So this is another Young Earth Creationism thread eh?
Anybody have any thoughts about entropy?
Entropy is one of the greatest arguments against evolution. If things tend to break down and decay over time and become less connected and organized, how did random atoms in a state of decay wind up together and find the intelligence and energy to cooperate and form something new?

Nice, but I don’t think you have that right.
‘The current understanding is that we are in Chaos and going towards equilibrium or nothingness. So chaos created this diversity.
‘What do you think about that?

We are going from chaos to equilibrium. That is the power of the resurrected Christ in spite of enthalpy.

Almost Heaven West Virginia
Why are you deliberately falsifying God's word by adding extra-Biblical babble to it? Revelation 22:18, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book"
Haybo,

What are you talking about?
You are the LAST person on this forum I would expect to believe the Bible.

I know I'm late to the party...

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Scientists, to be truthful, would have to admit they are dealing with timelessness when they try to explain the beginning of creation. Since they do not retain God in their knowledge, they must go to the utmost of their reasoning with proclamations like "5 billion years ago" or such, really, uncountable measures of time.

That's what I understand about how science tries to deal with the spiritual or eternal.

So, no: reason, without God, is foolishness and will arrive at foolish conclusions.

There's much I could say about the beginning (like "why" God created anything at all) but that is for another thread. :)

You speak like an atheist who relegates God's Word to a book of myths and fables. Do you claim to be born again? Do you claim to reverence and revere the Bible? God can generate light by any means He so chooses. He does have to follow a list of rules generated by Jaybo and friends. God did exactly what He said He did. God did it exactly when He said He did it.

The rest of you have a choice; follow the Word of God or follow the Fables of Jaybo. Macro Evolution and Darwinism are fables of the most unscientific and ludicrous sort. It is closer to a Satanic religion - an anti-Bible.
You are mired in sin!

How does that sound? Similar to the curses you level at me? And you think you're a Christian? You clearly are not!

I am not an atheist because I disagree with you. I know God's truth and you do not! You are the one who relegates God's Word to a book of myths and fables because you are incapable of understanding it. Example: " God can generate light by any means He so chooses". Okay, exactly how does He do without without a source? Go ahead, give me an answer -- otherwise KEEP QUIET!

The rest of you: follow the Word of God or follow the foolish disbelief and mythology of oyster67. (What kind of name is that anyway? A creepy old mollusk?)

Anyone who writes Macro Evolution and Darwinism are fables of the most unscientific and ludicrous sort is obviously ignorant, and proud of it also. It's amazing that oyster67 even uses a computer, since it's a scientific invention that isn't mentioned in Genesis or anywhere else in the Bible. It must be a digital communication work of Satan to him! LOL!

Since He can't explain Genesis creation and must resort to attacking me personally (with no basis) it is obvious that he has lost the debate.

It's too bad that you don't understand what science is. Here is a good definition: Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. There are many scientists who believe in God, so your generalization is absurd. Belief in God and belief in the findings of science are not opposites. Science deals with observable and provable data and facts. Religion involves itself with the spiritual or eternal.

"Reason, without God, is foolishness and will arrive at foolish conclusions" is one of the stupidest statements I have ever read! What is your reason for saying this?

@jaybo i like your style and reason but have you thought about free-will?
Meaning: billions of people are on a free-willed journey here everyday on planet earth.
Would that be a good endeavor for you, trying to change people’s mind assuming they’re open for new information?
Why would this be worth it for you? And is this quest for you or for them?

I'm not sure that I understand what you're saying. The great majority of people think for themselves, but many people are unable to freely express their thoughts because of official (generally governmental) pressure and/or disapproval by their peers and friends.

I try to state what I believe or know is true. Of course, I am not infallible, nor is any person. The sole exception is Jesus Christ, who said "I am the way, the truth, and the life". Of course, God the Father is also truth, as is the Holy Spirit. I also consider the Bible to be God's truthful word. Beyond the Trinity and the Bible, I don't know of any other sources of absolute (spiritual) truth.

Of course this excludes mathematical truth, such as 1 + 1 = 2 and scientific truth, such as fresh water freezes at 32 degs. F.

My questions were related when you’re dealing with people who don’t think like you.
‘You feel like you wanna convince them? You get upset with them? You try to teach them?
That‘s what my question is all about.

It was absolutely funny and knowing what some members here know about the lives and misfortunes of others, the level of distaste that they show is sometimes not only un-Christian but some sort of sick, twisted, sadistic level of pleasure that they get either for their egos or for other mental related reasons unknown to me.

Yeah this is the thing when you’re not in the loop but his comment is funny because it was true and other people (other members here not related to this topic) think they are funny by making fun of someone’s dead child (in other threads)
Try to observe more before you speak. It has helped me a lot in real life.

It’s okay. I have it bookmarked but I don’t want to show.
‘We all have to face God someday so I find peace in that.

But it is related to a former Christian member here and another member who’s been here a while.
‘These are also Alex Jones fans who deny the deaths of sandy hook children too because they’re either sick, twisted or unable to cope with the trauma.
