What is the point in being a prophet?

YOUR prophesies and sanity is more questionable IMHO than his at the moment....just saying.
Especially by the way they are stated and the substance of YOUR message and behavior.

This guy is not promoting himself or anyone. Far from it....in fact just the opposite. Which lends credence to his message to begin with. Then there is his longstanding perseverance. (Something you do not have)

His understanding of scriptures is better and he cited scriptures....you usually don't.

So far, his credibility is better. Not gonna say that he is true....but that he definitely has a LOT more credibility at the moment. Especially his complaints that he doesn't want to be who he believes himself to be. (Jeremiah, Jonah and Elijah all had this complaint)

His beliefs do, at first glance, appear to be genuine. But without testing they are not valid as of yet.

Ummmm.....hate to break it to you but this is not exactly correct biblically speaking.

Prophesy is not solely limited to foretelling the future. It also includes calling of the faithful to be more faithful and forthtelling....the telling of the current situation.

Just about every preacher on the planet does that.

What you most likely are opposed to is a time of special signs and wonders that immediately followed Jesus's tour on Earth. There were healings and special forth telling of situations to create signs for people to know what was being said was true....that the Messiah had come.

Now this guy isn't telling things like most fore tellers do inside the church today of people getting successful careers or wealth and health. Far from it. Just the opposite. He is saying "game over".

People have been saying such things for over 100 years now. The Millerites were one of the most noted groups doing such things. Guess they were wrong eh? They were easy pickins for Laurie White. (founder of the SDA)

In the 1960's during the height of the Cold War people were indeed fearful. There were many street preachers saying similar things and on into the '70's because of the "sexual revolution" and the Proliferation of both birth control pills and the bipolar population being freed from federal mental hospitals. There were street preachers in EVERY city in America. Just like tent revival meetings.

The biggest difference is that this guy seems somewhat sane....he holds down a regular job. He also has not wavered in his message.

I'm not saying that he is right nor am I saying that he is wrong. Just that at this point I'm not convinced either way. But the things he has said ARE plausible. I'm nowhere near ready to grab my junk and leave yet...just a few more things and I will indeed jump ship AND make plans for returning to rebuild. Just the way things are.

God is not tame. He does what He wants how He wants and when He wants. (I've had that lesson pounded into me by the Big Guy on more than one occasion....trust me when I say that you do not want that kind of attention from God)

So....I get your doubt. So many phoneys on the internet it's ridiculous. It's definitely enough to paint a broad brush on all of them. But I worship the God of Hope....so I always Hope because I have Hope in Him.

If you could fill in the gaps as I have requested in a brief fashion as possible that would be great.

I get it....you are having difficulties because of your public school education....just do the best that you can. (I suffer similar disfunction myself when writing....my wife doesn't and does most of my writing for me...i married an English teacher)

I didn't proclaim anything for 2 weeks here until the lord spoke through me, I never came here to speak about prophecy, in fact I just assumed Jesus spoke through every Christian. The only reason I raised the topic of prophecy was to defend blain.

There are some issues surrounding it. Such as a short term prophesy and a mid term. (Things said so we the people know it to be valid)

And the place to run to....there is nowhere to run.
The league of 10 is currently only 9.

So there are a few gaps in what you are saying....not that I'm completely discounting everything you have said....just please fill in the gaps.

The Bible says, "Come out of her My people..." Getting out of the USA [Babylon] is the only answer I can give, as it's the only answer I've been given. I believe the Great Tribulation begins after the nukes drop.

I don't know the specific countries that will comprise the 10. In my book, I wrote that I believe the iron and clay represent Communism and Islam joining together under the Beast's [Putin's] control. This seems to be coming closer each day: Closer ties with Islamic countries among Russian foreign policy priorities — Lavrov - Russian Politics & Diplomacy - TASS

Mid term and short term prophecies? I don't know. I only have what the Lord has given me through dreams, revelation, and the Bible. I do make a lot of my own personal predictions about the issues at hand, but I make sure to draw a clear distinction between the two. Well, I naturally don't assume or think anyone here is "pretty stupid". I haven't visited this site in years. It would be unwise of me to think that of people I don't know. So, when you asked me, I was confused as to why you asked me.

IF you're a prophet, you have been selected BY GOD to disseminate HIS WORD to HIS PEOPLE, as HE supplies it to your mind. Since it's GOD'S MESSAGE, then HE has a prpose in you speaking it, and people's reaction to His words isn't your problem.

What good is it to know what is going to happen? What good is it to tell people what's going to happen?

WHat you're saying is that GOD'S WORD to his people is worthless.

When I do tell people what is going to happen, they don't believe me and they come up with any explanation they can to say that what God has shown me will happen won't happen.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22 gives the test of a prophet: "[SUP]21 [/SUP]You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." I will pass that test when what God has shown me comes to pass. The only problem is that when what I say comes to pass, there will not be anyone alive or on this forum to verify it.

SO you're convinced that you and ONLY YOU will be speaking God's WORD to us, and that we're all going to be annihilated, and that ONLY YOU have God's Word????

God is going to do a thing so great and terrible that you cannot even fathom it, let alone accept it. And again I ask, what good is it for me to tell anyone? I fear, and think I know deep down in my heart, that God has raised me up to be the unheard prophet: a raving madman preaching from the street corner about what He is going to do and that no one will listen or heed my warning. And then it will be too late.

So far there's been NOTHING from God - only your projected frustration, and you DO KNOW that your proclamation (according to 1 Cor 14) will be subject to evaluation by the OTHER prophetic voices in the Church. So let's have it, and we'll see whether it's "Fish, or Fowl".

Well,
You are still in the USA...
That alone would suggest that you have doubts about your prophesy. It's just the nature of the thing. So maybe you are getting confused or lack understanding of the message given.

God's word is in essence God himself. (John 1:14.)
So those chartered to carry it are EXTREMELY careful with it. They don't add to or take away from the exact, precise words given. They don't get caught up in anything else but the exact precise message given. Deviations from this by a prophet are usually not good. God is Holy, Holy, Holy. Sin and that level of holiness cause a reaction similar to pure sodium and water. (Explosive with only God remaining)

Word from God can be vague....or with exacting precision. Down to the very hour, minute, second, and nanosecond if need be.

Then there are the exacting formulas for true prophesy consisting of several elements....including earworms.

So where I'm not saying that you are full of baloney....I'm unwilling to act upon what you have said so far.

But if and when the day comes that clear signs are given....I'm out like a unicorn....been gone so long everyone thinks I was only a myth.
