I didn't know there was an awful lot of news in Christianity. What do you proper read, like the Christian Science Monitor or something like that? Because I remember being in the Writer's Guild when I was younger, and the definitive news article according to the New York Times is still the first Advent of Christ. Technically, they mean the Incarnation, nod, nod, SDAs, only the second coming in the clouds of glory is strictly speaking "The Advent".

Christian science?
SDA?
What are you asking?
Maybe read the post and rewrite it. I'm not understanding what you are trying to convey.

I have a look at CBN news from time to time. There is news from a Christian perspective if you look for it.

There used to be a baptist newspaper that came out every month but I think it folded and turned i to a baptist magazine. They got rid of the letters page which I thought was the best thing about it.

They also announced births, deaths and marriages.

Quakers do have newsletters and they can be interesting reads.

Most church news discuss spiritual topics or views on how to live a christian life, not just boasting about church events or tragic current events

The news IS there if you look for it. There is also Christian TV channels but not sure if they have news and christian radio but I dont think they have 'round the clock' news bulletins like the BBC world news does or other outlets that tell you how many people died in stupid car crashes or property prices or things like that.

Some times christian news is like the Church PR machine lol Trying to advertise for members.

There was a paper called the Challenge Weekly I recall. It tended to advertise evangelical rallies like Billy Graham events (he was influential back in the day and had his own press)
There is also The Israel Times which has news of all thats going on in Israel for those interested
The Epoch Times is a chinese langauge daily and I think that does have a christian persepctive

Stay away from Watchtower magazines lol

Everyday with Jesus and the Daily Word are devotionals that you can subscribe to that come out every month

The Grapevine is a christian based magazine though it tends to ask readers for money all the time to help publish it which I think is a bit off.

I cant think of a big press that is solely devoted to christian news on a daily basis. Theres a magazine called RELEVANT which always has photos of pastors on the cover, like they are rock stars or something lol

Oh there is definitely news in Christianity. In the time of the crusades, news from the front about a Christian engagement was reported to the church and in those days a mass was something you acted out. The original meaning of western drama was that it brought the Christian News, and it was always presented in the same style as the mass, it is chronicled in a book I just returned to the library.

Ancient Greek drama like the ones by Sophocles were exactly the same, but today we see that through the lens of the state almost exclusively, because the rite of the Apollonian communion is lost or has been subsumed into what is now Greek Orthodox Christianity.

In the US it was always televangelists that had a reputation for slick presentation. TV newscasters just copied the church pulpit really but also had women reading the news on tv because apparently more people watched if someone good looking in a nice dress read the news.

News of Christianity in principle is the report of a new saint being made by virtue of having been murdered for the faith. It's about the identity of the person, the fact of the person's death, which country the person was from, the day and hour of the execution, and the fact that it was a judicial execution because of the fact of the martyr's Christianity in practice.

News of a prophecy isn't news.

We just had ANZAC day but the soldiers werent murdered because of their faith...they were just murdered because they were soldiers going to war and thats what you do when theres a war. I dont think you need to have any faith going into the army.

We still remember them years later even if they were unknown to us. Their names are on cenotaphs all over the country.... I think most families would like to believe that those soldiers were saved and hadnt completely perished ..most of the slaughter the bodies were left in ditches of the battlefield its not like they could ship all the bodies home. Poppies grow there...
