The Parable of the Ten Minas
Luk 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
Luk 19:12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
Luk 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
Luk 19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
Luk 19:15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
Luk 19:16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
Luk 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Luk 19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
Luk 19:19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
Luk 19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
Luk 19:21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
Luk 19:22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
Luk 19:23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
Luk 19:24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
Luk 19:25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
Luk 19:26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
Luk 19:27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Yes i read the OP. I could have been clear of the reason for my choice of Scripture.
It is kinda a long story and my writing skills are lacking... Christians belong in government
I am 76 means not much except i have been around a while. Old enough to remember when school board meeting opened wiht prayer.
Look at the resulting product our ( USA) schools produce.
When i was a kid police men were considered the good guys some one you could ask for help now they arrest ladies praying at abortion clinics. Or stand by and watch "mostly peaceful riots " happening . Not to mention escorting a guy through the Capital only to arrest him later.
At the age of 2 1948 i do not remember Israel becoming a State. 7 years later i am 9 and well remember the talk in my Christian family home. When Christ did not return in 1948 the word was well 1955 will be 7 years, 7 the number of completion, well guess what. Mean while the talk at the table, which kids hear with big ears, Jesus will return soon.. Mom and Dad did not have money Dad a small church pastor. " Should the Lord tarry the girls may be married i dont see a need for higher education for the boys. The term 'should the Lord tarry" was in almost every adult conversation.
The church talk included politics down the lines of We are not part of the world., christians dont need politics we have Jesus , He is coming soon! . Small time politics like school boards, mayors etc. Joe Pew stepped back from were filled with the world. Look at what has become of the USA. We hid our light under the bushel . Shame on us. We sang Onward Christian Soldiers while hiding like cowards under the bushel. We wrapped the Light in the napkin and buried It just like the guy in the parable.
To fit in with the world we sorta dropped proclaiming the Blood of Christ 'works' to make the gospel not so messy. That alone is another topic.

I am not registered at the moment , only because i have moved, I will register Independent or Republican depending on what info one receives in this state., Praise the Lord i am OUT of California . I have voted Republican , sadly as the lesser of 2 evils over the years. For me people who label themselves Christian & do not vote , or vote Democrat have the blood of 60+ million images of God on their hands. Along with the destruction of families that came along wiht LBJ and the great society.
