I think the demons simply watch what we are doing to figure out our weak spots.
Satan is only a creature with many limitations like being only in one place at a time. He has other demons to learn about carbon life forms. I wonder if demons can use computers to have a database. Why would satan bother if individual Christians when he can influnce world leaders?But do you know of a scripture that says he can or can't?

Sometimes the devil is very dumb too. One day he told me not to go to church, I laughed because it was my habit to always attend. I just happened to be feeling a little down at that moment, so I made sure I went to church.

The devil is powerless against a Child of God. For at the name of Jesus, the devil flees! Praise God for he is good!
