That's just referring to our bodies. Does 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 help clarify.
At the cross, in one sense, Jesus destroyed the works of the devil. Spiritually this is spoken of in Romans 8:29-30 as already accomplished. But we know from experience it is still being worked out even though it is a certainty. The same is true here in my opinion. I Corinthians 15:55-58 reveals that death has lost its sting and the grave its victory. Why? Jesus acquired judicially all power and authority. And He could at any time place everything under His feet. But God promised to fill the earth with His glory. And until that becomes a reality, Jesus will build His church and God will continue to remake them into the image of His Son. But nothing will or can stop it. And Christ will come and physical death will be no more.

If you go back one verse Paul says "and then will come to pass the word..."(future tense) your saying things past tense like,, has lost it's sting,,,Paul's saying it future tense https://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_corinthians/15-54.htm

I don't see how it changes anything I said. That putting on immortality is the end. The symbolism of death being swallowed up just means it is completely done away with. We still spiritually have passed from death to life.

I also think that Paul, as he often does as he considers the great truths of God, is breaking out in an expression of joy and praise; perhaps even letting out a shout...death where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory.

The end for those of it to the ones of first resurrection(I agree with that portion) ,,there is still the second death after the thousand years that some will suffer ... https://biblehub.com/interlinear/revelation/20.htm

I think we need to be about the Lord's business while we have time, before it gets to the point where "it is night and no man may work".
The Lord's business here suggests that Christians should let the country fall where it may. I'm not sure how not fighting to preserve the good we have here is His business.

We are accountable to God for what He gives us. In the US, He gave us freedom to worship Him. If you neglect to protect that, not only do you deserve the persecution you get, but in my opinion, it is something you may need to answer to God for.

It also turns over a nation to your children that is far worse than the one you were blessed with. How incredibly selfish.

Why so many Christians think it's Godly to surrender a major institution, like government, to Satan, is beyond me. But, it's a brain-dead spiritual warfare strategy. You don't surrender territory to your enemy, least of all something as powerful as government. Sheesh.

Shall we establish nothing good because we know it cannot be eternal? Shall we live without government because every constitution has its old age and its period? Because we know that we shall die, shall we take no pains to preserve or lengthen our life? Far from it, Sir: it only requires the more watchful attention to settle government upon the best principles, and in the wisest manner, so that it may last as long as the nature of things will admit. ~ John Witherspoon

If the next centennial does not find us a great nation… It will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces. ~ Pres James Garfield

Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating those institutions which your fathers delivered to you. ~ Rev Matthias Burnet

Agree!

My post was tongue cheek, I always think people know me on here like in real life so they pick up on my sarcasm, hyperbole etc.,

Me serious:

I do not believe it is the last days.
No we should never surrender, we have a job to do (salt and light, the Great Commission)

Agree wholeheartedly with the rest of your post. :)

Yeah, it’s the latter days alright. We can see much of the Olivet prophecy coming to pass right before our eyes. But hey, we as Christians are to stand firm without ever compromising—holding fast to what God says. And when it comes time to vote, we need to get on out there and exercise our right to do so. We can certainly let our voices be heard!!!

Sick leftists in general seem determined to transform the US into a Godless, borderless, Marxist, socialist, disarmed, Sodom and Gomorrah America under Satan. These sick leftists are straight up anti-Christ! Ever since 2020, I can relate to this line by Dorothy from the movie, "The Wizard of Oz." - Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore.

Can you even believe it anymore?! This is what happens when you don't spank your kids, jus sayin'.
Someone on the radio said this psychopathic stupidity is taking place because the students who were always picked last in gym class now have the ball. I love that analogy.

The old adage is true; misery loves company. And these twisted leftist antichrists are indeed miserable and they want all of us to be miserable as well.

Spanking does in and of itself to raise a child into a mature responsible adult.

So no, this is not the result of no spanking, this is a result many things some of which may have been, over-indulgent absentee parents who defended and overprotected their children, who themselves lacked morality and therefore had none to pass on to their children.

You know it is hard for the world to take Christians seriously we we over simplify.

You know where has the church been all these years, enjoying the comforts of affluence, and not really guarding our faith, sadly I might add.
We have been paying heed to false teachers, lacking discernment, immersed in the culture, justifying our behaviour all along the way, can we really be surprised.
Non-Christians were sounding the alarm a long time ago that the churches had been infiltrated but we instead defended our false teachers.
The word of faith movement and preachers flying around on private jets has been great now we are no longer relevant or trusted.
But Jesus ate with sinners I am told, so it is all good.

Well... the general sentiment resonated with me.
Yes I agree, but Christians believing this is the end times is a huge part of why we are where we are.

To put it bluntly, we dropped the ball waiting for a fictional rapture.
