But if you search there, you will find your God, if only you seek with all your heart and soul
I allowed this Verse to sink in for a bit before explaining this:
if you search
you seek with all your heart and soul

This means, One MUST make a CHOICE to make the EFFORT to SEARCH and SEEK, because, it WILL NOT happen by itself!

Another example of God giving men free will. And notice that he WANTS them to "choose life". So if they do NOT "choose life" then wouldn't that be "thwarting His will" ?(according to calvinists encountered)

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Far too many verses can be used to debunk Calvinism.
  • Come unto me all the labor and are heavy laden…
  • The spirit and the bride say Come…
  • Come, let us reason together.
  • Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.
  • Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
Just a very few, there are many more. Then verses that say "you would not come or hear or obey" far too many to be disputed but it never stops them from trying.

I suppose it's like preaching the Gospel. Regardless, of the fact that most people choose to reject it, we are to put it out there anyway and some get saved. It's the same with the Calvinists; while the majority won't, a few will choose to junk it. I wonder how many of them are actually saved.

Without picking a side but in the interest of seeking to be faithful to the full council of God:

What impact is there from:
1. Being enslaved to sin?
2. Having one's eyes blinded and understanding darkened?

I know you are a Ram, related to the Longhorn Sheep.

Was just flipping through some old pages and there's interesting Images being used here.

It is a great pity the people get caught up in this false doctrine. Satan, God said, was created perfectly and yet his pride was his ruin. Even he had a choice.

Rev 22

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

I have trained many of my dogs down through the years. But when I got a German Shepard, I realized I needed some help in deeper training. One of the things they said was " Don't ever discipline your dog for coming to you. Even if they have just done wrong, don't punish them if they come when they are called. You always want them to respond to your call".

So why would God say "Come to me" if it were no possible. That is what He wants everyone to do, listen and obey His call.

Now imagine I put my dog on a leash and tie it to the door. And I say "come", the dog cannot come. But it's not obeying the stay command either. I have given it no choice but to disobey me! So how can I blame the dog when I am the reason it cannot "Come" or "Obey"? That would be abusing the animal. And it's no different with a human being. God gave us a choice, if He did not He is both cruel and a liar. And we know that isn't true.

Man's will is not "free."

Deuteronomy 30:6~ The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live. :)

I wonder how many of them are actually saved.
You will know them by their fruit.

Out of the 2.6 billion christians worldwide approximately 97% (2.52b) are synergistic in their soteriology.

Unfortunately for you and your argument, synergists account for all blatant heresy. Abortion, gay marriage, gay pastors, trinity denial, denying deity of Christ…

A worthy note.
When we look back through church history at the various denominations that went astray, we always find synergism present at inception or about the time of apostasy. Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist…
Is synergism the cause of church apostasy? I wouldn’t go that far. But the fact that it’s always present is worth noting.

Also worth noting, you won’t find a monergistic individual, church or denomination that practices any such heresies.

Modern Day Trinity don't even align with the Creeds at all, so thinking today's Trinity version is legit, is the biggest joke of all.
The Creeds teach between Father Son Spirit is Same Essence, but Modern versions teach total separation.

You peeps can't even get Trinity correct, and you use the non Biblical Septuagint for your Source.

You actually thinking you are qualified to voice an opinion on these Forums at all, is 100% pure Stand Up Comedy.

God created satan, and evil is a descriptive of satan's character, which is not of God but of himself.

The Adversary, before his lust for equality to God was revealed, was the Most Perfect of all of the WORD's Creations.
You could not ask for a better Angel, Guardian, Overseer, Watcher, Friend, Companion.

Just like humans. Can be so good, in the natural sense of trying to be a good steward to other fellow human beings. Then one day we read, picked up an axe and killed his entire family and went to his work place and began attacking them.

God created it, knew what would happen, planned for it, but still gave the Adversary a chance to make its own choice, and it most suredly did.

The real Beauty about this, is that we know God knows the END from the BEGINNING.

So, as the Adversary is working from Beginning to the End, God, is working from the End to the Beginning, and when the 2 connect, we see miracles, people Saved, breakthroughs, God defeating the Adversary!
