Check your trophy points to see if you are getting the points you should have on your posting. You check it by clicking the total trophy points you have. There is a list of points possible that you can get.
Click on the number of trophy points you have and it tells you what each of them are for. I send a report you do that by clicking on your name Lynx then click report. A moderator or administrator should take care of the problem.
I could be wrong about this, so if anyone else knows, please feel free to chime in.
I started on CC in 2009 and have experienced at least 2 major site updates/complete revisions in which many features were taken out of old systems and replaced by something new.
In the old system, we had "Rep (reputation) Points" -- points accumulated through various milestones they made around the site, as well as from other members giving you rep points when they liked your post, etc. For instance, if I had 10 rep points and Magenta had 20 rep points, I could give her 10 rep points to show support for her post (the old system didn't have likes) and she would then have 30 rep points. But a member's points were also their own to keep -- I could give as many people 10 points a piece as I wanted and still keep my own 10 points. And as I accumulated more, I would then be giving out more to other people when I "repped" them.
Many felt this old system was simply a glorified popularity contest.
In the new system, rep points no longer exist but the "Trophy Points" seem to be a milder version of it. In the old system, I don't think there was a limit on how many rep points you could get, but apparently there is a limit on Trophy Points here. And unlike the old system, you can't give points to someone else -- they are strictly based on your own forum activity.
However, I think there is a maximum limit of 113 that can be received by any member.
I haven't found this on the phone app (it might be there but I haven't discovered it yet,) but if you're on a laptop, go to the CC homepage and look for the subheading "Members." If you click on that, it will give you a supposed listing of members with the "Highest Number of..." according to different categories.
But these lists seem to be very inaccurate. The current list of members with the highest number of trophy points are mostly newer members, but most older members who have been here a long time maxed out their 113 trophy points long ago, almost right after the system overhaul. I also noticed that some of these "Highest Number of" lists have usernames that haven't participated in the forum in a very long time (as in, years,) so I have no idea how these algorithms choose which members to feature.
God's Girl mentioned points only going up to 30, but I think that's on Likes.
"Trophy Points" appear to be something entirely different. If you see a member's name in the forums, click on it for the little box that comes up, the last category will say "Points." I also looked up someone's profile and as with the abbreviated box, the last category they have by their username is "Points", and the max appears to be 113.
These are apparently one's trophy points, and you'll notice that almost anyone who has been here for some time has a max of 113.
If I'm wrong and if some people have more than 113 points in their boxes, feel free to correct me. Trophy Points apparently aren't the number of likes, whether given or received, or reactions or any of that, but the number of "Points" listed right under the gray "Report" box in a person's profile.
(Disclaimer: I'm typing on a laptop right now and am not sure if it's different on the phone app.)
