Elect is to service. Once a person is in Christ, they are elect for service. Elect is never in the context of salvation.
What is required is an act of belief/faith on Christ Jesus and His work on their behalf.... the act of divine mercy has already occurred in the time past when Jesus took on ALL sin for ALL sinners of all time.
I wish there was something I could say that would help you; however, you're so far off the rails all I can do is pray the Lord will help you. I'd suggest you do the same.

@HeIsHere I am still in the process of reading the link you sent you I have to say so far I am not really impressed the scripture they use to prove their points for most part vaguely inplies what they are saying but it is shaky at best. Like this part on election one verse they use is Ephesians 1 3-6 how Paul speaks on how God chose them before the beginning of time but if you continue reading he goes on to express that according to his his and according to his purpose they were chosen to be the first to put their hope in Christ and to be for the praise of his glory.
See the issue I see here is they stopped at the one verse they used that says they are chosen elect but didn't continue reading as Paul explains what he means by that then goes even further saying to the gentiles how they are also included.

I do not believe there are a finite number of "elect" I think we determine who is "elect" by our belief or lack of belief in Jesus as our savior.
I thought you were agreeing with him.... I disagree with him.
My friend I enjoyed your post and I appreciate you trying to help him understand. Sadly though that would defeat the purpose if he is chosen and above them then he isn't doing it.
From the first post of his thread he boasted and lifted himself above his family mentioning how he was chosen and they were not.
He had no regard for their salvation he didn't care about their souls and he created the thread with the sole intent to stir things up and speak in his arrogance there is no reasoning with him that is not why he is is in this thread.

You are funny, the revelation comes in through the sharing of the Good News, they need to accept if for themselves as a gift freely given to those who believe on Christ Jesus for it.
Sure. But blessing came to Peter when flesh and blood was not the source of His revelation, but God.

What happened with Peter is not to be generalized to all people for all time.
I was just thinking about Peter. I was thinking about the relationship he had with Jesus. Among all the apostles Peter and Jesus had a bond that special I began wishing I could have at least been in there in spirit to watch the whole story go down going so far as to imagine I would be able to interact with Jesus as he would kind of stop time and explain things to me.
Then I starting thinking about how he said to Peter on this rock I will build my church. I vaguely remember and I may be wrong about this so please forgive me but I think it was either calvanism or the catholics or something that use that as a kind of source for making Peter a kind of high priest of their belief or something

The RCC calls Peter the first pope, and claim an unbroken line of succession back to him
even though the RCC did not come into existence until hundreds of years later. And yes,
they take that phase of Jesus about Peter's confession of faith, and say it means the church
is built on Peter, but in the Greek, two different words are used: one is Petra (feminine gender),
and the other is Petros (masculine gender). Both mean rock. Only one (the latter) applies to Peter.
Jesus is the Rock the church is built upon.
There are a number of views of this. Some believe Peter is the rock spoken of. Other, his profession. I believe the rock spoken of is the revelation of God of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus was not referring to personal illumination as how He would build His church, again that is stretching the meaning of His words.

Two people may hear the same teaching together; yet one is willing to learn, and the other persists in his obstinacy. They do not differ in nature, but God illumines one and not the other.
