If I ever screamed at Him I would not feel good about it, neither would I expect God to do what I yelled at Him to do just because I turned up the hysterics.

To cry out to the Lord in humility is one thing, in your post you stated you were screaming at Him.
He heard my cries and answered, If it had been up to you, he never would have answered. So who showed more compassion?

Over the last few years I have been just barely getting by. I had enough for food and rent, but not much else. Every time I got a savings started, something happened to wipe it out. Example, last November I made over $2400 doing mystery shopping. In December I got bronchitis and couldn't work for almost a month. Middle of January I was better and back to starting a saving. Than my car battery died and there goes $200. I'm at home counting what I had left, I see the mobile home park manager looking around the front. I'm told I have to cut the trees around my house to below the roof line. I knew that would cost me a few hundred and there goes all my savings. I screamed to GOD, I can't even get a simple savings started without something happening to wipe it out. I could almost time when something was going to happen. Get close to $500 in savings, and in a day or two it's wiped out from unexpected expenses. I began feeling like Job.

One day last week I was screaming at GOD over the frustration. That night a friend contacted me and said an Angel came to them and told them to help me out. The next day I had over $3500 in my account. 2 days later another $3500. I am just shocked. I did call the friend and they confirmed they sent the money, so it's not a scam. I am still in shock over this. The stress and fears of going under are gone. I feel like Joseph, going from being in a prison, to being second in command of Egypt in a day. I told the friend, I've spent so much time screaming to GOD to stop this up and down, I don't know what to do with myself. It has been a blessing.
I have to admit I did cringe a bit when you wrote that you were screaming at God. God DOES understand what you're going through, and that's why He helped you.

But don't go overboard with the screaming at or to God thing. There has to be respect and reverence toward Him because He is God and He has already done and sacrificed so much for you out of great love for you.

Keep in mind that the Lord has placed a lot of value on you - He won't overlook you:

Matthew 6:25Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

But you have to have your priorities in the right order:

Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

If you focus on the Lord and keep Him first in your life, He'll take care of everything else you need!

So here's the proper way to present your requests to God. It's really simple:

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

So this verse says to:
  • Present your requests with a grateful heart. Recall to yourself all the past wonderful things He's done for you and give thanks for them.
  • Trust God - lay all your problems at His feet. Then wait patiently for Him to help or provide for you according to His will. He might not answer you the way you would want Him to, but He will always come through no matter what.
I hope this helps!

Is that now going to be your go-to response when things don't go your way? Scream and vent your frustration at God?

He heard my cries and answered at a time when you would have refused just because you didn't like how I cried out. The LORD has compassion.

Emnity is too strong, it's not about hatred more frustration. No hysterics either, a conscious loud venting to God, something not to dissimilar to Job.

Yeah, I get that. But are you going to scream and cry at God or to Him every time you need something from now on? Just wondering.

Because I personally never needed to do that and still got my prayers answered. And so did a lot of other people.....

He's heard me plenty of times too and I didn't have to scream at Him. He apparently heard you this time; but I'm wondering if since He heard you and granted you some relief if that will become your normal approach now. Do you think He'll continue to answer your prayers if every time He doesn't meet your expectations you scream your frustration at Him?

Luke 18: 1-8 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.

Because GOD answered your prayer your way, you think it's the only way GOD answers prayers? I've met many Christians who think that. They think you have to pray their way to get GOD to answer.

What is also happening. The mobile home park I live in, the owners are raising the rent and adding on fees to the rent. If they want to do an upgrade to the park, they will add it to the rent. We don't own the park, but we will be charged for any upgrades the owners want to do. People are getting priced out of their homes. A friend told me I should form a group, get a lawyer to look into this. I got a feeling from the LORD to stay out of this, he would handle it. A week later I get a brochure from the city. They are looking into stabilizing rents in mobile home parks. Someone is putting pressure on the owners now.

I've been trying for years to quality for a reduction on my electric bill. Nothing has happened. Today the electric company sent me a letter to say I qualify and my electric bill would get a 30% cut. I see GOD's hand in this, cutting my cost.

No, not what I think. I showed you scripture about how Jesus wants us to pray from the book of Matthew, and from what Paul wrote in Philippians. Did you not read those verses at all??? We're living in New Testament times, no longer in the Old Testament times.

If you read the verses I posted, they're to let you know that you don't have to worry that God might overlook you. Jesus said that you have more worth than the birds of the air and that God will provide for all your needs. You don't need to work yourself up to become frustrated and scream at God to get what you want in other words.

Paul also wrote that you should be grateful and give thanks when approaching God with your requests.

And most of all, Jesus said to seek His kingdom and righteousness first and then all of your needs will be taken care of by the Lord. You never have to waste energy screaming at or to God for anything if you put Him first.

So these aren't my "ways" - these are God's. That's all.

-=<*>=-

I know you're just going to ignore all this anyway and will post your pat answers, so I'm aiming those verses to comfort and encourage other people instead.

I did not know there was a proper way to cry to the LORD.
Maybe just pay more attention to how you phrase things, screaming at God comes across as very accusatory.

When it comes to finances we are told be good stewards during our lives and yes give, but not to the point where we end up worse off than those to whom we gave.

That is my free financial advise for the day. :);)

My retirement money was spent while taking care of my mother full time, because she had dementia. No one else in the family would help. I was also used to keep one brother and one sister from being homeless. Once they got their retirement money they did not help me. They left.

"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." 1 Timothy 5:8

God knows everything you need in advance, it looks like you where just about to run out, and then you given some more supply, it's been happening to me for two years, I keep getting surprises.
