He is the lord
“
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where
the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass
the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as
by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 KJV
He is God
“
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:24 KJV
He is one
“For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Ghost: and
these three are one.”
1 John 5:7 KJV
manifest in one man with one name
“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt
call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now
all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall
call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us.”
Matthew 1:21-23 KJV
“For in him dwelleth all
the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
Colossians 2:9 KJV
“And
Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the
Son, and of the
Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even
unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
“When they heard this, they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 19:5
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Acts 2:38 KJV
notice how the only name is Jesus and we receive the gift of
the Holy Ghost ? When you say “ the “ before something it no longer is a name but becomes a title
What I’m saying probably not well is that
The holy ghost is the spirit of
Jesus Christ
the son , which is the spirit of
God the father.
See like thisnis only one spirit even though it’s referenced two ways
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
Romans 8:9 KJV
this is the
spirit of the father and son but it’s
one spirit of the father
in the son and then through him
in the children the sons of God have this one spirit.
This again is a reference to the same holy ghost even though again it’s a different label
“But
ye are not in the flesh, but
in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
But if
the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies
by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
For as many as are led by
the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received
the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Romans 8:9, 11, 14-17 KJV
all Of theses references are all to the one and only spirit of God but for the one that says this which tells us a lot
“The Spirit itself beareth witness
with our spirit, that
we are the children of God:”
the Holy Ghost is our
companion rather than a
replacement for our spirit he’s come to redeem our spirit from sin and death
He is the father and we are the children in Christ because God has given us of his spirit and this happens through Christ the son who makes us the children by Gods one spirit in all and through all
“At that day ye shall know that
I am in
my Father,
and ye
in me,
and I in
you.”
John 14:20 KJV
The holy ghost is Gods eternal spirit that’s always present in the beginning the gospel is God putting his spirit into the hearts of his children an eternal companion and guide and his name is Jesus
