Circumcision of the heart is left out it it often. Isn't that an unfortunate oversight?Yes there is considerable debate.

I agree. I equate that with regeneration also. But everyone seems to have some nuance.Circumcision of the heart is left out it it often. Isn't that an unfortunate oversight?
Sorry my friend, I have to disagree.
It is " I live by faith IN the Son of God" NAB.
Faith is not imputed. It is the hand stretched out to receive.
No & how you gathered that from what I wrote is a mystery to me.
Christ does not 'believe' for us. Believing is something we do in response to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Faith is not the righteousness of God. It is the means of receiving it.
Faith neither produces or provides the righteousness of God.
Christ’s faith justifies the believer.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
1 Peter 1:9 - receiving the end of YOUR faith—the salvation of your souls.Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith IN Jesus Christ , even when we believed IN Christ Jesus,
that we might be justified by faith IN Jesus Christ etc Gal 2:16 NKJV.
The individual's faith leads to justification.
Romans 3:
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith IN Jesus Christ , even when we believed IN Christ Jesus,
that we might be justified by faith IN Jesus Christ etc Gal 2:16 NKJV.
The individual's faith leads to justification.
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God through faith IN Jesus Christ. NKJV
You need to get a more accurate Bible translation.
Whether to God or to others or both, regardless, his faith was demonstrated. You make this out to be much more complicated than it really is. In Matthew 12:37, Jesus said by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. This is because our words reveal our heart condition.
How can Christ's faith be you saying Yes to God.How can the righteousness that comes from God be divorced from the faith of Christ? If it's not His faith, how is it the righteousness of God? Does your faith produce or provide the righteousness of God?
what is he doing?I guess what I'm asking is this: how is it that a Christian who possesses the Holy Spirit can do nothing apart from Christ, but a non-Christian lacking the Holy Spirit can?
God does not remove free will. nor does he change it, he can do things to help someone see him and change. But he will not alter his free willPrevenient (or Enabling) Grace. God comes a frees the will so it can trust in the merits of Christ's death.
that's impossible.. That would make a person alive who is still in sin (not yet been justified)So regeneration precedes the exercise of faith?
that would be true, except wqe also have romans 4, Eph 2, titus 3: 5 which taken in the context of your interpretation of james, makes the bible contradict itself..James 2 really should put an end to all debate. Neatly tying together all of the misunderstandings about faith and works, but mostly it doesn't for certain groups. It isn't compatible with the "faith alone" doctrine and James almost wasn't included in the modern canonized New Testament.

You have 1 passage. far to many other passages say the opposite.. Or your interpretation of your 1 passage is in error

Not necessarily. It merely presupposes an inward work of God beforehand.that's impossible.. That would make a person alive who is still in sin (not yet been justified)
