So, which one is it? Either the KJV is so necessary that "almost is not good enough", or we are saved, no matter which translation we prefer.... something of a conundrum?
Or, perhaps you are putting all your faith and belief in the KJV, instead of in the word, which is accurately represented in nearly ALL translations....

Oh boy, I'll say it again, one gets saved by hearing the gospel. This could come from word of mouth preaching, a gospel tract, etc...One does not have to read the entire bible to get saved. But once saved, the Lord wants us to live for him. And in order to live for him, we need his word, all of it. If we don't have all of it, then we only live by the parts we have. Does the Lord want us to live for him according to partial truth? Or does the Lord want us to have his whole truth?
I would say, some translations are misleading in many passages. John 3:16, Romans 10:9, to name a couple.
Do you personally believe that there is such a thing as a Bible in ANY language that is the complete (66 books in a single volume), inspired and 100% true and inerrant words of God?
I don't know if there is such a thing; it's impossible to say. If you say there is, that's just your opinion. You have nothing in your so-called infallible KJV that says: "I will preserve my infallible word in the 1611 English language King James Bible." Say whatever you want, you can't prove your theory. KJVO use the same tactics cults use: Believe us, we know what we're talking about. We don't need evidence, God revealed it to us.
Sure.... I believe that most of the modern translations that have been done with prayerful guidance of the Holy Spirit are fully accurate, and the complete word of God.
Because, you see, I am not hung up on some silly notion that each and every WORD must be exactly the same. That is the same thinking that the Pharisees employed in their interpretation of scripture.
I believe that principles are what is important.... not "jots and tittles" as mentioned before.
Worrying about minutiae completely misses the point.
Now, if a person wants to do a more detailed study of a particular topic, then the "differences" in translations can be studied and researched, but the overlying principle is still the same in either one.
But, I have not based my beliefs on a particular translation of scripture. I am willing to compare, and contrast. If I find something I don't understand, I research it.... just like you folks that read words in old English and don't recognize them... you look them up, so that you can understand them.
You know as well as I do that you had no clue what "divers places" was.... until you looked it up. And using archaic language can actually hinder people from understanding meanings. I knew an older guy once that said that we were to be careful, and not hang out in any of those "dives".... he thought that verse was talking about beer joints...
I believe God wants us living for Him, as best we can. I don't think He cares what translation of scripture we use in our journey.
Tell me ONE principle of living for God that would be wrong, if one only had the NIV to read and follow....
Do you believe truth is important? Or do you believe as long as the important truths are written? Minor truths are irrelevant?
Who decides what truths are important and which are less important? A faithful witness cannot lie. I believe all truth is important, no matter if I think a certain truth is not important to my Christian walk.
If a non-believer asked you the question: "Do you believe the bible is telling us the whole truth?" What would you say? No, but the important truths we can have.
God never gave adultery as a commandment. Did you never notice that? The commandment was to not commit adultery.

There are plenty of people who "got saved" after one single solitary sermon and NEVER possessed the entire Bible as we do today.
Including probably the majority of the early gentile Church. Did these gentiles own every OT scroll? EVER? Not a chance.
Act 13:48

And I recall the various accounts of how blind and deaf persons had only ONE of the gospels available in braille. That's it and that's all.
I believe truth is important. That's why I'm not KJVO. KJVO don't believe in truth but in their own opinions.
How do you find the truth? You become the final authority of truth? What you believe, since you cannot find it in a bible?
The thing is.....you must not use the KJVO precedent as an impediment to "them that were entering in".......
