A little surprised, but happy. I did not like how it closed without notice, but I also understand the stress Chris has been under, and needed a break. Managing folks like me can be challenging, just ask my wife….
I think we all need to give Chris a big virtual hug when it opens back up.
He should have just stated he wanted to take a break, but not come back on to state permanently closed. That got people upset, and a person needs say what you mean and mean what you say. I wonder if he got word that Adrian is thinking about starting his own forum.Oh, that…….

A hearty AMEN to that. I guess we all do things sometimes in the moment that we later reconsider. Doesn't feel nice to just have the rug yanked out from under you though. Creates future trust issues. I'm looking forward to the Announcement thread tomorrow night, some 'splainin' would be helpful at this point.
Perhaps it's a Romans 8:28 moment. We also found this forum and the wonderful brothers and sisters here

So... The rapture forum vanished suddenly... Without notice... And y'all are left behind?

So... Welcome to the forum.
The Singles Forum, despite the name, has over the years evolved into the default chill forum where people married and single can hang out and chat about all kinds of things. You'll see a lot of single-related threads, but also a lot of other topics that have nothing to do with singles specifically. Stop by and chat sometime.
The Miscellaneous Forum, by its very nature and definition, has become the other default chill forum.
The Bible Discussion Forum has become a place where people yell at each other a lot and do research on innovative ways to call each other "not a REAL Christian." It is recommended to avoid it unless you have a very thick skin.
The only other thing you need to know here is... Never, ever, EVER start a conversation about music when the Lynx is nearby. Lynx will talk you half to death about anything music related, and then talk you half to death again, so... three quarters to death? Anyway, avoid music topics around Lynx. Trust me.

There's a hymn I was liking at the moment. To the tune called 'Leaving Lismore'. There's a nice version of it called 'Mallaig Sprinkling Song' by a singer called Kirsten Easdale on youtube. God Bless, hope this helps

Folks here seem friendly.
You probably know about the Gettys. They're style isn't totally Celtic in most of their songs, but they are from Ireland I think so they have the accent. And some do have a Celtic sound to them.
