Tucker Carlson reportedly taken off air by Rupert Murdoch for 'overtly religious remarks'
Story by Rozina Sabur • 57m ago

Tucker Carlson was taken off air by Rupert Murdoch because of overtly religious remarks he made during a recent speech (at the Heritage Foundation's Gala), according to Vanity Fair.

Carlson’s nightly show, which brought in more than three million viewers, figured prominently in the case.

The decision sent shockwaves through the US media industry, and wiped more than $500 million from Fox Corporation's value within hours.

Speculation was rife that the legal entanglements involving Carlson, 53, who is also named in a lawsuit from a former Fox producer, had brought about his demise.

However, according to a report by Vanity Fair, Carlson's remarks at a speech on Friday night that rattled Mr Murdoch, chair of Fox Corp.

The media mogul was alarmed by the religious language and found it "too extreme", according to Vanity Fair.

Carlson opened his remarks at the Heritage Foundation's 50th anniversary gala by encouraging everyone to "include the country in your prayers".

His assessment of the state of the US was laced with religious language, framing America's partisan battles as a division between "good" and "evil".

Ha, ha. It wasn't that. It was for his monologue on April 19th, warning people against the media (which tried to kill viewers with pro-vaxx propaganda). "Sometimes you wonder just how filthy and dishonest our news media are..." It only gets better! :p

Lol, I was going to post about that but you beat me to it and did a better job adding the video!

I don't believe for a moment it was because he said over-religious things. That's just a smoke-screen! :D

These guys are incredibly competitive, I think seeing Budweiser make their move to seize the crown as the biggest phony "pro America" company got their competitive juices flowing.

Here's Carlson's speech. The overt religious stuff starts at 23 min. in where he compares abortion to child sacrifice. I think there may be something to the religion angle; but to me it seems likely that, if anything, Murdoch reacted to the fact that Carlson comes across as a Christian nationalist nutjob.

It just sounds more like you're embarrassed to talk about Christian issues on a national level. What if Jesus wants us to address those things to keep the nation from falling away? To keep Him from having to punish it? In the Bible, Christian issues on a national level come up all the time. If we ignore them like Israel did and later on Judah, Christians WILL lose this country just like they did.

Nah, this is not the reason.

There are others on Fox who are far more open about their religious beliefs and abortion.

This story (about the jailed war protestors) and this film clip needs to be circulated far and wide.

Thank you

Not likely.

There is far more to it than this.

I think we are assuming that when Fox bought out Tucker's contract it included some kind of non compete agreement.

A non-compete contract, also known as a non-competition agreement, is a legal agreement between an employer and an employee that restricts the employee's ability to work for a competing company or start a competing business for a certain period of time after leaving their current employment.

The specific terms of a non-compete contract can vary, but typically they include clauses that prevent the employee from:

  1. Working for a competing company within a certain geographic area or industry
  2. Soliciting the employer's clients or customers for a certain period of time after leaving
  3. Sharing or using the employer's confidential information or trade secrets for the benefit of a competing business
Non-compete contracts are often used by employers to protect their business interests, including their intellectual property and customer relationships. However, they can also limit the career opportunities of employees and may be subject to legal challenges if they are deemed to be too restrictive or unfair.

In return they pay Tucker his salary for the next two years.

Fine, if Tucker sets up his own website he would not be working for a competing company, if he does not allow any advertising at all then he would not be soliciting Fox's clients.

The only thing that might still be a hinderance would be in publishing all the video from the Jan 6th tapes. Fox may try to argue they belong to them, which of course they don't. There are several ways to get around that.

Granted, Tucker probably has a number of researchers and producers, would they be able to work for two years with him for free? Probably not. He could probably afford to hire two researchers on his own dime and because of his name he could probably call up and arrange interviews with many people on his own.

The bottom line is as long as he doesn't monetize he could build up a huge online presence over the next two years. There are investors who would gladly finance a venture like that.

Technology has changed, it is simple and inexpensive to set up your own blog and in the current climate would probably be seen as far more credible and trustworthy than going with any MSM.

Also these agreements are usually made where in return for not competing Tucker gets his salary. There are several media outlets that would pay Tucker a salary, so he could also break the contract if he doesn't care about the payout.

No one should trust either the Telegraph or Vanity Fair. The reasons for the firing of Tucker Carlson are probably more complex than anyone realizes. Also, he was not allowed to fully expose the J6 conspiracy or the COVID conspiracy.

Yes, I suspect that behind the scenes Tucker was outraged at them not airing the Jan 6th tapes. I think that is definitely the motivating factor, though I also suspect this has to do with Never Trumpers trying to cut off conservative media at the knees. However, if this is the military that is even more scary.

WAM Has an interesting perspective.
Black rock now has controlling stock in Fox.
Murdoch probably the second majority ownership. He and Tucker allegedly had a falling out a me nth ago. What it does not explain is why the other, more liberal networks were purged at the same time. Do you have any theories?

Murdoch's kids are liberals, even extremists, so he may have realized they would not be able to run Fox, hence the plan to sell it, and so it appears that BlackRock did not want Tucker.

I think you cannot discount the influence that the globalists will have on wanting to control the narrative, the coming election and to silence influential voices of populism.

This is a major victory for equity!

Fox is planning on replacing Tucker Carlson with an immigrant who has come from Mexico to build up a thriving business here in the valley, Tuco Salamanca:

Listen up, yo! You got these politicians thinking they can win an election by convincing voters to vote for them. That's called democracy, or so they say. But the Democrats, they got a different strategy. They ain't gotta convince nobody of nothing. All they gotta do is change the demographics of the country, bring in enough people who are financially dependent on them to live, or else.

That's tight, tight, tight, man! That's what happened in California, and it's happening in Texas too. And if those suburban voters don't fall in line, they'll be sorry. 'Cause the Dems know they win the vote in every major city, but the suburbs, that's where they gotta make their move. See, suburban voters, they're the ones who decide school boards, state legislators, and members of Congress.

So, if the Dems wanna control the whole damn country, they gotta change the demographics everywhere, even in the suburbs. And they just keep bringing me that, blue, yellow, pink, whatever it takes. And if those suburban voters don't play ball, they'll have to deal with Tuco Salamanca. That's why the Obama administration took Westchester County to court back in 2009. They wanted 10,000 low-income, high-density apartments in the suburbs. And now, Biden's trying to pass the Home Act, which will force local governments to add high-rise apartments and high-density zoning to suburbs.

They wanna urbanize the suburbs, man! But the Home Act, it's stuck in Congress. So, what does Biden do? He gets his HUD secretary, Marcia Fudge, to say that African Americans can't afford homes not because they're poor, but because home appraisers are racist. It's just another way for them to get rid of the suburbs. And if they don't watch their backs, Tuco will be there to make them pay.
