how did Satan manage to appear as a snake.

I agree, this seems to be a babe in Christ, saved 2023, trying her gums on the meat of scripture.
lol if you say so. But I use my gums for snacks, my mind however, is an ever expanding marvel, that is alway open to enlightenment,

John 3:14-17 . . As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so
must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whoever believes may in him have
eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The incident to which Christ referred is located at Num 21:5-9.

Long story short: Moses' people became weary of eating manna all the time
at every meal. But instead of courteously, and diplomatically, petitioning
their divine benefactor for a different diet, they became indignant and
confrontational; angrily demanding better accommodations.

In response to their insolence, and their ingratitude for His providence; God
sent a swarm of deadly poisonous vipers among them; which began striking
people; and every strike was 100% fatal, no exceptions.

After a number of people died, the rest came to their senses and begged
Moses to intercede. In reply; The Lord instructed Moses to fashion a replica
of the vipers and hoist it up on a pole in plain view so that everyone dying
from venom could look to it for relief.

The key issue here is that the replica was the only God-given remedy for the
people's bites-- not sacrifices and offerings, not tithing, not church
attendance, not scapulars, not confession, not holy days of obligation, not
the Sabbath, not rosaries, not weeping, not the golden rule, not charity, not
Bible study and/or Sunday school, not self denial, not vows of poverty, not
the Ten Commandments, nor even one's ideology of choice, i.e. it wouldn't
have mattered whether somebody was Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Catholic,
Protestant, Baha'i, Atheist, Agnostic, or whatever. No; the replica was it;
nothing else would suffice to save their lives.

As an allegory, the brazen serpent indicates that Christ's crucifixion for the
sins of the world is the only God-given rescue from the wrath of God; and
when people accept it, then according to John 3:14-17 and John 5:24, they
qualify for a transfer from death into life. Those who reject his crucifixion as
the only God-given rescue from the sum of all fears, are already on the
docket to face it.

John 3:18 . .Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does
not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the
name of God's one and only Son.

In context His son's "name" is relative to the brazen serpent incident.

I dont know if that were true, it states “If they were bitten.” It was the antidote to those that sinned, which resulted in a bite. No one can follow orders perfectly, so we all need to lift up our eyes in faith to the only one with our cure.
yes that is still healing

Yes well put. And here again we see snakes being used in scripture, but could you conceive here, they may have not been literal snakes.

FAQ: If so; then how would someone go about appropriating the cross?

REPLY: By speaking up with a very simple prayer like the one below.

"God I know I'm a sinner who fully deserves retribution, and on track to get
it. I would like to take advantage of your son's death; if I may."

hi yes maybe your correct, I say maybe because if brazen was a hypothetical meaning only Inthe 8ible and also only refering to a bronze staff or gold staff, carried by Moses. Then how do you explain the snake being able to bite those whose faith was Good, but I take it the snake would not bite those whose faith was not good at the time of being unwell in case the sick person became more more unwell.
With respect, it seems you have the details mixed up. On one occasion, literal flesh-and-blood (though deadly) snakes were biting the Israelites, and God instructed Moses to make a bronze serpent on a pole, with the instruction that if anyone was bitten (by the regular snakes) that they could look at the bronze snake and be healed. The faith was applied after the fact.

I have a feeling Moses may have been holding a bronze staff made to look like a serpent in one hand and a real snake in the other. I can't see the that the golden staff was biting people. Am I speculating here if I say that interpretation of brazen was literal also in the bible, or the donkey that spoke in the Bible was literal too
I would encourage you to read more carefully, and to avoid speculation wherever possible. :)

Hi all I'm not really interested about this, but my friends brother needs help, I'm very concerned at the moment,.

Can Satan manipulate matter to appear as anything he likes,

He's invincible, but does that mean he manipulates dark matter, to clone and mimick fresh air ? or anything or any person or animal, so much so you would think it was a real snake.

He can appear as light, but does that mean he manipulates matter to clone and mimick light,
Think about how Satan attacked the creation he manipulated thier mind and let them do the deed

right what God told them created the faith to save them

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭21:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

snow theres faith to save available it’s sure that if they believe this they will look up when bitten and live because God declared it with his word it’s absolutely true

“And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, ( exactly what God said ) that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭21:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

faith is always the same God says an instruction and promised result

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

( man hears and believes Gods word and acts and it comes to pass as God said it would )
And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭10:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s the same with this word of God

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s the same as when he said “look up to the brazen serpent when bitten and you’ll live “ same as when he said “ reach forth your hand that darkness may fall upon the land “

faith is always based on what God said will happen like the brazen serpent God created saving faith and all they had to do was believe what he said and act in it

Think about how Satan attacked the creation he manipulated thier mind and let them do the deed
i know Satan is at war against the true faith. Yes manipulation was evident, however what is your understanding why God needed to Give eve a commandment not to eat from the tree of Knowledge,

I know you will probably say because God did not want them to, plain and simple, you might say.

But I have more meaning which is God could see they where becoming disassociated from his spirit. We know that Jesus a second Adam was led of the spirit in all things, so why was not Adam and Eve. You may then say they had to learn obedience just like Jesus did,

They where new born children, tho adults, however all these things, put your self in the moment of temptation, did God leave them alone to see what they would choose. No because there first reaction was God said we should not eat from that tree, so now put yourself in this moment,.

Did eve choose this first option saying that or did the spirit lead them to say that, baring in mind they had not yet learned obedience, ok so now let's say we go with my view that the spirit was leading them in all things, but yet they still disobeyed, how can this be so, because they where not ready for Satan being new Babes. It became confusing listening to the spirit and listening to Satan at the same time perhaps however they still dissociated from the spirit, so the answer is they had free will to choose. So there for the commandment given to Adam and Eve was because God knew there desires to choose over the spirit was growing. So the world had already fallen befor Satan entered the Garden.

The serpent did not appear as a snake, until God cursed it. There is nothing in the genesis scripture saying that Satan was even involved. Eve was deceived by an animal called serpent.

You need to read the Bible.

The people grew impatient on the journey 5and spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you led
us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

>
The LORD sent venomous snakes among the people, and many of the Israelites were bitten and died. Numbers 21:6

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and mount it on a pole. When anyone
who is bitten looks at it, he will live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a
pole. If anyone who was bitten looked at the bronze snake, he would live. Numbers 21:8-9

hi Thankyou magenta, I'm familiar with the scripture, more than you, know its been all about what I've herd for two weeks in my house, what I need to learn more is to stop quoting the wrong posts, lol . People where speaking in a hypothetical point of view so was i, I was asking would it be literal or hypothetical to think there's things, can I conceive all these hypothetical scenarios, I'm over whelmed, some of my quotes are repeated question I have been asked. Believe me none of my questions in this thread have anything to do with my thinking apart from questions of how best to approach this. I'm also becoming flipped out

And the great dragon was cast out — that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, who deceiveth
the whole world. He was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
