There is plenty we can do in our own strength
and we sometimes forget to thank God
that he gave us the strength to do those little things.
But when something difficult comes along, we say it’s too hard.
And we forget that God is there to call upon him for Grace to overcome.
The Lord did call us to be overcomers.
If we give up when trials come our way, then maybe we have accidentally let go of faith at some point. And God in His love is bringing us back to faith.

yeah remember Peter ?
Jesus comes walking on the water and Peter sees him and says “ lord if it is you call Me out with you on the water “
jesus says “ come Peter “
Peter Jumps out of the boat by faith hearing his word and walks on water
about Peters faith hits a snag and fails for a moment he looks away from Jesus and notices the waves and storm and so he starts sinking as his faith is tested and he fails this test
about still Peter calls out “lord save me !”and of course Jesus reaches down and sets him in the safety of the boat.
faith is a continual growing process like a seed that roots and grows we will and all have certainly failed in an action of faith before since coming to Jesus but he doesn’t throw us away because we fail , he doesn’t let us drown because our faith isn’t strong enough
he is there with us through it all the highs and lows the successes and failures it isn’t in a momentary failure of our faith that we are lost to him , its when we won’t step out of the boat when he’s calling us that leaves us behind he’s always calling us to step forth in faith that means to walk by this
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 KJV
we have to hear what Jesus said to receive faith like this this is a statement of faith it’s beckoning us to trust him at his word
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Mark 16:15-16 KJV
If I believe what Jesus said and sent to all creatures for salvation if I hear that and believe it nd act upon that belief I’ve acted in faith hearing his word and believing what he said
when we fail he’s there to help us up and set us safely back in the boat when we don’t trust him enough to step forward when he calls believing his promises it isn’t faith
A word of faith has an instruction and then a promise resulting from the instruction like this
“He that believeth and is baptized ( action )
shall be saved;( promised result )
but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
Mark 16:16 KJV
Jesus words are like that
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, ( action )
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”( promised result )
John 5:24 KJV
of Christian’s understood faith we would be a strong body but everyone understands seemingly only what they already think , instead of letting what God said be true and be what we accept and believe
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying,
he shall never see death.”
John 8:31-32, 51 KJV

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

There’s wisdom of God and then the wisdom of this blind world the gospel is Gods wisdom sent to all People for salvation if we hear and believe the gospel we’re hearing and believing the eternal truths of God spoken forth by his wisdom and glory Jesus Christ our lord
