Right. Did I say I attended church growing up? You assume and parrot your responses.

I believe full well in spiritual gifts given by by God through His Spirit. That alone has made me well aware of all the fakery and nonsense that passes for that gift today.

A so called modern day prophet would not be in contradiction to the timeless and always truthful word of our Creator.

For the record, I have long ago left the doctrines of the church I grew up in because they believe the Holy Spirit is an addendum to our walk in Christ rather than the empowering life teacher, instructor, helper who also regenerates and baptizes us into the body of our Savior. He also comforts, fills us with joy and peace, and more and we are commanded to be filled with Him.

Handle the truth and the real power which is never given for self aggrandizement and you will be able to discern and refute the lies no matter how wonderful they may sound.

I would and do say that you are going to get your nose out of joint with the lack of understanding you are displaying here in defense of words that do not agree with the Great I Am.
You are right, you did not directly say you attended church growing up. You just admitted to it in this reply if I am understanding it correctly. Also I used the wording view point because I understand people may not follow a given doctrine of a church, are even attend one currently. I do lack understanding in many ways, but which one you referring to?
Joy, peace and LOVE to you.

The way you worded it was to say you know how people were raised or their experiences.

"because you was raised with it"
"You do not believe because you have not seen"

The last line being ironic since one of the most important aspects of being a Christian is faith. Belief without seeing. Yet here it is flipped. You don't believe because you haven't seen.

My first years as a Christian were in Pentecostal/Charismatic places. They all taught modern prophets and all those teachings. The thing that made me stop believing in it all Was those people. As well as my own experiences. Also discussions with people then and people who were in it as well, since then. Those discussions further reinforced my belief it doesn't happen anymore. Not like they try to teach it, anyways. But surely you knew that already.
Yes you are right, I should not have used the word "you" because it makes it seem personal. Yes and should have used "?" at the end of "You do not believe because you have not seen" because it was meant as a question. Yes and should have worded it this way, "You do not believe because you have not seen a person use the gift of prophecy?" Thanks for pointing those out. :) I to have issues with Pentecostal/Charismatic teachings but I do believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. That happens a lot do to human user errors. Maybe I can help, if you will allow it. "But surely you knew that already." i see what you did there. :) no I did not know that already lol

I have hear od this happening in small groups and from a friend of mine just last night we both spoke of this very thing for me before I lost my sight and my health I would love going on walks it was one of the best ways to experience him I would take everything in as I talked him about anything and everything he tuahgt me so much just from nature alone and sometimes when on these walks the winds would have a breeze

But sometimes the breeze would be different and my body would instinctivly stop moving as the breeze seem to brush my face gently and I felt him in the wind it was cool and refreshing breathing it in was like you getting a taste of good clean air for the first time it even fills you up inside.
Its quite common by the sound of it people speak of it all the time, they feel a strong presence of the spirit right after a gentle Gust of wind. I've often questioned whether it's coincidence, but I here it more often, your not alone, I believe that hope is the very essence of faith, in believing in the unseen, and if the hope is to please God, miracles can happen with brothers and sisters sharing In strong faith, all acting in faith to please God first,
Anything is possible with God, if your faith is of good solid belief then maybe this is the door to open the frequency you talked about,
Where by revalations come, or the presence becomes stronger than ever.

This is one of the hopes and beliefs that kept me clinging on to my faith, after I lost my mum, but the shock was to much for me bare, and I lost my way, I've always wondered like you if I still had my mum here, would my faith have grown more, because my mum's faith was strong, I only ever had my mum to share my faith with,
I feel it's was my mum's hope and faith of always being around a true believer on a positive level never doubting hope that Lord will give, maybe this helped me get on this frequency you talked about,

But I've never pursued it as after I lost my mum I haven't had anyone to share my faith with that much as a mature Christian, besides popping into the odd concert, or watching a Christian channel, but it's not the same as being face to face with some one strong in faith.

The kingdom is the body of Christ with Christ as the head. From what you're saying, you seem to be looking for great outward manifestations; this would convince you that the kingdom has arrived. I guess I see it differently.

I see the kingdom as the million little things the saints all over the world do for others because they love the Lord and their neighbor. The janitor who goes out of his way to do a good job for his employer; the nurse who goes above and beyond for her patients; the accountant who refuses to be dishonest; etc., etc. When you only look for the grand, you overlook all the small examples of Christ's love demonstrated all the time.
Friend, Christ, is not here yet but with the father in heaven, the kingdom will be here at his second coming for 1000 years then as in the book of revelations, Satan will battle humanity as he is doing right now for a short time then will be definitely be vanquished. Then God will be with the saints in the new Jerusalem on the new earth. When you say they kingdom is here now it is not a good thing.

yeah ok. I see that whiny response and raise you two.

just a little accusatory...but far be it from me to remind you of how you began to try and tell me I am not a believer in anything but a church you believe was wrong

and who can forget this?

and you would be wrong. it's ok. I understand how important it is for you to believe everything you think and believe must by its very nature be sourced directly from heaven. Where did I get that idea from? From the small bio you provided in your profile:

If you are interested in talking ( put not in a dating way) to a guy that is supernaturally interactive with the Holy Spirit let me know.

I am guessing that you may believe that being supernaturally interactive with the Holy Spirit is a step above most of us mere mortals here?

Please refrain. You have already shown that you are not supernaturally anything but just another person who thinks they have some special anointing to tell the rest of us which way is up.

I'm not going to answer you in this thread again as your claims are without merit
You win !!! now can we be friends? Is that something you would want to happen? I would believe it is possible if we both have the Holy Spirit leading us. Would you please forgive my errors, because that was not my intent at all. I did read many of your other posts, seems like we have some similar view points.

The Bible is not about different points of view. You have absolutely no idea what I was raised with. I do not believe in false prophecies or those who call themselves prophet when their words prove that they do not hold to what God states but have decided they prefer a happier ending where we all join hands and overcome the devil through worship

There is only one single thing that has defeated the devil and that is nothing that we have done.

You do not discern because you choose a different path than the one Christ chose on our behalf.
I re-read my post and see I did a quote by accident, sorry about that. Also sorry to those that replied to it. I will try to do better.

Please re-read Revelation. It is revelatory and does not agree with the op.

I have heard for years how Christians are going to 'take over the world' and 'great movement of God' yada yada yada. Not happening.

Don't be deceived.
Believers will not take over the world, as a secular president, but as op said, accept the lead of the Holy Spirit and truly enter the kingdom of God, that is, the kingdom of the Holy Spirit and God's word, and implement God's word into our own actions to influence the peopl around us.

What you've heard is just a distortion of the Bible by People who get it wrong.

That so called 'taking over the world' is the war cry of the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation). I believe in being led by the Holy Spirit, but I certainly do not believe the op is a prophet as his words do not ring true; they are not biblical. They do not agree with scripture.

Thanks

Really, I am not trying to win anything. I appreciate that you re-read things and seem to see what happened with misunderstanding on your part. I don't hold grudges so no worries and thank you for what you say. Apologies in this forum are very rare :)

The Word gives us a definition of His Kingdom . Yet we, that is most Christians do not seem willing to accept, what He says. His words are not fitting to our theologies or dogma. Just as did many of the Jews during Jesus' days on earth.

Mat_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat_5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat_11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Mat_13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mar_1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mar 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mar 12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
Luk_10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
Luk_11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
Luk_17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk_17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Rom_14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Yes I have noticed this lack of kindness here when it comes to Apologies. That is why I do not come here much. Also I understand that ppl like to fight here, and that is not really my thing. More of a peace maker type. :)

agree We way to often (self included ) start out sharing what His word means to us etc. then end up fighting to be right.

In the thousand yr reign of our king Jesus will rule from Jerusalem.
He will appoint saints to rule over nations in different positions.
Once a year all nations will journey to Jerusalem to give praise and worship to the king of glory. If they fail the anual journey there will be hardships placed on that nation.
Make no mistake about it Jesus will rule with a rod of iron just as the scriptures say but that includes the rule of his appointd saints also.
Remember satan is loosed again for a season and there will be some who even at the end reject CHRIST kingdom.

The kingdom is not of this world.... nor are we. To say that it already has come is pointing to the church as the starting of its construction...on which the gates of hell will not prevail. For all must enter in by faith.

There will be no more jew or gentile or male or female for all are one in CHRIST JESUS is the ultimate goal.

I am so glad to hear from you again I was so worried and had no idea what happened to you but I just kept hoping that you would come back when you were ready.
And yeah how you described your health is pretty much how I feel I look scary thin now too.
And yes as soon as I saw you responded I knew you would disagree and you know the respect I have for you if amything I have always seen you as my unofficial mentor and normally I would completely agree with you but God has been far to interactive on the path he and I have taken the mere fact that he has actually manifested in my room several times when I responded to him calling me to come on here and do all this is just to much evidence to deny for me.

This is in no way comfotable or easy for me I normally would never go around saying the strange things I have but it was either that or disobey him as every time I say things like this it is not on a whim or a feeling I hear him calling me to do so and as I said before I never know what is going to be wirtten I just start typing and the words flow out so much so I actually have to try type very fast.

But This is a new training session for me he called me from one stage of my faith to one that is higher and deeper and upon starting this journey I saw the word of God differently as if really seeing it for the first time yet still not really seeing it. I questioned the different doctrines and understanding the constant division in the word and the body of Christ and I refused to accept it I wanted the truth and only the truth I didnt want to consider my views or understanding nor anyone elses no doctrine no stance on this verse or that one just the truth so I went directly to Jesus himself I understood that I was not ready to recieve the actual truth even if I studied because I didn't have the level of closeness with him yet I was still on a lower level where he was calling me up to his.

So as much as I respect you and hope you are not disappointed me I simply have to follow him even if it means this
I could never be disappointed with you. Whether we disagree is not the point. You have always loved the Lord, and sought him with all your heart. I pray God will continue to lead you on this journey. And I have always cared for you, and I hope maybe I have given you a tiny bit of spiritual perspective and hope, regardless of our theological differences.

But, my problem is that I don't think you know enough theology to truly look at the different theologies. My PhD studies are in theology, with a special interest in disability theology. But first, I undertook a massive study of doctrine after doctrine. That included reading 50-100 books on each topics, by many authors with differing viewpoints & beliefs, and I synthesized them and discovered the direction God was leading me. I examined many viewpoints & learned from so many amazing, Spirit-led scholars! My supervisor always made me read books from scholars of every persuasion & denomination. We are a product of our religious upbringing to a certain extent! But she cut down all those boundaries.

Scholarly research doesn't just take a position, then try to prove it right. That is folk theology. The real goal of Theological study is to read many viewpoints, capture their unique ideas, compare & contrast them, in order to come up with some Spirit led doctrines of your own. Some people do get stuck on one theologian or other, but my supervisor would never allow that. She made me find commonalities as well as differences, and come to conclusions after deep prayer.

Quite simply, you have not paid that price. I haven't fully either. My degree is on hold, because my health would not allow me to continue. But, I certainly grew and learned more about God, his nature and purposes, which come from a place of relationship with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And I hope I can return again, and finish examining disability theology, maybe writing a book about what I have discovered, but even more important, how to help people with that knowledge.

Once again. You are claiming special personal revelation of dreams & guidance from God. But it is the Bible itself that leads us. The Word of God is God's love letter to us. We need to not only read it, read it more, but feed on it, tear it apart, digest it, reflect upon what others have written, who also have spent years studying the source of our knowledge of God, and that means getting help from others - from your pastor to devotionals and scholars with brilliant minds who have also focused on the Word, not experiential knowledge. You have returned to valuing personal experience over the word of God. Yet, you cannot distinguish between truth and falsehood in your own writing.

My husband and I have a long time friend, we've known for over 40 years. He reads & knows his Bible well. He uses KJV, because he is from Jamaica, and he literally learned to speak a much older form or English than we do. But he decided God was dictating directly to him. He began to type it all out. Then he began to teach people about what God had shown him. He had me edit one chapter "God" dictated to him. It was rife with error! Everything from basic spelling & grammar, to misquotes, out context Bible verses, and false teachings. I showed him his errors, in the Bible, and he refused to hear! That is exactly where you are headed! A false prophet. God doesn't do automatic writing! That is occult, whether you understand it or not! And you have become so convinced of your experiences, you have gone off track!

Centring on experience and special revelation has always been your downfall. Your concept of the Kingdom of God is immature, lacking in all the things already written about it. I know it is difficult for you to study that intensively, with your health issues, but even reading the Bible daily, with a commentary or notes, and sometimes without them, would put you farther down that road to using the Bible for revelation, instead of dreams & visions, signs & wonders!

Do I mean God isn't or won't speak to you in the small, still voice? Of course not. But when you have a deeper understanding of what God has written to us, you will know when the words you hear fall in line with the Word of God, or not! Quite simply, when you state something is true, because God told you, and it conflicts with the Word, I will take the Word of God each and every time!

The prophets of old, both OT & NT knew the Word better than most of us ever will. God used them, because he knew they would not "lean to their own understanding!" Prov 3:5. New Testament prophets were specially picked by God to record events, to teach God's people, and most important, to reveal Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. Those prophets are not necessary anymore, no matter what charismatics would tell you. We have all we need in the Holy Word. We don't need extra-Biblical revelation!

But we do need a touch from God. God has touched your heart and soul Blain, there is no doubt about it! But he wants to touch your mind, through the Word of God!

And so our discussion continues. Please read about the kingdom of God being the "already & the not yet!" I can think of no better introduction to understanding doctrine.

you know you are one of the few who has recognized what has been going on and what God has been saying or rather the holy spirit revealed it to you. Yes my purpose isn't about me or anything it is for the church it is for a wake up call a rise to be the body that we once were.

My resolve is absolute even the church itself complains about the state of the itself many believers often say how churches have become watered down how there is no real passion or zeal for God anymore we have all these different denominations different sects and doctrines all claiming to be the truth and from the holy spirit your told to study study study yet no one sees what is wrong here the mere fact that the word of God is divided by perspective even without us realizing it means we arent seeing or understanding the truth.

We look at who Jesus said we are in him what is actually possible we say anything is possible yet lack the proof of it leaving these promises as something that faded in history. we have so many people out there hidden in plain site ignored by the world and the church alike and we don't try to reach them the lost are called the lost for a reason they aren't going to ind or come to us that is why they are lost and I have been considering all this or a while now and much more and inally I was just sick of it and told God if no one else is going to step up to the plate then I will I am going to actually do something about it not complain about it I am not goping to study the word until I am actually ready for it if I am not able to see the truth the real truth then I see no point in recieving a half truth or a truth based on interpretation and I have personally seen the level in which he intends to bring me just a few nights ago I had a dream where his presence flooded a room I was in and he overtook me so strongly that I almost didn't let him it was intense but I said to myself no I wanted to go deeper with him and when I let him overtake me an intense loud and strong winds was blowing all I could hear wass this rushing wind and I actually began to glow in a white and blue light and actually began floating in midair all the while this powerful wind blew and it even was still so strong and loud when I first woke up to.

It was a unison with him as if it was no longer me and him no longer two seperate persons but a closeness a unison as if we were somehow so deeply intertwined that we were one person.

There is a depth and level to him that goes beyond what we know a mystery and wonder of God that is not seen or known by the average believer it is a level with him that literally can alter reality as we know it but it is a position with him not a mere level of faith a position where we leave our old selves our old way of doing things our old way of understanding him and his word going to the heavenly realm the kingdom itself and he has been calling us to this life with him over and over and over again I mean I felt the anger and frustration he had for his stubborn children so while I am still growing in this I am trying to get people to tune into his frequency to listen to what he is saying I mean if people actually looked at the context of what I am saying they would know it isn't me speaking I mean did anyone even take into consideration how I said I recieved this prophetic word? I recieved while being in wirship with him the absolute joy and life that comes from worshipping him just looking insanse bouncing in your chair while singing to him with you heart and soul it is the most amazing thing a beauty and wonder that is the key to unlocking all the promises and secrets of heaven it is the state heart and mind of worship that does it this is what it means to worship in spirit and in truth
Amen I did sit in hope and patience waiting For the lord to answer me befor I replied to this thread , I had one of those light bulbs moments and I wanted to share how I had understood your prophecy,

Im still intrigued to know about other events where by as you where younger or previous events in your life such as your dreams,
Do you ever have dreams that play out exactly as dream was in real life.

So you have a dream seeing Your soccer team beating another soccer team a ridiculous score and it happens the exact same way.

Or you see a car crash or a you see meeting a new person in a dream or going somewhere and the exact same thing happens as it was in your dream,

And visions do you all of sudden get visions during the day and they happen befor they happen,

Or quite often you know what's going to happen next.

Or where there any other times that any of these blessings brought glory for the lord to somebody else like a close friend,
Or a time you warned someone to go or do something, because this is going to happen, and they ignored it, and it happened.

It is unfortunate that Blain does not listen, so very often, to those on the "road of faith" a lot longer than he!
