Why are things like Hebrews 7:1-28, 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, Ephesians 2:11-22, and Galatians 4:19-31 completely ignored across Christian sects?

We don't seem to be applying the resurrection at all, why?

Sez who? The resurrection of Christ is celebrated across the board and across the world on Easter Sunday.

True, that the Melchizedek priesthood of Christ does not get the attention it deserves. But the fact that the New Covenant has superseded the Old Covenant does get plenty of notice. So do the other passages (at least on tis forum).

As to your use of the word "Christian sects" you are implying sectarianism. So where do you find this?

We don't seem to see that the resurrection is God lifting the law...

Throughout Pauls writings it is very clear that this is the case, yet rather than admit it Christians would rather reject Paul...

There are something like 40,000 sects of Christianity despite things like Ephesians 4:1-6 warning us against division as such...

It's surprising you take issue with the notion considering the violence that has happened historically between the sects that make it very clear we're not a united tradition at all...

Indeed, it is another proof that Christianity is going wrong...

Rather than be unified by the Spirit we argue over ignorant opinions.

Perhaps that 'united tradition' is the problem instead of being filled with the Holy Spirit and following Christ instead of 'traditions'

God promises to keep those who are His until the very end. People (some people) seem to think that what they see with their physical eyes is all there is

Unity of the Spirit is good; we should strive for that. There's one Spirit and one body; so, if we're walking in the Spirt there should be peace and harmony. However, just as much division has been caused by those who profess to follow the Spirit as those who profess to follow the written word.

What's lacking are people with a true spiritual gift of teaching. We should pray for teachers who know what they're talking about. As it is, everyone wants to be their own teacher. Everyone says: "The Spirit told me this, or the Spirit told me that."

Are those professing the Spirit actually causing division or are those without it creating the conflict?

It would be better if Christians could actually feel the Spirit in others, but most just look for those that agree with them already.

2 Corinthians 3:1-18 presents the very obvious issue with making the word your idol... certainly, those with the Spirit should be speaking in a similar voice to the new testament authors because that which moves them is the same, but truth is not found in texts.

The best teachers can bring us to the Spirit but most preachers are more concerned with keeping us coming and tithing so they can pay their bills.

Of course it's those who only profess the Spirit. If they truly walked in the Spirit they wouldn't go around acting like they're better and smarter than everyone else.

Those with the Spirit do not act, but those around them often feel inferior.

True humility isn't in acting like you're less, that's just the opposite of arrogance.

If you have the Spirit God moves through you, demanding such a person pretend to be less than you is absurd.

You can add Colossians 3, where in the first verse, Paul says we have been raised (resurrected the new birth) with Christ. Then, he goes on to apply that teaching (historical event) to our lives.

I think that pastors are scared of challenging their people for fear of making them uncomfortable. They want to be liked.

Im cool with worshipping the “Word”. Since this passage literally says God is the Word.

Also, Truth, is absolutely found in the Word.

You make the same mistake the Pharisee did causing the Spirit to be lost.

Hebrews 7:1-28 suggests something about this, Melchizedek was a priest of El while Moses made Yahweh the same...

We see again in places like Galatians 4:19-31 that there is no relation between the slave children and the free ones...

Yet, clinging to all of this will also blind us, we must know the Spirit directly ourselves.

Let me see if I got this right.

The "texts" you are referring to are the first 5 Books of the Bible?

And you don't think the Pentateuch qualifies as the "Word" in 1 John 1?

John is very clearly using the Stoic definition to make Jesus the archetypal sage...

At best texts can help us get to the Spirit but making them an idol is a mistake because God is actually available as a reality and from there the words look puny.
 
This is obvious in the very description that follows, this is a Stoic concept and those who read it back then would have understood it because Stoicism was the most popular philosophy for the 300 years either side of Christ's birth.
