I have not seen women wearing a covering on their heads, since I was a child.
Finally someone gets it. But there are still 3.5 too many holes. And the holes themselves should be round, and triangular after 5. And blue is fine in the a.m., but no self respecting woman wears blue after noon.

Thanks KJ91 for your posting. It is my understanding that hair is a picture of the gospel in the Bible. That is why so many references in the Bible to hair have to do with prophets. Some call it a hoary mantle. They are prophesying and power is associated with that, and that is why power is the issue with hair. Samson is a good example as he loses power without hair. We read: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth " Concerning prophesy, we read: "the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy". The verse you mention about women having their head covered, in my opinion, is speaking about the gospel. All Christians are women in relation to Christ, they are Christ's bride. Therefore, the gospel provides a covering for them, since it speaks of Christ's sacrifice and resurrection to cover their sin. The man is Christ, however. We read: "Behold the man! " The man was without sin, and, therefore, a covering for no sin, which would be covering up righteousness, would be a shame. Incidentally, the verse you mention talks about hair being a covering, not about covering up hair. I am happy if you enjoy wearing a hat or scarf but I do not see that as required by the verse and verses you are speaking of.

When you read the only passage in scripture that refers to women covering their head, it says women should have a head covering and then also says her hair is a head covering.
I thinknits wonderful if women do wear a scarf or hat, but Im not contentious if they simply wear their hair. Reverence is a matter of the heart not of outward appearences.

Jesus truth is that ALL things are new in Him, the old testament laws are no longer in effect for His Own.
Yes, some churches try to make people get back under the law, anyone who is in relationship with Jesus would not be so misled and mistaken.
