Do you guys think Romans 3-30 is trying to warn us about sin? How even just one evil thought or one lie can
Are you sure you have the right verse? Here is Romans 3:30: Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

I meant Romans 3 to 30 does it not say that even thinking evil thoughts will make us fall short on the glory of god?

For example im a 36 year old man. And if I see a beautiful woman and think a lustful thought about her then I have sinned. And will end up in hell

Now regarding "falling short of the glory of God" what Paul is saying is that absolutely every human being is a sinner and therefore does not even come close to the perfection of God. The whole chapter is about the fact that no human being can say that they have never sinned.

You will not end up in Hell if you repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. To repent means to turn away from sin (and sinful thoughts) and turn away from all idols, and turn to God and Christ for salvation. When you believe on Christ, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (who is God) and He will give you the power to resist sin and to love righteousness.

Romans 3:23- "For ALL have sinned & come short of the glory of God". this is what catholics should learn. They believe Mary was sinless. they have altered, added & taken away God's truths. Also, Proverbs 30:6 teaches, "Add thou NOT unto His words lest He reprove thee & thou be found a liar"!

Also I will post a response given by another person to hear what you guys think. This person replied

"Paul is encouraging the Roman Church to have faith in Jesus and to stop their strict following of the laws that were given to the early Jewish nation. Jesus saved us, so Paul was saying they could leave the "law" behind. By "law" I mean the detailed laws given to Moses and the early Jewish nation."

Not going to mention who said this.

What do you guys think?

repentance is something you need to study. You know how your using that example notice how you understand what the issue is that is God bringing it to light so you understand where to make your stand

In that example it’s the thought of lust that’s trying to deceive you and lead you to commit the sin God is showing you how to overcome pointing you to where the fight is it’s in our mind and heart

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Understand this isn’t Jesus instructing us to pluck our eyes out he’s talking about the lustful ideations inside the adultery of the heart he mentions he’s calling us to notice how we think and see others so we can change it

If you know the issue is that you think wrong about a pretty woman that’s half the battle the next step is to repent anytime you find yourself thinking those thoughts , coming to understand those thoughts are deceiving you and trying to lead you into sin

sour battleground is in our mind and heart if we overcome inside our mind and heart the actions will always follow suit we need to keep our mind and heart clean if we do our lives will follow

a Jesus teaches us how to overcome those issues Inside that cause us to sin

I have sinned, sexual immorality. I find it so hard not to think of a pretty woman and wonder about her. Or sometimes I let my thoughts go a bit to far and I have acted on them either in the flesh with another person or even alone. I have sinned many times with sexual immorality. And I have repented and now I try not to even look at women. But when I do I just notice them and then look away and keep Jesus in my mind saying to myself don't lust don't lust don't lust.

I have actually lived with a woman during long term relationship. One of them ended up being who I thought was my life partner. We were going to have a family and become married eventually so I thought. She ended up killing herself. We had gone to talk to a priest before together who told us to pray the rosary and try to build a relationship with God.

I feel like it was our sexual immorality that led to further sin and eventually her suicide.

It's a sin I have struggled with in the past so it's easy for me to admit my failures. In my mind it's my only sin these days, once I conquer this through Jesus I will be able to get my salvation and be with our Father in heaven.

Being tempted is not a sin. Dwelling upon it... Maybe so. KJV "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Or in the NAS "The mind set upon the Flesh is death, but the mind set upon the Spirit is life and peace."
And; "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." This is referring to the strongholds of sin in our lives. So that we are able to fight with weapons that work against our addictions and cravings, by learning to control our thoughts with the Spirit. Jesus said, "The words I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life." So, memorize a favorite verse or a verse that applies or both and think on it when being tempted! It gets easier and easier to resist evil thoughts and the temptations that they bring as we make it a habit to use God's word to control what we think about.

Yes sexual Immorality is definately a powerful snare in this world. One of the keys is to look away pre emptively because you know it’s a weakness that Satan is exploiting to get you off track

See the guilt and awareness that’s coming to myu the understanding you need to overcome this is the first step to overcoming often we reason and make our sins okay and refuse to acknolwedge them that’s what keeps us bound we convince ourselves it’s not sinful or we just can’t overcome it your already pat that part now you’ve identified e enemies plan of attack now you know who’s rooting for the immorality and who’s standing on the other side showing you how to overcome it

instead of fighting against sin with our flesh will we have tomlewrn to empty out our thought life and refill with Jesus thoughts in the gospel. It has a way of changing our focus bringing our issues to light so that we can make a stand against the issues and be set free

i know your struggles brother I’ve been through many in my lifetime and I know the enemy seems strong at times remember Jesus isn’t about to throw us away because we’re battling and struggling against something he’s the one teaching us to make our stand and isn’t going to bail out on you during the fight

at he most important thing we can do is let the words of Jesus be true moreso than anything else that will deliver us from this situation

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:24-26‬ ‭

We don’t have to be captives anymore

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s just a one day fight brother and it starts over each day but every day we get stronger and eventually just seat away the mosquito and move on rather than needing to wrestle a bear every day temptation is always around but we can learn to not be deceived by it we can learn to swat away the tiny insect so it doesn’t root and become a parasite and grow on us
