Luther was mostly protesting indulgences and other RCC abuses in his 95 theses.Martin Luther (1483–1546), German theologian; the principal figure of the German Reformation. He preached the
doctrine of justification by faith rather than by works and railed against the sale of indulgences and papal authority.
On October 31, 1517, legend has it that the priest and scholar Martin Luther approaches
the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg , Germany, and nails a piece of paper to it
containing the 95 revolutionary opinions that wouldbegin the Protestant Reformation
God worked for six days, it was the Sabbath God blessed for us when he rested from his work and asks us to rest from our six days of work. Christ is God, and God is with us 24/7 and we live with God's blessings, but the blessing I am speaking of is the special blessing of the Sabbath.AMEN! Resting in The True Sabbath, The LORD Jesus Christ, 24/7/365 hours/week/days!! Greatest GIFT Ever!!!
It is about resting from work for salvation... which is by grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of Jesus Christ,God worked for six days, it was the Sabbath God blessed for us when he rested from his work and asks us to rest from our six days of work. Christ is God, and God is with us 24/7 and we live with God's blessings, but the blessing I am speaking of is the special blessing of the Sabbath.
Jesus was sent only to those under the law, the Jews. The apostle Paul was sent to the Gentiles. If you wish to know how a Gentile lives the Christian life. Then read Paul's letters.Show where Jesus has declared such.
The Gentiles that abide by the law of Noah, were never given the command to obey the sabbath.God worked for six days, it was the Sabbath God blessed for us when he rested from his work and asks us to rest from our six days of work. Christ is God, and God is with us 24/7 and we live with God's blessings, but the blessing I am speaking of is the special blessing of the Sabbath.
Jesus is the greatest gift and having Him in our heart 24-7 is the greatest blessing.AMEN! Resting in The True Sabbath, The LORD Jesus Christ, 24/7/365 hours/week/days!! Greatest GIFT Ever!!!
Many of the 10 commandments are not repeated in the new testament but are readily accepted as a moral law.The Gentiles that abide by the law of Noah, were never given the command to obey the sabbath.
Even in Acts 15, where the apostles issue the commandments the Gentiles must abide by. We still have no sabbath commandment.
I have never found in the scripture that Gentiles are told to obey the ten commandments.
Jesus was sent only to those under the law, the Jews. The apostle Paul was sent to the Gentiles. If you wish to know how a Gentile lives the Christian life. Then read Paul's letters.
If you just read what Jesus spoke, then you will end up with a hybrid, law/grace gospel.
You belong to Paul, contrry to his instructions. I belong to Jesus Yeshua. If you believe learning from the Master is wrong, I pity you situation in the sight of our Eternal Father, Who, by the way is Jesus Yeshua...Ask Isaiah 9:6.
Are you Jewish?
Thanks for the great questions! What Saith The Scripture?:Are you being lawless if you choose not to obey the 4th commandment?
Are you transgressing the law when you do not keep the sabbath day holy?
you can think about God after what you read by taking naps between reading your Bible "all day." that's another way to Glorify GodSo you're saying just sit around and read scripture all day? Surely there are other ways to glorify God's day..
Everything. the seventh day Sabbath was given to Israel. Not even Moses was Jewish... so what has Jewishness got to do with keeping the Sabbath?
But that is exactly what the Bible says. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. (Exod 31:15-17)You can't say the sabbath was only for Israel.
I'm not judging, just persuaded that the 4th commandment is not a shadow law. Some of us are "fully persuaded in our own mind" that the
Sabbath is "a shadow" of The Reality Of The True Sabbath, The
Saviour Jesus Christ, thus we rest In HIM, 24/7, And:
He gave Christians "the Lord's Day" instead
All scripture is for all humans, ir is explained in Galatians 3:28. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. The Gentiles that abide by the law of Noah, were never given the command to obey the sabbath.
Even in Acts 15, where the apostles issue the commandments the Gentiles must abide by. We still have no sabbath commandment.
I have never found in the scrlipture that Gentiles are told to obey the ten commandments.
