Natural earthquakes have always been present* since God created the earth some 4.6B years ago, as it is inherent to the plate tectonics on the earth. You may ask why does God create plate tectonics? Well, to give nutrients to plants, volcanoes must erupt to form ash on the ground. Plants thrive by using ash as a fertilizer. And volcanoes only form if the earth has plate tectonics, therefore earthquakes happen as a byproduct.
*However, medium magnitude earthquakes may become more prevalent nowadays due to human induced processes such as fracking. For instance, an earthquake in China had 12 deaths. The quake has been caused by human actions. So yeah, quake frequency will increase over the following decades due to human actions, which may be interpreted as a sign of the end times. In other words, the End Times might be partially triggered by us.
Also, the Euphrates river is already drying up, along with the Tigris due to human induced global warming. Climate scientists predict by 2040, the two rivers would be dry. The Bible discusses that the sign of the end would be the drying of those two Mesopotamian rivers. The Muslims also discuss that the apocalypse will happen when the Tigris & Euphrates dry up also.
Me personally, I don't think the world would end for another century, assuming the rivers get some nice rain in the future, but no one knows the hour of Christ's return, and we should not try and force predictions, though the mid 21st century could be possible. So, if we want Jesus to return quicker, everyone should get a Hummer H2 and burn their compost piles to dry up the Tigris and Euphrates. God did say be good stewards of the Earth though, so I advise against hurrying the apocalypse.
