I started the design for this 1 Peter 5:8 plus James 4:7 panel a week ago...

I source multiple ephemera from the web from sites that offer them for free
for use in personal projects, and make many edits to the pieces as I add them .

Hmmm, I have over 12,000 ephemera pieces now to choose from .

I have been making an effort of late to make use of ephemera I have not employed before .

Many are probably mostly useless to me since I started designing in a larger format than originally...

Depends on how you believe. Many instances when Yashua was representing the Father, this was one of them. He states, "if you have seen me, you have seen the Father."
I look so much like my mother that people have said I could pass for her. Does that mean I am her? No, I represent what she looked like.
Yashua constantly states the Father is the authority.
Yashua did exist before Abraham, but the bible tells us that Yahweh always existed, not Yashua.
Of course he forgives sin, by the author His Father Yahweh.
Matthew 28:18 ...All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
"Given to me", not that as the Father I have that power
Questions
If they are the the same one;
1. Why does Yashua say only the Father knows when the end is ?
2. Is Yahweh not really His father as He was conceived by the Holy Spirit?
3. Yashua was praying to Himself in the garden when he asked if this cup could be passed by Him?
4. When dying on the cross and he cried, "my Elohim my Elohim why have you forsaken me?" He was talking to Himself?
5.If They are the same, then Yashua raised Himself from the dead? Then if He did, He didn't really die as a dead person cannot raise Himself.
As for Thomas, He did not accept or rebuke him. Saying He did, is just your interpretation of it. He did say, you believe because you have seen, blessed are they who believe and have not seen.
John 20:31 - But these are written, that ye might believe that Yashua is the Messiah, the Son of Yahweh; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
More verses that states Yashua is the Son of Yahweh.

Matthew 16:17
Acts3:13
John 6:68

Jesus is distinct from the Father. .but not unequal.

Jesus also has no beginning. He was the Word in the beginning by which all things were created.

He wasn't talking to Himself. But kind of like the body talking to the mind. Although that analogy isn't great.

Oh also.. when Jesus does things 'by the hand of the Father'.. what about the Jewish concept of agency?

No.. that's great thanks You might notice the expression on the lion seems to change with the way you look at it. It can look like it's smiling but then look later and it looks serious. Not that it is actually doing that.. but by perspective.

Various heresies have crept into the Church. A firm understanding of the Trinity helps to clarify sound doctrine and lays many false teachings to rest.

JWs maintain that Jesus was only a prophet and that only the Father should be worshiped. Traditional Jews do not recognize Jesus' Atonement as being key to salvation.

The Trinity Doctrine emphasizes the deity of Jesus. The Bible tells us that Jesus was there at the beginning and took part in the creation process with His Father. The Three are One. We don't so much worship the Trinity... we understand the Trinity to rightly appreciate Jesus and worship Him. This pleases the Father...

Matthew 17:5
“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”

By seeing the father in the son, and the son in the father, and the holy spirit in both the son and the father, Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the father. A little humour which came first the chicken or the egg. for me it was the egg, what do you see when you look at the egg do you see three in one. The shell the egg white and the yolk. The shell is the father and the armour the great lion with great strength and a great protector the egg white is the son, because he's all white pure and never wrong loving and compassionate . the yoke is the spirit colorful mellow and calming, they are all equally yoked, and this is one egg that can never be broken. It's an egg that gets harder and harder to crack as time goes by, it's been around that long it's become un-crackable This was how my dad explained it when I was a kid

The Trinity, imo:

The Lord said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness. And scripture tells us that we consist of a body, a soul, and a spirit. The body is made of flesh, blood, and bone which is easier for us to picture as our souls and Spirits are less easy to break down.
In Jn 14: 9, 10 Jesus told Philip when asked to shew him the Father; If you've seen me you've seen the Father and in vs 10) the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth within me, he doeth the works.
In Jn 16:13 Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Jesus compares to our bodies with the vocal cords to speak. The Father compares to our inner voice that we think with, a component of our souls. The Holy Spirit compares with our spirits.
There are three that abide in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Spirit and these three are one.
The distinction is that the Lord is an infinite being whereas we are finite beings. The Lord's component parts are of the same kind; eternal, infinite, self-aware and are able to function independently while still being a single entity.

I am not Messianic.
Yahweh is an Elohim. Yahshua is his Son. The 2 are not one.
It is a hiarchy, just as in royalty you have a King and his son is a prince. The prince is not the King. The prince represents the King and even performs duties in the Kings name, 2 separate people. The same wirh Yahweh and Yahshua, Father and Son.

I and my Father are one. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. King of Kings and Lord of lords.

Think of the Trinity/God like the bride of Christ. There is one bride of Christ, yet a large number of men and women form this one bride. Each individual will spiritually wed Christ but that doesn't equal there being a large number of brides in the grander picture where it's just one groom and one bride.

Three forming a single God and and a large numbers of Christians forming a single bride. There isn't multiple Gods anymore than there are multiple brides.

The Father is God

2Pe_1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The Son is God

Psa 78:35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Jesus is God because the OT says Israel's Rock was God and Christ was that same Rock.


Holy Spirit is God

Act 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
Act 5:2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Act 5:4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

Here lying to the Holy Spirit is called lying to God.


To believe in the Trinity is to believe these three things are true, that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are each God in their own right and work together as One.



The Trinity is found in these verses, some from the OT!

2Co 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, God (the Father), the Holy Spirit, the Trinity!

Isaiah 48:16-17 “Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord God and His Spirit have sent Me. Thus says the Lord, your redeemer”

Here is a person speaking who was there from the beginning, and says he is "the Lord, your redeemer", and He mentions "the Lord God and His Spirit" that is the Trinity!

Isaiah 42:1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.”

Here God (the Father) speaks of his elect servant (Jesus) and His Spirit which is the Holy Spirit, and that is the Trinity!
