Not to mention Jesus said he didn't come to abolish the law but fulfill it David even praised God for his law because lived in the kingdom he saw and had the life that obedience brings it's not a sacrifice or something that shows us where we are lacking it isn't about us it's about him and obedience.
I would even dare people to take the ten commandments and for seven days live each moment in obdeience to it just to be obedient not to worry about whether you keep it fully or if you are lacking just do it purely to be obedient to him and see what blessings will flood your life

You what not to do
“Thou shalt not commit adultery “ is a commandment to sinners of what not to do
christians have a better word that teaches us what to do to live upright lives and inherit everlasting life
rather than teaching us what not to do or we will die.
The Ten Commandments are the foundation of Moses law and what it’s sections are built upon all 613 commands relate to the ten general commandments
It’s like saying “ the ten beatitudes are part of the gospel “
The Ten Commandments are definately the old covenant law mediated by Moses but surely even to a Christian th y still define what sin is so they matter very much they teach us out sin so we can repent
If I know it’s wrong to kill I no longer need to yoke that law before my eyes it’s written on my heart already my conscience . if I think adultery is not an issue I need to hear about adultery being sin and a death sentance so I’ll repent

It isn't that it's telling us what not to do it begins with the first one to have no other Gods before him he says this then proceeds to give the rest in the form of things not to do but there is a clever formula here that he put in place
The first commandment is the base for the formula you have to start and focus there before going to the next one he says to have no other Gods before him this means he wants our entire focus he wants us to seek the kingdom first this is the thing that gives life and glory to the one who obeys the rest of the commandments without understanding this commandment you can never fulfill it and the point isn't to be able to get it perfect the point is that you did it and do it based on the first commandment.
This is when the vaults of heaven pour out the commandments are basically God saying hey if you listen to me on this I will give you a million dollars. This is jjust an example but the thing is it's kind of unfair all we have to do is have him first and the rest of the commandments just naturally follow and then we get rewarded and blessed simply for listening and obeying a huge payload that seems undeserving

think about that for a moment of man understood anything at all they would understand WE are the image of God but man became corrupt and was filled with good and evil. Then later man began worshipping images of calves and goats and alligators and stars ect then after that came the law to teach us its sin .

see killers need to be taught killing is sin and it’s a death sentance to mankind.
Those who make idols and worship false gods need to be taught that only the true God gives eternal life all other gods will lead the person to death

The law is teaching man what not to do think about it brother the things they were told to do the ordinances and sabbaths and washings and ceremonies and sacrifices and atonement prices ect ect ect are all gone from the gospel
but what I’m saying is , the understanding that adultery is sin is still there to a Christian ot still teaches us about sin so we can repent. In other words “by the law is the knowledge of sin “ like Paul wrote there

We have the old testament and the new testament the old and new covanent but we still call the entire book the word of God and every word written in there should be seen and treated as if God himself spoke and what he speaks never goes away his word is law no excuses no interpretation what he says goes.
So the commands he gives is not to be questioned because it is law. But the curse of law was done in fleshly manner no one could measure up and it pointed out every failure in them. But then why when someone would follow his law even in the old testament was it a blessing on them instead of a curse? the key to understanding the law is in that and then you have Jesus coming in fulfilling the law and if he isn't your example then you should be worried. But see he didn't get rid of the law he added to it, God doesn't remove truth he only builds upon it.

I don't know what is going on here but the site is being wierd on my end so I am trying to respond to you but it's being wierd so I wanted to say that all you wrote was absolutely amazing you have all the right materials I just think we need to tweak some things. Yes the law is and was for sinners but we are the image of God Jesus became the law and fulfilled it so therefore if we are the image of Christ then we carry the law with us just as he did that is how you not only have life from it but it is written on your heart and you radiate it from within and people in sin won't like it even believers who need to be reminded so they stay on the straight and narrow path.
