What does Matthew 12:32 mean? Could someone please explain it to me.

Matthew 12:31-32

King James Version

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Matthew 12:31-32

King James Version

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
look at the situation that was unfolding jesus was healing people by the power of the Holy Spirit of God ,

and the Pharisees were saying “ he’s doing this by the power of beelzebub ( prince of demons ) “

that evokes Jesus response which should give context of what he’s communicating

“But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. ( they were saying what Gods spirit was doing was being done by demons )

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: and if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

( all of that leads here to this conclusion )

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:24-28, 30-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

usually Jesus was addressing the situations he found himself involved in so usually we can better underrrsnd by reading the context leading to each verse we wonder about

Attributing the miracles done by Christ -- accompanied by the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through Him -- to the devil (also called Beelzebub) was the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

We need to keep in mind that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were all involved in the miracles of Christ. Hence He said that He performed them "with the finger of God". But here they were accusing Christ of being demon-possessed, and that was a direct insult to the Holy Spirit. This sin would not ever be forgiven since it was deliberate and malicious and wicked.

It was plain to see that the miraculous good works of Jesus were indeed good. People healed of deadly disease, folks who couldnt walk were walking, blind folks were seeing, and demons cast out of folks. It was very clear that these were acts of grace and mercy and were plain to see that they were of God because no one else was doing these things.
The warning Jesus issued was to people so corrupt and evil that when they saw these wonderous acts of goodness they called it works of evil. These men knew the scriptures and should have recognized who this was in front of them, but because their evil wicked corruption they rejected their Messiah, and purposefully gaslighted him as being evil, because they wanted to cling to their corrupt wicked power and riches.

Its not by power nor by might but by my spirit says the Lord.

To call GODs spirit corrupt and evil is in violation of how the Lord will work towards man.

Remember what jesus said?.....The Spirit of the Lord is upon me...

That's talking about the word of God, remember what Jesus says in John 16: 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is going against the word of God. See Romans 1: 18 - 32....this is example of what happen when you go against the word of God and know better.

“We need to keep in mind that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were all involved in the miracles of Christ.”

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of

the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:

and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-2, 4, 9-10, 12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

“I and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:32-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Of course the father son and holy ghost are present with Jesus in the gospel it’s true of everything he taught also

“He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:24, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s always the father son and Holy Ghost when dealing with Jesus that’s what set him apart from everyone else in scripture he is the one
