What is the point in being a prophet?

---America is not mentioned in the Bible or Bible prophecy. The whole world is getting very close to going into the Time of Jacob's Trouble.

Listen to the sermon I will link to. I explain quite clearly where America is in the Bible.

As for Jacob's Trouble, it will come after the destruction of America. The Beast will take control of the world and of Israel. Only a few shall be saved out of Israel (likely 2/3 will die and there will be few left, like the gleaning of an olive tree.) The 1/3 that is left shall be beset on all sides and, with their unbelief completely cured by that time, they shall call on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. This happens towards the end of the Great Tribulation. Then our Messiah will return, and those who believe on Him shall meet Him in the air at His coming.

That would be great, but what if you're wrong? Have you prepared for the alternative? What if Jesus told us to prepare for Great Tribulation because we're going to go through it? You probably have a retirement plan, 401k, insurance, etc. You've prepared for everything except the possibility that you're wrong.

Hello Dino. The Lord Jesus returns at the end of Jacob's trouble. He did not return 1953 years ago. As momentous as the events were 1953 years ago there is much Bible prophecy still to be fulfilled. God Bless You

I know this is my first thread, but I came to this site to ask people's opinions.

God has called me to be a prophet, but I don't understand the point of it. What good is it to know what is going to happen? What good is it to tell people what's going to happen?

When I do tell people what is going to happen, they don't believe me and they come up with any explanation they can to say that what God has shown me will happen won't happen.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22 gives the test of a prophet: "[SUP]21 [/SUP]You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." I will pass that test when what God has shown me comes to pass. The only problem is that when what I say comes to pass, there will not be anyone alive or on this forum to verify it.

Even the most devout Christians on this forum will not be able to accept what I have to say. God is going to do a thing so great and terrible that you cannot even fathom it, let alone accept it. And again I ask, what good is it for me to tell anyone? I fear, and think I know deep down in my heart, that God has raised me up to be the unheard prophet: a raving madman preaching from the street corner about what He is going to do and that no one will listen or heed my warning. And then it will be too late.

God called me to be an evangelist, which started around a couple years ago. It is God that gave me the courage to be an evangelist. There is no way I could do it, without God giving me courage. It is like Jeremiah preaching to the king and risking everything. Had to move to another place in order to find a job. Since I offended everyone there. Reason why I risked it, is because I love (obey and doer ) God. Want this world to end. Bottom verse is what it is like before preaching.

When people tell me I'm wrong, I say, "I hope I am wrong, and that Jesus comes and takes us away. But, if I'm not wrong, you will not be prepared."

You know that whole common thing about believers not being prepared for the tribulation is a worn out thing and is just not right. I won't deny there are those who just want to escape some want to just go home and escape this others want to be with Jesus so badly it almost drives them insane

Both are valid reasons this place is not our home it is only natural to have a longing to be where you belong. And the desire to be with Jesus well that is scriptural
However what isn't scriptural is the assumption that their hearts would not be prepared for what is to come because one could also argue if the pretrib rapture is correct that you will miss it because we are even told to keep watch I could use the ten virgins parable as a point or how he mentions coming as a thief but that would be assuming your heart was not prepared because you didnt believe in it and were expecting to go through the tribulation.

I think discussing this to gain further understanding is good but when you go as far to call another persons stance a lie from the devil assurting your stance as the truth that is just wrong.

Are you not capable of being wrong as much as I am? If all the people who thought they knew better and then God just does things in a way they didn't see coming could have had the bible yet we have it and continue to make the same mistakes we study and gain our understanding of the truth rather our truth and we assume we aren;t wrong.

The way I see it what you call the seed the enemy planted isn't the doctrine of the rapture in any sense of itself the seed he planted was the confusion division and seperation of the truth the church and the body.

Look at the debate of the rapture see the seperation of what the truth of the matter is? See the division the arguments the slander everything this topic alone brings with it? And no one sees the thorns of the devil here? No one questions why we are trying to prove the so called truth when we can't even agree on the truth of one single topic?

If we actually had the truth and understanding of this matter no matter where you stand on it there would be no way to disprove it truth is not able to be disproven that is why is called truth.

Clearly if we cannot disprove the so called lies of the enemy then we don't have the full picture do we? So to assume your doctrine is correct and not even consider that maybe you might be wrong about your entire understanding is jumping the gun.

The lord tells me how the opposite of darkness and light attract, the real answer is simple when a new world comes we won't have the accuser of the brethren setting folk up for the fall, we will have a reformed church and a sounding board on earth that will well and truly establish forgiveness for future sins, because even when the new world comes on earth mankind will still sin,
It will be the same after Noah.

People say no earth will be heaven one day, but yet after Noah, this never happened, after Jesus this never happened, after the 12 tribes of Isreal this never happened,

After The garden of Eden this never happened

But yet theese where all occasions when Gods kingdom came to earth.

Then we have sin taking place in heaven (the Rebellion of the angels).

So people say no sin could happen when earth becomes heaven, which is also a hope for pre tribulation, but is that a hope or a hopeful imagination of wishfully thinking.

I love the idea my self but divorces have happend in heaven to,
Untill this yet another day of the return of our kingdom, this time hopefully for Good, we will have to dwell in hope and prayer and in each other and our holy spirit, but the longing really is going to lead to all sorts of wonderful imagination

Well the denominations the speaking ill of other denominations claiming each one to be write being right in our own minds there is a song I used love to listen to I can't remember who it is by bit is called city on a hill it sings of a city on a hill that shined bright is spoke of dancers poets soldiers the fire of the young ones the wisdom of the old and the story of an old man that needed to be told but the light began to fade from the city because the everyone thought they were right in their ways and in their minds the young ones thought the dancers were shallow the soldiers thought the poets were weak the old men thought the young were foolish you get the idea.

But the song continues on how they all left and went their seperate ways not knowing that it wasn't their differences that should have divided them but united them going on how the dancers inspired the poets the poets brought strength to the soldiers the young ones fire the the wisdom of the old and the story that needed to be told.

These denominations the seperation of the truth the fact that anyone can use any verse for their own agenda that is a well known fact. The message of this song it needs to be understood.

I mean Jesus himself said a kingdom divided cannot stand yet knowing how we divided we are we act as if this is just the norm we accept the system of denominations doctrines that divide how interpretation dictates what is truth bias preset beliefs already in mind when going to study for the (truth)

The way I see it things seem pretty obviously not right and clearly if we actually knew and understood the truth of anything you would not be able to twist it or disprove it Jesus shut the Pharisee's up real quick. We claim to know the turth and are confident enough to come online and debate and try to prove and disprove yet we apparently lack the simple understanding that if we can't even aknowledge the division of all this see something is wrong and actually seek the truth the real truth then we have ignored the warnings given to us in scripture.

But two things I want to ask you about , I am confused sin heaven? a rebellion? divorce in marriage in heaven? Can you explain I know of the war in heaven and that satan rebelled against God but are saying this is happening now? And divorce in heaven? Where does the bible say that?

it was just philosophy friend befor the angels got separated from heaven they where one family with the father ( a type of marriage).
Now they have been separated ( divorced, ( philosophy).
Don't forget Paul was a profound philosopher of intense feelings and emotions
