Just a Thought. If we had shot down the balloon over the mainland, and had a subsequent Biological outbreak that was worse than Covid19, where would we be in a few days? I wonder how much info the US gathered from the balloon during its flyover.
It's funny the technology used to shoot it down. That fabulous sidewinder missile used during the Vietnam conflict. It's still just as effective as it was the first time it was employed, and still a favorite of fighter pilots.

Here's a thought. The balloon is releasing a biological agent slowly as it goes across the entire US over a week's time. it follows the path of the jet stream to make sure this stuff doesn't blow back towards China. The incubation period is around 1-2 weeks so while it is in the sky no one is getting sick, yet. Then a compromised agent in the US government orders this to be shot down over the ocean where the sea water will wash away any remaining trace of the bio weapon released.
Meanwhile China makes a big stink about how they are offended with us shooting down the balloon to deceive the simple minded.

They could have shot it down over the aleutian islands without any risk to anyone on the ground. A much likelier explanation is they didn't shoot it down because they didn't want to disrupt Blinkens going to China to kowtow before the Chinese. The only reason they admitted to the balloon was because someone in Billings Montana took a picture and wanted to know what it was.

It's not just the balloon that went over the US that's concerning because it wasn't the only one. There was also one that went over Costa Rica,Venezuela ect. .... That means they released one in the Bering Sea and one just before they went through the Panama Canal their looking at invading all of the Americas not just the US...

Everything is connected. If the power goes out and laptop and phone are fried, doesn't matter if some cables still work.
The power grid is like dominoes, you don't have to knock them all down, knock a few down and the rest fall. Knock out the grid in NYC and you probably take the entire NE down. Knock out the grid in NY State and you probably take the whole East coast down.
Also all these cars and trucks are now equipped with chips. If they get fried by an EMP there won't be any deliveries which means no new parts to repair the things that got fried.
Also, consider gas stations, if your pump is fried you can't pump gas. So the gas stations don't have gas because the trucks got fried and even if a truck isn't fried it can't deliver gas because the pumps at the gas station don't work.
But suppose somehow that half the trucks can get up and running, even if they have to carry their gas with them. By this time you will have looting and roving gangs, being a truck driver will be way too dangerous, at least in any cities.
If we actually do get attacked by Russia it will almost certainly include these mega Tsunamis they can create which will wipe out the entire coastline 5 miles in. That means all ports are wiped out, all imports are wiped out. So forget anything that must be imported. So you can't buy a new phone or a new laptop or a new car. Do you realize there aren't any cars that are 100% made in America?

I believe God will protect His redeemed, though many during the tribulation will be beheaded as a testimony of their faithfulness.

I think the Lord is sovereign that the US is dividing into the Blue states on the coastlines and the red states in the center of the country. The coastline is where we have our banking industry, stock market, Hollywood, Federal government, Alphabet agencies, Leftist liberals, and all those that refer to the rest of the country as "deplorables" and "fly over states".
Take Washington DC, NYC, LA, San Fran, Portland, Seatle, Philadelphia, and Miami out of the political equation and this country becomes conservative Christian nation again.

He does so want each of us to come to Him in relationship and learn His ways before that Day that we may escape the things to come.
Amen! And we will be seeing as much as He has work for us to do to be His hands and feet here, and when His Spirit will no longer strive with man, we will go home for a while.
