResidentAlien post. There was no religious pride, it is about defending the character of the authentic Jesus who never once made light of sin.

Some things really are black and white, we are not speaking about if the lights should be on or off during service.

Neither am I. I’m addressing something a bit deeper. Like what is the position of our hearts when we get to some controversy like this? Do we lovingly rebuke with a heart of compassion “gently restoring” or do we drop a hard, rigid hammer of condemnation on even the slightest disagreement. Which may not even be a disagreement biblically but perhaps different “church culture” . Are we bring our own bias into how we judge a production? I’m not saying the Chosen inc walks on clouds , clearly they have some issues to sort out ….. Lest we bring up Mel Gibsons personal issues as a producer of The Passion? Should we cancel The Passion of Christ and boycot it because of Mel’s AntiJew rants? Where is the voice of reason. What should guide our thoughts and emotions simply pausing to Ask WWJD solves 90% of these issues. And I’m just as guilty at this as anyone.

I just disagree, sometimes condemnation is required because somethings are like a cancer they spread and take over because they were not stopped and dealt with at the beginning.

My point is to be aware and informed and not dismiss what are obvious problems/concerns just like in the Passion of the Christ and every other movie about Jesus.
