Glad you are joining the fellowship, old and newbies, here at CC and like your pre-trib viewpoint
but not sure about the OSAS lol. I don't judge though if some has a diff opinion. God bless you and your family and enjoy browsing the Forums!
A person cannot lose their salvation. Once a born again believer you are sealed until the day of redemption. You cannot earn your salvation. Jesus blood paid our sin debt in full for past, present, and future sins. It is finished!Glad you are joining the fellowship, old and newbies, here at CC and like your pre-trib viewpointbut not sure about the OSAS lol. I don't judge though if some has a diff opinion. Ugh. Please don't.A person cannot lose their salvation. Once a born again believer you are sealed until the day of redemption. You cannot earn your salvation. Jesus blood paid our sin debt in full for past, present, and future sins. It is finished!
Why do you personally believe we can lose our salvation?Ugh. Please don't.
If you MUST argue once-saved-always-saved, please go to the Bible Discussions Forum. They will yell, insult and question whether you are a real christian, but at least the other forums won't get infected with OSAS debates (again.)
Seriously. It's nothing personal. We're just very, very, very tired of OSAS arguments.
Like I said: We're very tired of that argument. Why do you personally believe we can lose our salvation?
I will not enter into an argument either just would like to know why you believe we can lose our salvation?Like I said: We're very tired of that argument.
I've been here since... Uh... 2014? I think? Do you know how many times I've seen threads arguing back and forth about OSAS?
Neither do I. I can't count that high. And I'm a nerd.
There really can be no argument can there? It's called eternal life, eternal Salvation. We don't save ourselves . We are saved through faith and those are free gifts from God's grace. No expiration. No withdrawal. Why do you personally believe we can lose our salvation?
4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. Hebrews 6:4-6 ESVI will not enter into an argument either just would like to know why you believe we can lose our salvation?
Don't do it! Don't do it! You know how it always ends. (It NEVER ends...)I caved and had to put this, but it needs to go to BDF as pointed out.
Andy C?It was hard after being on RF for 8 years, to have it close without warning.
Im praying this will become my new home away from home.
I have been a Christian for almost 20 years. Yes, I came to Jesus late in life, (Im 65) but my previous foolish choices are now history. Eternity with Him is my future.
Im 100 percent pre trib rapture and also firmly in the camp of OSAS.
I enjoy healthy exchanges of views, and try my best to not take it personal when others have a different view. Iron sharpens iron.
Im a retired Marine, (29 years active duty), and will put on my Drill Instructor cover (hat), if a conversation gets heated….
Im married, and my wife is a life long Christian, and is retired Navy (23 yrs).
Do you remember the sticky on the old Rapture Ready forum about OSAS?? Prior to that, I thought I could lose my salvation. It took me several years of reading and studying to believe it. Praise God.I will not enter into an argument either just would like to know why you believe we can lose our salvation?
No, I will have to find that have not seen it.Do you remember the sticky on the old Rapture Ready forum about OSAS?? Prior to that, I thought I could lose my salvation. It took me several years of reading and studying to believe it. Praise God.
The people here seem nice and I am going to read some more but not sure I can stay.
God bless us all!!
As I did research on this from commentaries, I found opinions on both sides also. One likened it to the Hebrews in the wilderness who saw God's miracles over and over and yet went back to idolatry. I know that's before Jesus but it happened. The quest goes on....in the BDF, of course.Don't do it! Don't do it! You know how it always ends. (It NEVER ends...)
In the words of a finny admiral: It's a trap!![]()
Do not fret my sister, for I too have fallen. I have partaken in the very debate against which I cautioned you.As I did research on this from commentaries, I found opinions on both sides also.
