In this video David Wilkerson confronts some Jesus people about smoking pot and taking LSD. The Jesus people defend themselves but notice they never once deny they smoke pot or take LSD.
Drug use was pretty common among the Jesus people. Lonnie Frisbee, one of the movement's prominent leaders, preached while high on LSD. He also carried on homosexual affairs behind his wife's back and eventually died of AIDS.
This is a side of the Jesus people that unfortunately isn't always discussed.
I read all of wikersons books, and had the pleasure of meeting him...but there were definitely things I disagreed with him on....watching this video...he comes to the interview / meeting.. with a preconceived idea or argument...and badgers the group....
the "body" today has many spiritual health issues....

a very clear indicator of end times church issues.....
Much good came out of the Jesus movement of that time...yes also some corruption, some false teaching etc...but God has a way of using it for his GOOD!!!
I recall a story out of the Bible.. i escapes me at the moment...Jesus disciples report to HIM, that they have seen different people casting out demons, and healing in Jesus name etc... Jesus tells them to leave them alone...
