Am I missing something?

R Kelly is going to prison for as much as 30 years. If you had another trial and he was convicted he might have to serve the sentence concurrently which would be a total waste of time for the prosecutor. So how is she not right in dropping the pursuit of this?

He had C.P. on his computer. That alone is worth an additional 10 to 20 years in addition to his 30 year sentence in New York
I'm guessing there are reasoning though is that since he will be 80 years old before he's eligible for parole in New york, wouldn't be much point in adding an additional 10 to 22 incentives because he wouldn't live long enough to serve the time anyway
My only complaint is that this is giving people a false impression that he's being acquitted because the women lied.
