why would you marry a person you can't stand? God does not arrange any bad marriages.
Some marriages start off good and then things change. Some people hide their addictions and you don't know until after you're married.

Pharisees: Is it lawful to put away a wife without a divorce certificate for any cause?

Jesus: What did Moses (Deuteronomy) command?

Pharisees: To put away with a divorce certificate.

Jesus: If you put away without a divorce certificate and remarry for reasons other than fornication it is adultery. And, if you marry someone that is put away without a divorce certificate it is adultery.

Perhaps this paraphrase will help. 👆

It’s really quite simple.

Jesus wasn’t making a new doctrine on divorce and remarriage, he wasn’t changing His words in Deuteronomy.

Jesus was addressing the practice of putting away without a divorce certificate, something that still occurs today in Jewish communities.
I did not notice that, needing a divorce certificate. Interesting

But, if God, brings 2 people together, whether if from outside appearances they look like ice and fire, anything God puts together, will become One Flesh.

"If you put away without a divorce certificate ".....Jesus did not say this. I looked up the verses.

First of all It’s a PARAPHRASE. Second, he most definitely did say something to that effect.

The Pharisees asked is it lawful to put away for any cause? Note the absence of the divorce certificate in their attempted trap.

Jesus: What did Moses command?

Pharisees: To put her away WITH the divorce certificate.

Jesus: If you put her away, for reasons other than fornication, and marry another you are guilty of adultery.

Again, the italic is paraphrase to help you see what the conversation was truly about, the pharisaical practice of putting away a wife without a divorce certificate.

They did (and continue to do) this for multiple reasons. One main reason is the ketubah, (sort of like a pre-marital alimony package) was payable only if she held the divorce certificate.

Mind answering my question?

Are you claiming Moses wrote Deuteronomy 24:1-4 of his own accord? Or to put it another way, is Deuteronomy 24:1-4 inspired?
The writings can be inspired while the actions of the "characters" might not be... j/s.

Not sure about this. God doesn't approve of all marriages (many argue here remarriage may be sin). God also may not approve of marriage to nonChristians or non-born again Christians. Bible gives a long list of people we should stay away from...from drunks, liars, fools, etc. I think people put themselves together not God in these cases.

While God has blessed the marriage covenant/agreement and idea of marriage, He may still disapprove of people marrying on a case specific basis. This may give more meaning to "What has God put together...."

If a Christian marries a Satan worshipper or a demonized person because she was under his spell, was "in love", being naive, pretty sure God would not approve. Maybe this guy offered comfort and a nice house. What should be done then? Remember Satan will present himself in a nice way, not with horns, etc. Watch The Devil's Advocate.

A lot of those things, like fruits of the spirit, come in a far second to being able to provide.
There is only one thing that really truly matters in this life, John. All else is fleeting and temporary. You need to reevaluate your priorities. You were born to seek out salvation and live out your life in glorious fellowship with your Maker. Jesus is the only way and there is no "far second". There is only one Maker, Provider, Sustainer, and Ultimate Source of all things. If you are not bearing the fruits of the Spirit, then you have missed first base.

Walking by faith while working in the church got me nowhere closer to where I wanted to be.
The life of the Christian is not about getting to where he or she wanted to be. It really does sound like you never got to first base. :(

If GOD brings 2 people together:

go back and reread:

If GOD brings 2 people together = Already APPROVED by GOD

Every word IS inspired, God breathed, and that includes Deuteronomy 24:1-4.

When people like our friend @BearerOfTheMorningStar make statements like: “Moses put that in the Law because of the hardness of your hearts”, they’re insinuating Moses wrote Deuteronomy 24:1-4 of his own accord, against the will of God.

This is erroneous of course, Deuteronomy 24:1-4 is the word of God that gives provision and guideline for divorce and remarriage.

Does Jesus void his own law or was it never his law to begin with, did Moses sneak it in there… 🤣

had no desire to be married.
Many of them decided to let their desire line up with His desire, so he granted them peace and contentment in the state they were in, and remain in till this very day. My best days are yet to come, and those days shall be never-ending.
