I'm given to understand that the ancient Hebrews were given instruction of God for the manner of sacrifice. If they followed His instructions exactly, it would involve putting their hand somewhere. That's what I'm trying to find in scripture. Was it their hand to their own head or hand on the sacrifice? Any idea where I might find this.

Leviticus chapters 1-6 break down all of the sacrifice instructions in a pretty detailed manner. There are several different sacrifices for different sins that have different procedures. Hand placement by either the priest or the person offering the sacrifice are listed there.

Don't know, something about the one giving the sacrifice putting their hand on something. Maybe their head, forehead, the sacrifice itself etd.
